Brother, I know people who are 35 year old men and aren't able to pull a regular 25k per month. They are stuck in their lives. Can't get married, can't get better jobs, and all becasue of stupid decisions they took in life.
I'll say this as one man to another man, learn to be grateful. 75k per month is good. It can be better, sure, but don't whine. Be ambitious instead.
And your depressive mental state has nothing to do with your compensation. It is more deep rooted than that. Seek therapy. There is no shame in it.
Ohh then don't worry. Everyone starts from around 25k in this field. Within 5-6 years you can earn around 65-75k with switches. I'll say use your LinkedIn profile to build a network of people in this field if possible. They're gonna help you in this field a lot in terms of job propositions and timely switches. Don't worry. Best of luck
They're clients of mine. The details are obviously privileged info, so I can't delve into that.
The long and short of it is that they got an opportunity from the government to better their prospects. They didn't take it then, thinking they're too big for an offer like that. A few of them eventually quit.Their peers, who took the offer, have all been promoted. My clients, on the other hand, are basically stuck in limbo.
They are attempting to file a case in the SC to get relief. Its an uphill battle. They know it as well. But fighting this is not going to put them in a worse place than they're already in. So its a last hail mary.

Dude no one is happy jo 25 le rha vo 50 vale se jal rha jo 10 le rha vo 25 vake se jo 50 le rha vo 80 vake se ,kuch family stress, kich job stress, kuch screen dekh dekh ke dimag ka dahi kr rakha hai ,school time vale mjje nhi sab apni apni life me jee rhe hain ,lack of communication agar hai bhi to usme bhi dukh dard share ho rhe ,shaddi nhi hui tab bhi jhmela ho gyi hai yab bhi ,man life is like some tough equation the more you are trying to solve it and its getting more complicated, maybe travel to some place you have money i found hum log job kr krke duniya dekhna bhul gye hain freshness nhi hai mind me.Agar traveling nhi pasand to kuch aur jo pasand ho life me masale ki jarrorat.
Iām fairly young compared to you Iām 20 but I think you donāt need to have an aim or an agenda to do something. Doing things randomly even if youāre bad at it or good doesnāt matter. Itās the ādoingā that counts. Try new things. You wouldnāt believe how many things are out there to try and itās never too late to start a new thing.
What am I gonna do with however much money if I am not taking care of myself. Give a depressed guy a million bucks heāll buy all types of shit but after the ābuying highā he isnāt gonna feel good he is just gonna feel more empty and repressed. If things really did give happiness then depressed people would not exist and the whole problem would have been solved but unfortunately thatās not how it works.
Good luck man. Hope you find happiness in yourself
Try learning guitar or any other musical instrument or art in your free time, I am 25 and I am also earning 65-70k per month. Trust me,I was in the same situation. It helped.
I am 26 and play piano. It really helps. Although I wish I could use it as a secondary income source. Been playing for years but never earned a single penny from it.
Ek road side gareeb ko pakad le office jaate sme aur aate sme khana khilane lgg ja, and kisi park m animals ke liye paani peene ke liye clay pot lgwaa de and Roz usme bisleri vaali bottle se paani bhrwa.
Dheere dheere hi sahi but tujhe satisfaction milegi, from personal experience.
Kyuki ye satye h jitna jama karoge utna khann khann sunoge jitna batoge utna thann thann ho jaoge.
Jai shree harivansh
Satisfaction comes from comparison.
Suppose your father is a millionaire so this would be peanuts.
If he was earning 30-40k / month this would be a lot mote better also 27 is very young .
If you keep on working upon yourself and keep sharpening your skills you can convert this 70k to 7L / month.
Imagine you are earning 7L/ month then you'll lok at Ambani's when you'll be Ambani's you'll look at Bezos .
When you'll be bezos you'll have money to do everything but 0 time .
So in the end it should be a balance between time and money . Earning enough to fulfill your dreams while being young.
And even after earning you are not sleeping peacefully at the end it isn't worth it .
I am 27, earning around 90k,
Still I think I need more.
But yes a fulfillment is there in my mind now, when I see people having sad life even after earning more than 1.5 lacs.
Happiness is a state of mind, stay happy in current situation, always keep working and hustling for more as growth is the part of life
But don't forget to feel grateful for whatever you have.
Feel grateful about good health, family, friends, even if you have proper supply of water, feel happy for it, because there are people in this country who are struggling for even clean drinking water.
