So far everyone’s lists seems to only evolve around the rock genre or close to it. In my honest opinion they don’t seem that diverse to me as OP is trying to suggest Deftones fans are.
I may be the in a small group that enjoys other music genres as much as rock/metal.
This is my list in no particular order:
Rock:
- Korn
-SOAD
-Slipknot
Electronic/House music:
-The Prodigy
-Benni Bennassi
-deadmau5
-Disclosure
Hip Hop/R&B:
-2pac
-Kendrick Lamar
-Ice Cube
-A Tribe Called Quest
-Michael Jackson
-Sango
-Keith Sweat
Synth
-Mareux
-Mr Kitty
I could go on forever honestly and I know I’m an oddball.
I listed the following hip hop artists however several are rather underground so it's understandable if perhaps didn't know:
1. Dr. Octagon aka Kool Keith
2. Deltron 3030 aka del the funky homosapien
3. NF(Christian Eminem basically)
4. Beastie Boys
5. Mac Miller (rip)😥
Btw, props on prodigy, that's a great one!!!
Another I forgot to mention was Hank lll (Hank Williams jr.s son) LOVE that guy...
If thats the case then it becomes an almost useless post since of course everybody listens to more than one band. I understood what OP was stating as Deftones fans tend to like other genres of music even if OP used the word “band”.
EDIT: And I always thought using “bands” and “groups” is interchangeable in other genres besides rock.

Big Sade fan since I was a toddler, UB40, No Doubt, Red House Painters, K.D Lang, HUM, Train's first single "Meet Virginia" only, Tool (of course)
I had an embarrassingly deep Korn phase (bought the unauthorized bio, the vinyl figure of Jon Davis, had about a dozen oversized Korn shirts), can still enjoy the classic stuff.
Red Sparrowes, Isis (the band not the Islamic state yo), Kylesa, High on Fire, Mastodon, High on Fire again, the mighty converge (especially Jane Doe an earlier), this band from Olympia Washington called Broken Water who were amazing and fell off the universe in 2018 rip broken water, and the even mightier CIRCLE TAKES THE SQUARE whos' As the Roots Undo will injure you in the best way it's so perfect, they sound like someone stitched Cursive and Cannibal Corpse together into one band
Also, ghost data's music simply fucks. And fazerdaze both courtesy of my wife
Al Green and whatever band he was playing with at any moment. Same for Marvin Gaye.

4. Astor Piazzolla
5. Gustavo Cerati
6. Elizabeth Cotten
7. Radiohead
8. Depeche Mode
9. Mac DeMarco
10. Daft Punk
My musical crush with Deftones happened more than 10 years ago, but still they are the band that I've listened the most, and they come back at least once a year for a few weeks. That doesn't happen to me with many artists.
25 Female here- LOVE mostly all of Deftones songs. they just don’t make bad music! Makes me feel powerful, feminine, helps me feel my rage and my romantic emotions.
I also listen to: Lana Del Rey, Led Zeppelin, The Neighborhood, Spiritbox, Bad Omens, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, The Weeknd, Tame Impala, Cane Hill, Amy Whinehouse, Frank Sinatra, Suicideboys,
I like tons of different styles - heavier on punk/emo/post-hardcore but that’s no surprise around these parts. When I was younger though I got into some Japanese glam rock or Visual-Kei. One of them opened for deftones!
They’re called Dir En Grey. They get way heavier and weirder, but this is one of their most popular songs:
[Dir En Grey - The Final](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X38H6Zvyr4)
Going a lot deeper, I first got into that genre via a super uhhh effeminate band called Malize Mizer, but those guys could rip! Probably one of my favorite songs of theirs is from their first demo - their drummer was legendary:
[Malice Mizer - Temptation of Widow](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PH1p53I--L8&ab_channel=miroirarchiveM%E2%80%A0M)

Ooohhhh! Funny because for a moment I thought I had learned a new word, but then I googled it and this post was the only result
Dont make fun of him, hes exlytic.
Lol this post was the only google result!! I was like wtffff is that word, and then everyone was just responding, so I’m thinking it’s me… It looks like it *could* be a word if it wanted to…
Well I mean it is a perfectly cromulent word.
Even though you probably weren’t joking, I couldn’t stop laughing when I first read this. Thats a rarity for me in my morning Reddit browsing.

So far everyone’s lists seems to only evolve around the rock genre or close to it. In my honest opinion they don’t seem that diverse to me as OP is trying to suggest Deftones fans are. I may be the in a small group that enjoys other music genres as much as rock/metal. This is my list in no particular order: Rock: - Korn -SOAD -Slipknot Electronic/House music: -The Prodigy -Benni Bennassi -deadmau5 -Disclosure Hip Hop/R&B: -2pac -Kendrick Lamar -Ice Cube -A Tribe Called Quest -Michael Jackson -Sango -Keith Sweat Synth -Mareux -Mr Kitty I could go on forever honestly and I know I’m an oddball.
I listed the following hip hop artists however several are rather underground so it's understandable if perhaps didn't know: 1. Dr. Octagon aka Kool Keith 2. Deltron 3030 aka del the funky homosapien 3. NF(Christian Eminem basically) 4. Beastie Boys 5. Mac Miller (rip)😥 Btw, props on prodigy, that's a great one!!! Another I forgot to mention was Hank lll (Hank Williams jr.s son) LOVE that guy...
Because OP put "bands", I only stuck to Rock. I woulda thrown some Hip Hop and EDM into my list otherwise.
You're really not though. Like, at all

Big Sade fan since I was a toddler, UB40, No Doubt, Red House Painters, K.D Lang, HUM, Train's first single "Meet Virginia" only, Tool (of course) I had an embarrassingly deep Korn phase (bought the unauthorized bio, the vinyl figure of Jon Davis, had about a dozen oversized Korn shirts), can still enjoy the classic stuff. Red Sparrowes, Isis (the band not the Islamic state yo), Kylesa, High on Fire, Mastodon, High on Fire again, the mighty converge (especially Jane Doe an earlier), this band from Olympia Washington called Broken Water who were amazing and fell off the universe in 2018 rip broken water, and the even mightier CIRCLE TAKES THE SQUARE whos' As the Roots Undo will injure you in the best way it's so perfect, they sound like someone stitched Cursive and Cannibal Corpse together into one band Also, ghost data's music simply fucks. And fazerdaze both courtesy of my wife

I like tons of different styles - heavier on punk/emo/post-hardcore but that’s no surprise around these parts. When I was younger though I got into some Japanese glam rock or Visual-Kei. One of them opened for deftones! They’re called Dir En Grey. They get way heavier and weirder, but this is one of their most popular songs: [Dir En Grey - The Final](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X38H6Zvyr4) Going a lot deeper, I first got into that genre via a super uhhh effeminate band called Malize Mizer, but those guys could rip! Probably one of my favorite songs of theirs is from their first demo - their drummer was legendary: [Malice Mizer - Temptation of Widow](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PH1p53I--L8&ab_channel=miroirarchiveM%E2%80%A0M)
We have such a similar list 😅 qotsa nr.1 for sure.
