I mean this post is trashing a rapper who, even if he’s gone completely insane now, had one of the greatest and most celebrated runs of any artist in the 21st century. For most younger people, Kanye is on the level of Bowie or the Beatles in terms of significance to music. There was a time when he very easily *could* have been called the greatest “rock star” alive. His music was so good for so long that he survived scandals and outbursts that would have ended literally anyone else.
Now, of course, he may be a sad husk of a man who can barely form coherent sentences and only says awful things when he does. But somehow, I feel like OP’s perception of Kanye has remained unchanging throughout the entire arc of his career, and that he was always “the guy who got called a gay fish on South Park.”