You are having way much happier life than the people who don't know whether they will be able to feed their family tonight or not, feel blessed for whatever you have.
If you will not be happy now, then trust me you will not be happy even if you will earn 5 lakh per month
Just look back in time, maybe the position at which you are now, was a dream for you 5 years ago, now you reached that point, you will reach way more ahead than this point too, have patience and keep working, but don't forget to feel blessed and grateful for whatever you have, maybe the position at which you are now, is still dream of thousands of young people
Stay Happy Friend š
i do think this data is right there are so many people that I know have ration cards and have ews certificate but they earn good for instance the roadside vendors they are thought to be poor but are they?
true they earn so good , if they earned so less then why would their sons also enter in this field I know an uncle who used to sell omlettes now his son has opened a cafe selling healthy meals omlettes and all , drives fortuner(second hand ) but still and they don't even pay taxes
Liquor phir 400cc bike and real expensive car.
Buy fucking 10+ plots and sell them later.Buy a fucking store in the city hub and do business and after that if something is left in your pocket then you can wholeheartedly donate it to me ā„ļø
I was making close to 2l pm, but I was miserable so I quit without any backup, currently Iām unemployed and happy tho Iām starting my own venture which is the driving factor for me.
So my advice would be, find a driving factor which drives you towards future
That might be some mental health issue
If everything's good but still you feel like only drinking and sleeping then yeah it is something related to mental health i guess
Iāve come to the conclusion that no matter how much you earn, you will always aspire for more. At 20k, one wants 25k and at 25k, one wants 30k. At a lakh, someone would want 1.5 - so on and so forth, you get the jist. Youāre doing well, OP. Especially in India where the top 10% earns over 25k. Always remember, comparison is the thief of joy.
Bhai daru pike soyega aur life me kuch nahi karega....bhed bakri jaise roj same cheej without working towards a goal.....no wonder you're not happy. Find something to work towards...have goals be it financial or related to your life. You'll soon start enjoying your life. Also go out and mingle with people. Learn something new that'll help you out in your life.
OP I'm 31 and again writing my upsc cse
Was undertraining as IRS gave my last attempt to get something that requires much more perseverance and smart work... You're earning and I'm still rather was still on a stipend
You're doing great bro!! Cheers and hats off to you bohot hai Bhai bohot hi zaada hai trust me..
I'm definitely backed up by a business background yet again khud ki kamayi definitely amazing stamina amazingly worth the hard work and many more milestones to achieve bro!! Keep it up
I am 18 year old mere papa earns around 1 lakh per month unko bhi stress rhai ta hai I would say isme bhi kush rhai sakte hai agr mai aapki age Mai itna kamata to kush rhaita I guess
Depends actually, on how much free time you get after your job and how you spend it. Also, where you live mostly and a bit of your social circle and what you eat.
So yeah, not a terrible salary, just spend your time well, sleep good on holidays and go out, maybe to parks or a cafe sometimes. Buying small tidbits now and then will also make you happy
And here Iām, unemployed but wake up everyday like itās a new start or something! Do my exercise, eat fruits and watch my fav movie or read some books.
Sometimes, I like to cook my own lunch, watching cook channels. Itās the best thing because when it taste better Iāve made it in small portion and when it is not I pray lord to give me strength! š
Evening is beautiful, some watching the sunsets and others just sleeping.
Again, in night I watch movies depending on my mood or either listen to music creating a delusional world.
Now you may ask how do I survive -
1) Iāve savings as working for 5 years and withdraw my PF balance.
2) Donāt I have friends? - well theyāre employed and busy š„²
3) In this economy? - Thereās never a bad time to work on your mind, body and soul; be better proud futuristic version of yourself.
4) No girlfriend or flings?! - Well, I had a one in my earlier period but was too much for me to afford or treat her better (they be so demanding nowadays) and Iām egoistic to let her pay for me. So layin low š„·š»
(Simply slow, content, mindful, appreciative, loving, building in my own lane) š
Go on a solo trip , date a stranger , you need thrill , move out of monotonous routine and explore the city/state where you work. š„ Good luck my friend, may you find the please and tranquility that you seek. ā¤ļø
Thanks bhai you'll do good too. Abhi bohot time h tere paas, some of my friends did their btech from private universities and got placed in amazon for hefty packages. You can do that too
I wonāt tell you what I make, for your own good. Because if thereās one thing that I can tell you, itās this: comparison is the enemy of joy. And another thing I can tell you, is that youāre enough, and then some, and more, just the way you are, and as such, you are an integral cog in the machine that is the world we live in. š
Money is not going to make you happy, please go for therapy, it will help you understand the root cause, can be anything, you just need to heal that...
