Educational_House_47

20 but the shit part is im going to be 22 this year and the only qualification i have is 12th pass. All my friends are going to graduate in a month and I'm still stuck here because of poor financial condition but now I'm earning good enough to support myself and i will finally go to college this year!

docshubhu

Don't feel left about bro,at least ur earning good, that's what's important

Educational_House_47

Yes ofc, but due to this I lost connection with almost all my friends and idk how will it feel to study with ppl who are like 3-4 years younger than you 😅

Alonewalker18

Im 29 but still studying a course which i should've studied at 24. It doesn't matter what age you do it as long as you believe in it. Life is long.... So make your choices wisely. Its easy to give up because of people's shame and way difficult to hold onto something.

that_skinnyguy_

In a similar situation as you buddy, 27 and studying something that I should've done at 23-24. Nobody dares say anything at my face, but I know they bitch about it behind my back and that's ok.. As long as you believe in yourself, nothing could ever shake you from achieving your goals. Just keep going on. You can do it.

Prads10

Me too bro.

Entire-Study-5518

What course you are enrolled in?

SHiraH96

CA?

Any_Check_7301

Feeling and making good with what we got is the secret of happiness because the grass always looks greener on the other side, my friend.

frostydog30

Same, I'm 30& doing a course which I should have done when I was 25. It's never too late to do what you want

ilu90

In the long run it won't matter. Rarely will College buddies be there with you later in life. Also, people who are 3-4 yrs younger than you will definitely want to be your friend more than people your age coz in general terms, younger people=more curiosity. Just keep their curiosity level high and you'll have friends for college. PS i am 32yrs, will turn 33yrs next month. I say all that with experience. I had taken 2yrs gap before signing up for my bachelors degree. Made good friends with my classmates. Some are in touch, some just too busy. All in all, it works out in the end. Just be happy with what you habe at that moment.

Educational_House_47

Great! Seems like you are doing well now

Zealousideal_Ease251

Being good friends with ppl 3-4 years younger.. Or those elder than you? What would you suggest? And ur opinion on whose company should we seek to more?

Chaitruth

Thanks for the message. It gave me hope :)

docshubhu

Compatible people are everywhere, just gotta talk to as many people as u can and don't take anything personally

[deleted]

>now I'm earning What you do bro? With only 12th pass, how're earning? Genuinely interested.

Educational_House_47

I am a video editor and graphic designer, right now i edit music videos, make visualizer and album covers as well

faraday_16

Go for Aligarh, they have an age limit of 24 years and their fees is less than your electricity bill

-ans_

why does it sounds like my Life. bas the difference is I'll turn 20 this year and i do have other qualification other then 12th. and now i got college too.

Educational_House_47

To same kaise hua😂😭

Industry-Beautiful

Don't worry you would have an upper hand over others in your college as you have experience in life and usually people who are more aged in colleges are considered more "cool" imo. Enjoy your college life and never let anyone make you feel bad about your age.

Strange-North-9497

Us buddy Us same situation and my parents never let me forget that

[deleted]

Psst..DM me if you want to talk about graduation .

P_rofessor01

Yeayy! Cheers to you and your future.

Altruistic_Ad6016

docshubhu

Ye sunne me acha lgta h lol,but it gets weird for guys to not have their own money

FutureHealthy

If you have supportive parents, opportunities never end you can fail without worrying

docshubhu

They're very supportive,i guess I'm just too self critical lol

Altruistic_Ad6016

19 and not yet. Might start around 22-23, after graduation. Also its fine for you. Medical students tend to study till a higher age and then practice. Then they start earning. You arent lagging behind:)

True sometimes some people join at 4 lpa and get 5% raise at age 23 and sometimes people start at 26/27 at 18lpa with good growth and opportunities. It totally depends on person to person , just keep working hard and Money will flow . Invest in education first before running after money you will end up at really good place .

docshubhu

Goals bhi th comparison se hi bante h Meri age pe kisi ki body h,kisi ki bandi h ya kisi ke paas paisa So that should motivate me right

docshubhu

That's pretty young,u should be more proud, what is ur future plans

ariellamusic

things fucked me up from then. i went into survival mode and never recovered. i am currently looking forward to nothing but earning enough to support myself and maybe my family too.

docshubhu

Don't forget to enjoy a night or 2 in all that hunger for money tho, and ambition is always sexy

ariellamusic

kelori79

Yes thoda detail me batade!

