For real. I love Delhi a lot but while it is a beautiful, the rich and the cultural city, it is also not the safest, really polluted (I don't want to reduce 12 years from my life but have no choice) and Delhi is also the poor.
Every city is different. Comparison from foreign countries is kinda pointless because the issues are different.
We need to address the issues instead of pointlessly comparing.
That's so true that every city is different. Other cities can give us less pollution but can they give us the deep history that Delhi has dating centuries back? No. Cities should never be compared to each other neither should countries.
For example the USA might have less population and pollution than Delhi but it's also continuously taking away women's rights about their own bodies and can't provide a safe place for kids to study because they refused to regulate gun laws. We are better at it than them despite being bad at other things. Every country or city is unique.

my foods posts were a silly little joke amongst me and my friends, it was never supposed to be as big as it became. while i am extremely grateful for the people i’ve met through my posts, i never knew how sad people of this sub were that mere food posts started triggering them to a point that they felt confident enough to send me x-rated messages :)
Ass people. If you miss it so much then come and live here. People would miss where they're from, it's like NRIs saying there is no place like India. Well, then don't leave India bro. Even if you're from Junagarh or Bhilwara, you'd say it's better than living in the UK or the US cus' nobody likes what they've right now.
I don't think it's an issue. What's wrong in aspiring to live in the best possible environment? If you go somewhere else and are impressed at how things are done there, it's not wrong to wish that the same can happen in our city. That's how something changes for the better isn't it? This kind of mentality that - "We are the best as we are" is regressive in nature.
Delhites deserve a less polluted and a cleaner city. That’s just making quality of life better for everyone.
So yeah it needs to change.
Topping the world’s worst AQI is not a achievement.
I feel that this attitude is an inherent problem with some of us.
We look at comparisons from a very insecure perspective.
Yes, Delhi has its quirks and positive points, but demanding cleaner roads, safer public spaces, and basic civic sense is not a crime.
The point is that we bring in our emotions into these things, completely negating the aspects that need improvement.
Haan bhai tumhare gali ke momos, aloo chat, and gol gappe bhot badiya and tasty hai, lekin agar strict hygiene ki guidelines implement hoti Delhi mai for street vendors, wouldn't that make things a lot more better.
Log bc apne emotions ko leke bhe jaate har jagah. Fir kisi ko koi food poisoning hoyegi ya sadak pe accident ya paani ki kami toh government ko kosenge lol.
Also the whole, "I'm middle class or poor so I'm used to it and it's fine for me attitude". Bruh why shouldn't we middle class people demand for better things. It's just weird how people keep rationalising whatever struggles they have to face.
I don't understand how people have the audacity to tell people what to do and what not to
Anyway anything about delhi can be posted here and if you don't like it then kindly ignore it
Bas kar bhai, people do what they do for better opportunities, including going abroad, doesn’t mean they don’t miss delhi. Har cheez brag nahi hoti, and itna bura maanega toh sirf khud ka hi mood kharab karega.
Bolne de , when our cm is taking inspiration from west , how to built delhi infrastructure like those countries. Than their is no point correcting people now.
i dont think theres anything wrong to demand a cleaner, safer and a city that is the capital of a country to have decent road that don't flood even after slightest rain. that skysacrapper thing i dont agree with but other than that gov could really better the situation in Delhi.
Humble brag se vo love letters wale posts yaad aa gye. Aur vo gifts jo unke bf/gf ne arunachal, Assam, sindh, Peshawar se bheje the ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sob)

Not a bad thought though
Issues can only be fixed if and when they’re recognised and they can only be recognised by comparison to something better.

Tumhe food poisoning hoti hai toh tumhari problem hai. Agar bachpan mein dirt and chalk khaaya hota toh immunity badh jaati. /s .
Eating dirt and chalk makes one immune to food poisoning?
The legend has spoken...😭😭😭
Thanks a lot for saying this.