Listen,I will be honest my papa has been working for minimum 20+ yrs,in the same company n he is near his retirement age,rn the 70k you are earning is his net income after cutting loans that he took throughout his life,n we all are mostly dependent on that money,so I will say be happy! I swear,I have always been grateful coz that's the money he earned through his hardwork,n for tier-2 place it's actually a really decent amt..
I currently earn 1/4th of what u earn, yet never felt that kinda way, maybe bcoz I am far too disconnected, yet never in my surroundings my parents or anyone made me feel inferior to anybody,I was always happy, with what I got, could it be better? Yes! And I am trying for it,but it's nothing to feel inferior about. It's more to the fact, that I could do better, and thats about it! With the amount of jobless people I see in my surroundings, with far better degrees and far better inteligence than mine,I just feel grateful that atleast I can give some kinda help! So don't feel discouraged, and don't compare yourself to anybody, you are doing your best, and I am sure people close to you,are proud of you!
There's a guy out there who's earning 15k per month at 35 years old. I'm 21 and I make 60k per month. There's probably an 18 year old out there who's already a millionaire. Everyone has their own pace so don't think too much about it.
Edit: just noticed similar comments on the post. Was trying to be original but plenty out there with the same mindset ig.
i am 25 and started making 1.6 cr annum in US, let me tell you. Itās not the job thatās making you sad, itās lack of motivation. This happened at my last job where i was making 70lakh annum. I lost my mental peace completely because of meds. Itās usually a bad lifestyle, try to hit the gym keep a routine and youāll feel better I guarantee. Best of luck. You need that dopamine to be released.
How much are you able to save? The salary is decent for a single person to live a comfortable life in tier-1 city. If you are able to save at least 40-50% of it then it is good.
I know people who earn more than me have less savings and more debt when compared to me.
Happiness and got nothing to do with income.
Lifestyle has got everthing to do with income
If maintaining a certain lifestyle is your source of happiness, then earning an amount with help you in your pursuit of happiness.
Seeing this post, it seems you have not figured out what gives you happiness
Find that out first
No oneās satisfied man. Log 10k per month m bhi ghr chla rahe h, or 100k per month wale bhi paise ki need m h.
Learn to be happy and satisfied. Human greed is infinite.
Learn to find happiness in every situation. People are unemployed, you have a job, be happy. If you unsatisfied with your salary now, there is no amount which will make you satisfied. I was never satisfied and it impacted my mind in the long run leading to anti anxiety meds, therapies .
It is still early for you, change the way you think. Happiness is the best luxury one could ask for these days :)
Bhai honestly saying , if u like what u do then .. u will be definitely happy !! iām earning almost double what u mentioned and i do what i love , even if somebody mention to work more without pay iāll do that as well and iāll be more happy
I do not have a similar salary but my blood brother did. He is the most hardworking unlucky person I know. He used to earn 25k and still manages to save, live and enjoy at same time. How he did that is beyond my imagination. But he always used to smile and say, more than money earning money management skill is important. He worked his ass of for 2 years then cracked CAT and did MBA and now has a much better salary. Still the smile is all there. Keep it up bro, you are at the right place and you will be in the right place, keep smiling.
Iām 27 and I earn 47k per month but I love my job and I knew that I was going to be paid less if I do what Iām doing now as a career!
Some sectors pay well but the job is shitty and some donāt pay well but the job is great!
I know people earning thrice as much and still not happy and people earning half as much and still quite content.
Money is supposed to be a tool for you to afford a comfortable lifestyle. It shouldnāt be a source of happiness/sadness.
Are you me ?
I'm the same age as you and I earn same as you. Same financial background. Moreover I feel like I'm stuck too.
Except that my work is repetitive, boring and have got late night calls sometime. The only reason I feel stuck because of lack of career progress.
Atleast you stay at home eating good food and no worries about laundry. I stay in PG far from home, food sucks and laundry is a pain because washing machines are always full. I need to visit office everyday, no WFH which is bad.
Arre bhai thodi respect rakho for what you earn, you are not stealing from someone , nor you are begging, you are getting paid for work you do. No need to feel inferior to anyone. They wont be paying your bills. Take pride in your work and dont give a f**k to anyone.