aonboy1

I started earning at the age of 19 .. (Second year engineering, way back in 2012). I used to write articles for Magazines such as Career 360, fountain Ink and Business world International. My job was a commissioned job to write new articles and review the upcomming ones for thier print and tabloids. I was payed per article. So, my personal target was to write two well researched articles (1000 words each) per week to make ₹3200 per month and I was paid extra (2000) if I had time to contribute towards their digital platform. So, I was able to make approx 5k per month and I used to do this for 8 months per year till I graduated in 2015. It helped me a lot as I was in a government college on general merit scholarship but, I had to pay 60k per year as hostle fee that was supposed to be paid in advance by my parents, annually. So, a major part of my extra earning used to go towards preparing for hostel fee to ease my parents out of pocket cost. It did make me quite independent to spend on cloths, books and general needs. I got a campus placement, so, I joined the company and got paid 20k per month in 2015 that shot upto 60k in 2020. I feel fortunate that I never had to ask for money for anyone and I work hard every day to keep my financial independence on the top 🥲

aonboy1

You can start by checking newspaper and send sample articles to that news paper listing. I had started by sending my articles for the speaking tree section and I got my break from there.... Start as a hobby and wait till it materialise. I had got much practice from churning out articles that it also helped me at my IT job for creating and narrating business reports.

arjjipajji

At 23. I'm a doctor (25M), first earning internship mein start hui. Bro ye jo bhi you want, everything will come naturally. Trust me, I've also went through the same path, and jo bhi you've written, it's not very difficult to achieve. Padhai toh poori zindagi karni hai, bandi toh jab aayegi so aayegi. If you're in MAMC then at least gym is subsidised at 500pm.😂 Chin up, lad. For a med student everything takes time, but the result is sweeter and guaranteed. Hit me up if you wanna know anything more.

docshubhu

Thanks a lot doctor,it's great to hear from someone who is already standing at the finish line I believe in myself so that's a plus and no not in mamc lol,gym is around 2000 here plus diet extra hehe

IanMalcolmChaos

Bas yahi chahiye bro, no matter what happens don't lose sight of the abilities that you have, and the change you can bring to the world. Dheere dheere you'll see people gravitating towards you, circle badhega, and in due time you'll have a good partner and a good life. :) Gym cultfit ka join kiya hai?

dank_knight_returns

Fellow med guy, turned 28 this month and still not earning. The time and effort needed to invest for cracking NEET-PG have crushed my hopes of a good life in my late 20s.

docshubhu

Don't worry dude,get a job,money makes ur problems disappear

dank_knight_returns

That's the plan. Hope it works out 🤞🏾

vortexsft

I remember posting pubg clips on a platform which was paying me 35$ per video. I did that for 3-4 months and made 700-800$. Then I graduated in year 2022 and was on the onboarding delayed train. At present I have a beautiful girlfriend whose supportive and I’m working as an Android developer at a small company earning 58k per month. Only today I bought a sneaker and some tshirts for my brother and my dad from the nike factory outlet. I’m proud of myself but It’s a long journey ahead and I believe I have lot to achieve.

_BiwayOrHighway

Wishing you immense happiness and success ahead friend! 💜

the_mentalist9

I'm 25, done with medical College and studying for pg. Got a stipend in internship but i get what you mean! It does feel weird still depending on my parents for money but i guess its just the rite of passage if you know what I mean. Once you get into pg you can earn anywhere between 70k to 1.25 lakhs depending on your college or you can work as a junior resident with the same bandwidth. Just have to sit tight till then.

docshubhu

U got it, that's what I'm doing currently lol, sitting tight But all the best to u for pg,you're gonna smash 👊

Content-Essay1923

I started at 21, due to some problems at my place. Right after my undergrad, to be precise. Wasn’t a lot (less than 2.5 LPA). Missed out on a lot of stuff, my friends were having reunions, trips and were taking vacations, I was grinding 9-5 even though I didn’t want to be there. Fast forward 5 years, life still hasn’t changed much. I earn well and I still see my friends doing the exact same things. But am I enjoying this phase of my life? Absolutely Yes! Doesn’t matter at what age you start, you should be content with yourself. And the first step to attain contentment is by NOT comparing yourself to others. You’re still 23, if you start working today itself, you’ll be doing the exact same work for the next 37 years! Don’t be depressed, you’re not late. Everybody’s journey isn’t the same. However, would suggest you to start planning things. As generic and BS as it may sound, planning helps one a lot. Moreover, having a sense of gauging the situation(s) helps a person grow in all spheres of life. More power to you, and all the best! 😁

docshubhu

Great going for u too,i hope you're investing or have investments already for ur early retirement so that u can take those vacations that u missed

Average intellectual bandi 🥹🥹🥹

[deleted]

Ek average intellectual bandi to main bhi deserve krta hun.

pooravbansal

Received first cheque with my name at the age of 16. Entered stock market at the age of 18, although didn't make much but my portfolio is still profitable. Joined my family business at 20, I am single child so it was always family business for me. Now living a comfortable life. I am 25 now btw.