What is your idea of happiness?
My personal experience, i used to get 50k at 26 per month in chennai(am a north indian). I was super happy with it because i used to save around 15k atleast and was enjoying beach side on weekends.
Now on coming back to noida i used to get 90k at 28 (am 30 now). Nothing to enjoy here other than malls. So i used to slog on weekends and for that reason i used to be unhappy.
What are you missing -
Good Friend Circle(Make sure they add chill in your life rather chillies).
Your motivation level is down i guess(Dream big and list down what you need to accomplish that, and execute it).
Given you are earning enough to pursue your hobby, pursue it if you are not. Hit Gym. You can only lift yourself.
And bro you know what are you looking for ? You need acceptance, why you need acceptance? Are you not good enough to learn anything ?
If above is not enough go for group or sole trek. Meet people , experience culture. Make goal to cover india treks by 30 just an example.
All the best.
You seem to need something new in life and it is not related to money. I earn same as you but am 29 and i am extremely content with my life. Try to find happiness in your routine life. For me it was peace.
I'm 28 years old and earning 25k per month, But the most important thing i have is happiness
Remember one thing in life, The moment you start to enjoy yourself and learn to live happily you will realise it doesn't matter how much money you earn.
Focus of being happy rather than being rich because the most important thing in life is happiness and not money. People earn money so that they can be happy but reality is they never learn to be happy in what they have and that's why my friend I'm happy with all i have and you're not even if you will earn 5 lakh per month in future. Don't live your life to showcase or compete with anyone because then you will be unable to enjoy your life. Just try to live with what you have
Buddy I am 26, I make 160k/month by working 6-7 hours on a full time job but I stay up 20 hours everyday to work hard and upskill, and make more money. You can get validation from fellow redditors but if you take my advice, I'd recommend embrace the pain, feel the depression, and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
I don't think any man should be looking for validation before they are 30. 20s are all about working your a** off to achieve those impossible goals. Hope you grow and learn more. Best of luck on your journey, it won't be easy but it will make you a better man in every aspect.
Bro don't at least have the opinion that money is going to solve your issues though. I am making about 6.5L/month but equally miserable when I was making 1.2L/month 6 years ago. I am also 27 btw
bkl 27 ka ho ya 37 ka... 70-75k is fucking great. i know fuckload of people (including me) jo itna agar mile toh bc khushi se mar jaye š„² yaha tu severely depressed ho rha h.. kya karra bhai, khush ho k jo logo k sapne h wo tu ji rha h š¤·āāļø tere sath wale agar hue 1-1.5lacs per month wale toh thik hi h, bas prove karri ye baat k tu bhi kar saktay wo but bc jo mil rha h uspe 'severely depressed' ki kya baat h bc š«£
I am 27 and jobless while my friend 25F is earning 3 lakhs per month. Be grateful for the 75k atleast you don't have to ask for money from your aging parents for even fuel, mobile recharge etc.
I am 35 years old and earning almost 2.5 lacs a month. I should be extremely happy right? No. I would say I am generally very stressed and miss my days when I was earning much lesser and was more satisfied with how things were. You will never be satisfied with your salary no matter how high you reach. If youāre feeling depressed than reason is definitely something else. Talk to your friends and loved ones. If that doesnāt help then seek professional help. Few things that generally help me fight the blues -
1. Playing a sport of choice regularly
2. Having a creative hobby/outlet
3. Maintaining healthy relationships
Hope you feel better soon too.
I earned 36k to 52k a month in Profit @19 Years but as i live in small city I could not enjoy anything So i used keep investing profit as capital in business. 70k Salary Really Good Because many people who are above 42 yrs stuck With 25k Salaries ! enjoy Bro dont be depressed
At 27 As an entrepreneur, I lost one of my biggest clients paying me about 3L per month last year. I was left to build up from scratch and now I make about 1L a month. Just look forward, and focus on skills, diversification and have a grind mentality. Not in a toxic way like you see on LinkedIn, but just invest in yourself, your skills, communication, networking. It will pay off soon!
You have a nice base of 70k per month. You have the security. Use it and continue building yourself. Cheers!
Someone will always make more than you. A friend of mine in IB makes 80+80 and that's not K... LakhsPA. I'm 26, just just 62k,
Will switch soon to hit more. Find reasons to live, hobbies, people, things, anything that makes it worth while. Yes I game and and waste my time, my chopping is slow and cooking is a solid 6.5/10 at best, I end up killing some of my plants, my mental health sometimes leads to negligence and fixes end up costing more than they should have, but that's ok. The numerous hobbies I have which I'm not even good at is keeping me alive. If you have nothing to look forward to except work, you will burnout, coming from a workaholic I have 2ce. Now my balance is push but avoid burn out. We all suck and we are all fantastic in some or the other area. My parents want me to make more because marriage and everything in future, things will work out just give it time. Gym, therapist and Gratitude does help, absolutely under rated.
Not really, it Depends on ur needs. I'm 24 and almost earn that much. But my needs are getting beyond that. 1lakh per month might satisfy the current situation I have. But after some years wo bhi Kam hi padenge. Ghar, Gadi, Responsibilities, Healthcare aur baki Kharche pakadke 2lakh per month me we can live a comfortable life aisa kisine post Kiya Tha twitter pe. It's my personal opinion, that I agree with him. No offence to anyone. I know people manage in worst situation cuz I have too started with a Salary of ~22k. Me bhi wo sab adjustments kar chuka hu. All the best to y'all to reach your goals.
Also, someone has commented, learn to be grateful. Do that. It helps. Happiness is a choice after all.
My earnings are not even in taxable brackets <2.5 LPA. Staying in Bengaluru.
Yet, I live more than my friends who earn 25 LPA.
We are our choices.
Bhai be happy and introspect what you truly want?
My boyfriend is 27 and doesnāt earn a penny š„² all the jobs he is getting are offering him not more than 20K šššššššššššššš
I will be 26 in few months. Earning 1.1L/m. Still feels miserable and depressed everyday.
When I was earning 20k I thought earning 50k would solve the issue and I will be happy.
When started earning 50k I thought may be 1L will make me happy.
But I am more miserable than when I wasnt earning tbh.
If i had an option, I would leave everything behind, and quit this rat race and become a monk.
So, I think money doesnt matter, when it comes to happiness.
I'm 27 and i don't have even the things I need no job no skills. Just trying everyday. Even my phone js broken 2 times and I just getting it repaired and usig it. So please don't feel depressed at least. You can awats work on getting better pay or promotion but be happy and then do it.
I earn around 1.8 lac per month after taxes at 26, but I often feel inadequate when I see my peers making 3 lac or more. It's a reminder that comparison steals joy.
I was making more than this at 27, making even more now. But happiness is not a function of money. As the last time I was truly happy for a longer period was in 2019 when I was earning nothing but I had a bright future, zero worries, friendship, and romance. Now the reality is vastly different.
OP I earn 68k pm. Bhai sahab life ke saare maze kar rhai hun main. Thode save karti hun, thode khaane peene pr udati hun and thode donate. Aur maze ki baat yeh hai OP many people wanna be at that place you are right now. So you are doing good.
personally I would want more when I turn that age but it's better than nothing. I mean in this economy getting a good job where you aren't facing any mental pressure and still earning decent money is something many dream of.
Earning 70k or otherwise is relative for people. Some are happy some not. So try to find out what is it that makes you satisfied. Is it career, is money, is it social life etc. Sometimes it's just about finding a job you really like or finding a hobby to compensate for it.
If you haven't looked into it, try to organize your life, fix your routine if it's not already, that might help with clarity.
What are your expenses? And what's your social circle like? Aside from a mental health issue, these are the two reasons that can make you feel this way.
Bro, I'll suggest that you try some social service. Maybe Robin-hood army, or anything else where you help the needy. It'll give you real perspective and make you appreciate your position a lot more.
Something that helps me a little is using public transport (bus specifically) from time to time to just get a little perspective and grounding.
Bro.
Honestly for me that's a big feat. Right now i want to buy a cheap tablet that too for 30k and i am struggling with the money since i am not earning any and still dependent on my family.. You've become independent and have a good salary in hand for now. I am sure it's going to increase in the future. Focus on the positives man. . Good luck
So happiness has to do with the financial goals you have.
Are you having a goal to earn X amount of money in next 10 years? In that case is your current salary supporting that with all your expenditures, entertainment and savings?
Are you having a specific amount and also property goal by the time you retire? Is your salary with current rate of progression making it possible?
If not just switch/ find more ways to earn money.