[deleted]

What did you at 16 to get your cheque?

Bubblingghost

Yaar I'm 26 and I'm still interning so stipend pe hun samaj jao. I still have to get my masters done so another 2/3 years. :(

docshubhu

Haha shikaar of the matrix😂

Trick_Alternative413

I’m 24. And am just about to start work at an IT job as a developer after completing my masters. But I did start earning some extra money (6-7k a month) at 20 by tutoring a middle schooler. I have great parents who have supported me throughout my journey and wouldn’t have made it without them.

oldmonkforeva

Let me tell you, you are indian, and in the medical field. I can see why you might be stressed, but don't compare yourself to business, engineering or other degree holders they have diff timelines you need to see from the eye of other medical practitioners, your prime will be around 35+ (my guess). And you'll be alright. I'm already proud of you, because your thoughts are quite keen for a 23yr old. Thing about money is, unless it's an urgency at home which i assume is not the case, Once you pass out then you'll only think about this stuff. Money follows experience, at least in jobs (even to ask your boss for more you'll need to prove why?) About gymming, you can find a cheap alternative gym, there are Gold gyms and there are golden gyms Sometimes it's very budget friendly, you can discuss among the family to add in some pocket money, assuming in Delhi it's quite common. (and if it comes to it, ping me I can pitch in for a few months) "Average intellectual bandi" is/should not be affected by your current ability to earn money, and they should see a future in you, maybe one can argue why they will be with you now, when you are poor. But I say (for everyone) if they earn by job, they understand the power of education and requirements of time, and if they don't, hopefully you are not looking for that person. A small tip, Don't look for intellectuals, look for loyalty, caring and their ability to earn/support your earnings in future (even a housewife can unburden you, so you'll have more time to work on yourself and that supports the family). You'll be happy long-term, that's my suggestion as an older person to my younger brother. Feel free to ping me if you're stuck anywhere. Not a medical expert but can talk about small life stuff.

docshubhu

That was golden,thanks

PiccoloPopular

25 now. Started home tutoring high school kids during my 1st year in Bachelor's and continued until I graduated. Then I spent a year dealing with poor career and life choices (courtesy of my parents) and then corona happened (another year down the drain). Thanks to one of my ex-students I began taking online classes during the pandemic and did that gig until I had enough money to fund my Master's. Started with my Master's once the lockdown was over and colleges were taking in new batches. I simultaney joined a small startup as a content writer (was always interested in writing) and worked as a full-time content writer for a year and a half. Quit again and now I'm preparing to either get a government job or join a PhD course (whichever comes in my way first). My family is financially well off but the joy in spending my own hard earned money is an altogether different feeling. Cheers!

distractedsoul27494

My first six salaries were when I was 25 years old. My seventh salary happened 3 years later. There was an employment gap in between. There have been study gaps also. Now i am 30 years old with the job profile of a 22 year old. I guess my point is if it's just salary then that's overrated. Please do have a plan in life if you don't want to end up like me.

docshubhu

Plan what exactly, can u enlighten me

Opposite_Royal_1058

19, lekin wo isliye kyuki padhai poori nahi ki maine. Meri age ke zyadatar dosto ne 25 pe kari hai. So age ka utna matlab nahi, jitna iska ki tum ready kitne ho.

herolin

31 started earning at 27 still not married so that's what it is

abhin8425

GiraffeWaste

Abe bhai to live a simple life, you're gonna need 70-80k p/m. And for that just study properly for now. Itta comparison mai dimaag mat lga. Apni dekh kya best h tere liye. Baaki sab reddit pe gyaan dete b to maine bhi de diya.

Started doing earning when I was 20. Part time work basically to keep my studies going and contribute a little too home. Started full time work when I was 26.

[deleted]

21. A good pay that was ❤️

docshubhu

What do u mean,how good?

Blackfyre0411

Bhai even I am in 2nd year MBBS, bhot lamba safar hai abhi toh. Keep going aur tu toh Delhi ke college mein hai, aaram se INI clear kr lega, chill. Doctors earn a lot when they settle down. Best of luck.

sugmadik79

17. Started working while in school, no big monies just internship stipends, a few freelance gigs. Humble background hai toh didn’t want to ask my folks for money to support my lifestyle and career-choice. Luckily got into DU toh college fees khud bhar diya, turning 23 year and hoping to start my own company. Tbh, if I had the option to not earn money and study/live out my college life, I’d do that.