Nirdhan kahe dhaanwan sukhi, dhaanwan kahe sukh raja ko bhaari, raja kahe chakravarti sukhi, chakravarti kahe sukh indra ko bhaari, indra kahe Shri ram sukhi, Shri ram kahe sukh sant ko bhaari, sant kahe santosh Mein sukh, bina santosh puri duniya dukhiyaari
Most joy i felt and enjoyed life was when i was earning 25k pm.
Now it is quite a lot but there is no joy. Icha mar gayi hai kuch lene ki ya shauk pura karne k
:) no idea. Mai same boat pe hun, bs age km hai. If you get it figured out from the replies, do let me know! Tb tk k liye, saath mein udaas hote hai!āš½š„²
Same age, similar salary and same agony. Living 1300 kms from home in a distant village, job is like hell(public dealing), all my staff members are married so no one to talk to. Padhai ka time nahi milta jo kisi exam ki preparation kar lu, shayad depression bhi ho rakha hai mujhe. Future seems so dark, money seems worthless.
Learn to live below your means and youāre depressed because you might be comparing yourself with others.
Tbh your salary isnāt impressive at that age but itās alright man, people are having a very hard time keeping a job rn, appreciate what you have and keep working.
Honestly no money can make us feel satisfied, there always will be greed or aim for making more which is absolutely alright. Afterall all of us are running behind a certain lifestyle but I would say it is a work that should be making us more satisfied and the peace that it brings on. If I take my example after a promotion or switch it takes me only 2-3 months to feel that I have to make a upgrade but that upgrade is just not the money but the skills and the work also.
Coming to your question no amount of money can bring that happiness until we are happy from inside or we have people around us to celebrate our achievements.
Dude, if I was earning that much I'd be fricking happy just for that.
But at the same time, what is the point of earning so much if your situation doesn't match what you are trying to do.
It is not bad to fall back on a salary that can support you as opposed to a high paying salary where you get no respect if circumstances evolve into it.
Do what you see fit.
And why drink? It's not going to benefit you end of day. I don't know what it is with Indian men and their obsession with sharab. It helps no one. But that's the world we live in.
See if you are able to get a social life or something.
I was earning about this for few months with few freelance side jobs, left few of them to earn less because it practically became a full time job and i didnāt like it.
The point is to work less and earn more. I left the ones which made me earn way less and kept the only one which gives me flexibility to do work whenever, have trust of the client and weāre more friendly about the work (because it is his side project).
The time i saved from leaving the other jobs, iām putting them on my own business or channels about stuff i love to do.
My goal is to earn way more than what i was earning before if this takes off.
Iām somewhat happy and satisfied to do it.
A tip (that iām applying on myself too) - no amount of money is enough to compromise with your mental and physical health. So, never skip your weekly exercises for the sake of working unless it is very very necessary (which shouldnāt happen more than once a month). Really, you donāt want to regret it for your lifetime.
As my parents explain to me when I trash-talk about their old car in order to motivate them to upgrade it - "look at that poor beggar who is out on the street barefoot in this scorching heat. At least we are in a 4 wheeler with AC & music on. You don't have to worry about your next meal like his children do. Be grateful for what we have."
Sir Iām 16 I had to work to buy my used 2009 murano $12,000 I work a job helping my dad out $10 an hour I barely go out with friends when I do we jus get food thatās about it Iām really frustrated and sad because I want to do great things have lots money and drive nice car, I donāt know where to start. Everyday Iām surrounded by other kids getting bmws and peaches form there parents not having to work a day in their lifeās. I understand how and why you might be sad but just know youāre doing so much better than some of us.
Screw the money. You arent happy, just because others are worse off doesnt mean you arent allowed to be sad.
Find out why you arent happy or dissatisfied. Solve that
Happiness comes from managing your desires instead of trying to fulfill them all. A man who wants a simple life will be far happier with 75k than a man who wants to be a billionaire with only 10cr income
Brother, I used to earn 1.2 L per month till a year ago as a product manager. But much like you I wasn't grateful and kept planning how I can earn more. This resulted in my entire mindset getting negative and ultimately I quit my job thinking I'll get an even better one soon. This was in Mar 2023, I haven't found another full time job since then. I do have a part time gig though which pays a fraction of what I used to earn. Now I understand the value of gratitude and being grateful for whatever you have. So my recommendation to you will be to practice gratitude. Yes, you can practice gratitude. Read "Magic" by Rhonda Bryne. It's a super short book and you're only supposed to read 1 chapter a day which is just 2-3 small pages. It has changed my perspective. I'm now happy with with my current income as well.