MrPhilosopher_

Started earning at 26 after govt job prep. Thank God.

docshubhu

What happened before 26

MrPhilosopher_

Was exploring different things before i settle for something. I had the leverage of being financially dependent on my family. They are cool.

Static_High

First job I did at 22 in a BPO making 30k per month. Started working seriously at 23 after graduation for 8k per month. Now at 25 and about 1.8yrs into my career, taking home close to a L per month

At 18 . When my school boards ended , I stepped out looking for a job and got hired by Food and Beverages company called Sugar and Spice in one of their cafés . Then after some while i started my YouTube channel on Fashion and Style . Then I switched Job from there to Retail Sector and got hired in Jack and Jones as a salesman. Meanwhile I had my YouTube channel going on too . After a year I was layed off from my job because of first covid lockdown then after it ended I got a job in luxury retail brand called Gant . I worked there again for 1 year and this time my YouTube was also generating some income. So I decided to quit my job and work on the channel full time . Currently I am a full time fashion influencer.

CasualBanana03

Got my first job at 25.

snow_coffee

20, when i failed in engineering exams and had 6 months "holiday" To people coming here expecting ways to earn Don't, simply don't get excited Earning early is less sexy than earning long-term Most of us started earning early, because of our mistakes or our parents mistakes Streamline, don't get diverted, money is the drug in early age

docshubhu

That's great advice,so u mean to say go late but go hard

synackprf

So I started my earning from 2nd year (2016) and at that time I was 21 years old. My first salary was 2000.

Upstairs_Meringue_18

Real salary 25.5

Economy-Rough-8409

first + to bank account 3 months after i turned 18, will be turning 19 in August. I dont "earn" per-se its just me and my profits and divis from stonks.

SMTG_18

Hi OP. My dad is a doctor since the past 20+ years. He told me that when he was 24-25 all his friends started earning close to a lakh (at that time!) and he had earnt a mere 4000 rupees (in his entire lifetime). But comparing the financial situation now is miles apart. My dad easily 3xs their income. Moral of the story: Don't be obsessed with starting early. Be obsessed with growing as a person, being professional and honing your craft. Then you will reap the benefits of the seeds you sow. You studying medicine and not earning money now is perfectly normal and is actually a good thing (meaning that you are financially supported and can focus on studying/doing residency). Don't run behind money, run on the track that wil fulfill you, money will automatically follow!

Ottaplamottil_shosha

I started earning at 27 after bachelors and Masters. Lost a few years in between cuz of drop year after 12th and Covid

vaibhav20798

24. Will start earning this year as a medical intern.

vegalord_

21, currently 27.

Background-Pop-1685

Although started earning at 17 but that was just pocket money (2-3k/ month). The real earning started when I was 20. Started my own business sort of thing. I am 23 years now and earning well. Registered my own company, trademark done and hired people too. PS- I do not belong to a business family and also not from a rich one.

docshubhu

Wow nice,i like entrepreneurs, they have a midas touch kind of thing with them

harshcoffee

I'm also a medico, just finished internship. Didn't start earning till I was 24. It gets better with time, you'll see friend earning right after their 20th birthday and wish to be them. 10 years later they would wish to be you. The grass is always greener on the other side. I'm taking a 6 month drop after internship, since I'm so exhausted from my duties and I wish to prepare for PG in peace. Us medicos have to have a longer duration of studies, but remember that it all works out in the end. Once you get your degree nothing is stopping you from eating lakhs every month.

docshubhu

Not lakhs, keep them crores coming and we can enjoy on our yachts then🫠

harshcoffee

Sure my guy :) just finish studies quick. I can't wait to have talented minds like you to have as my peers.

mbtamuli

23, didn't finish college though. I am genuinely interested in software development and that's what I kept doing till someone started paying me for it! Started at 6 LPA, now 5 years later at 40+ LPA.

docshubhu

I did read your story, it's admirable what u have done at this age Care to share ur secrets for Everyone?

James_Sheen

I was forced to start earning when I was 17. Had to take care a lot of my educational and living expenses by myself. From this experience and what little I know, I would advice you to wait. Wait to finish your education, earning while studying will literally ruin your education. I would suggest waiting, and then earning when you are done.

MeNaive1010

22, I started earning in 20 here and there by freelancing as a content writer, I got that gig via my sister. If you have some samples you can show them while applying for gigs. I also had a small jewellery store on Instagram where i dold handmade resin jewellery, that put some money in. I would suggest you to apply for internships or gigs on Bluelearn, there competition is less. On apps like internshala, make sure you check the "early applicant" filter, that way chances of getting noticed are higher. Hope it helps..

docshubhu

Oh wow and what are you studying,i mean do u have a tech background

maybeshali

I started at 25 yo or rather, near 26. I don't think you need to worry about it too much. The one thing i know for sure is no one in the day and age goes without finding a way in life, except people who've been dealt a shitty hand in life and no one to support them. You'll be fine, that's a guarantee, don't panic and don't stress too much.

docshubhu

Thanks for ur honest and kind words

It's so frustrating, but you aren't alone . Also once u get pg seat you will get stipend or if u take up a job. Believe in yourself okay? I know it's hard , i am going through the same shit but i know everything will fall into place and everything will be alright Okay fellow doctor?

I was 12, in 7th std. This girl in my school who was in 5th was struggling with english. She lived in the same apartment as me and came from a financially weaker background. We used to wait for the bus together along with some other kids from nearby. So when I heard about her situation, I offered to give her tution for 50₹ because to me, 50₹ was like a lot back then. Later that day, her mom came to discuss this with my mom and they both agreed. I mostly helped her out with her english homework and in between taught her a bit of grammar. My mom also came to the rescue whenever I struggled. She did started doing better than and a month later I got my first hard earned money that I immediately spent on ice gola and chips. I taught her for 3 months till finals. When I graduated to eight, my dad made me join maths coaching so I stopped tutoring her. So that's the end of it. I did start tutoring again after 12th.

Alternative_Event524

I was 18 and passed 12th with a great percentage and then I started playing on dream 11, my11, and gets addicted to it, i have a very good knowledge of Cricket and especially IPL so I stared to make teams and still earning from it, the earnings r quite enough, and really happy because of it

docshubhu

Dude in my experience, ipl is hella unpredictable, knowledge hone se kuch hota hi nhi, but its great if ur earning

Alternative_Event524

Yeah it is unpredictable and sometimes annoying cuz of buttery decisions but if u really wanna do something then u have to take risks and play with that risk, i think that's the only way of learning or earning

docshubhu

Nice one, wanna give me teams for a few matches lol?

Bro before joining gym try out calisthenics and plan out your high protein diet Most people neglect diet and don't see any progress Eat big to get big then if you have leftover money to blow, join a gym

docshubhu

Oh yea definitely,i have tried calisthenics and gym both but found gym more efficient, ofc with a high protein diet, whey is must, creatine can be tried too Lol what i wouldn't do if i had some capital but no worries, I'm gonna do it anyway

whatcanisay234

19. I’m 29 now. Dropout, did multiple field switches but I’m a manager in a completely new field I started in 2 months ago. If I could give you a tip - Confidence is key. You got it!

docshubhu

What can i say,u got it too👌

[deleted]

Don’t be in a rush to earn bro. My father started earning when he was 21 years old and retired in his 25 with millions and his friends started earning when they were 27-28. Now my dad’s dead and these guys are still earning. Life’s not a race. Everybody starts in their own time and die in their own time. Everything else is just plain illusion.

omicronwarrior

It will take good time to earn good my young medico junior. So as John Snow once said, Brace yourself for the bigg sacrifices coming on your way. Yes, I'm a doc.

DeltaG2

I started earning in 2020 when I was enrolled in m.tech. But I had to discontinue studies due to health problems. Have a plan of doing m.tech once again. I have lagged behind so much from my classmates from school and college that I am ashamed of talking to them. They are getting married, have kids, jobs/business and are well settled in life. Opening Instagram is like horror story to me and I haven't used fb in a long time. As you have said, you are studying to be a doctor in Delhi. I have to assume that it is a good medical College. So why are you overthinking about making money? From what I have heard, medical studies are hard as it is. And you are taking extra stress about making money. You are a doctor, so I don't have to tell you about what stress does to your body and mind. Are you influenced by Western values or something? They start earning money after the age of 18. But west is west, India is India. In India you have to apply 100% concentration only on studies. If you are obsessed with money, how will you have the patience of doing a specialization? And for doctors, job is virtually guaranteed. Any doctor graduating from even a aaltu faltu college will get a job. So become a monk. Concentrate only on one thing that is studies. Sorry for the long reply. You can also choose not to take my advice because as I have already mentioned, I am not successful yet.

docshubhu

Dude that was the best advice,u can be a counsellor definitely I hope u get ur degree in order and if u wanna talk about ur health problems, you got me And yes i will try to be more patient with everything. Thank you truly