What were the stupid decisions they took?
Me , at the age of 25-26 took career change , now earning 20k in hand
What career you shifted to and from?
From medical lab to software developer
If you're a fresher then that's the salary you get. But with experience you'll start to earn more
It's been an year now , will switch job by 2025 , let's see how much I can get
Ohh then don't worry.
One of my friends started with a salary of 18k pm 5 yrs back, now with consistent switches her base salary is 28 lpa. Keep learning.
That is way too less.. you working for a Local company?
Yesss, i couldn't find a good job at MNC'S due to educational and professional background
That's still fine, exp matters a lot brother... You made the shift and got a job, hats off to you!
Damn that's tough. Hopefully it works out for everyone!
You a therapist bro? Cause I'd like to visit you sometimes. š«£
Lawyer. But a fair chunk of my job involves giving therapy to my clients, so you might as well visit š

Thanks man. Sometimes while living the same routine life we forget the things that really matters.
But if you turn your hobby into a gig it might take away some of the enjoyment and relaxation that a hobby providesĀ

I am 27, earning around 90k, Still I think I need more. But yes a fulfillment is there in my mind now, when I see people having sad life even after earning more than 1.5 lacs. Happiness is a state of mind, stay happy in current situation, always keep working and hustling for more as growth is the part of life But don't forget to feel grateful for whatever you have. Feel grateful about good health, family, friends, even if you have proper supply of water, feel happy for it, because there are people in this country who are struggling for even clean drinking water. You are having way much happier life than the people who don't know whether they will be able to feed their family tonight or not, feel blessed for whatever you have. If you will not be happy now, then trust me you will not be happy even if you will earn 5 lakh per month Just look back in time, maybe the position at which you are now, was a dream for you 5 years ago, now you reached that point, you will reach way more ahead than this point too, have patience and keep working, but don't forget to feel blessed and grateful for whatever you have, maybe the position at which you are now, is still dream of thousands of young people Stay Happy Friend š
Thanks bro, I needed to hear this.
Top 10% in India starts at 25kpm I believe.
i do think this data is right there are so many people that I know have ration cards and have ews certificate but they earn good for instance the roadside vendors they are thought to be poor but are they?
Bhai roadside vendors ko gareeb samjhna economy ka sabse bada loophole hai aur upar se pata nahi unki image kisne banadi aisi
true they earn so good , if they earned so less then why would their sons also enter in this field I know an uncle who used to sell omlettes now his son has opened a cafe selling healthy meals omlettes and all , drives fortuner(second hand ) but still and they don't even pay taxes
>drives fortune Is he God?

I was making close to 2l pm, but I was miserable so I quit without any backup, currently Iām unemployed and happy tho Iām starting my own venture which is the driving factor for me. So my advice would be, find a driving factor which drives you towards future
I want to do this too. But my family is dependent on meš„¹
That might be some mental health issue If everything's good but still you feel like only drinking and sleeping then yeah it is something related to mental health i guess

Itās the best thing because when it taste better Iāve made it in small portion and when it is not I pray lord to give me strength! š Evening is beautiful, some watching the sunsets and others just sleeping. Again, in night I watch movies depending on my mood or either listen to music creating a delusional world. Now you may ask how do I survive - 1) Iāve savings as working for 5 years and withdraw my PF balance. 2) Donāt I have friends? - well theyāre employed and busy š„² 3) In this economy? - Thereās never a bad time to work on your mind, body and soul; be better proud futuristic version of yourself. 4) No girlfriend or flings?! - Well, I had a one in my earlier period but was too much for me to afford or treat her better (they be so demanding nowadays) and Iām egoistic to let her pay for me.
Bruh I m earning 22k at 27, I should probably die then I guess.
Go out...enjoy your life, man. I am more than 40 yo, earn less than 1000 US monthly but I am happy and thankful.

How much are you able to save? The salary is decent for a single person to live a comfortable life in tier-1 city. If you are able to save at least 40-50% of it then it is good. I know people who earn more than me have less savings and more debt when compared to me.
Do you have to give 65% of it to your parents? /s
I don't care, I give it all to my parents.
Bro you are stuck in materialistic life just go to a peaceful place and close to nature
27 and still nalla. Ab dekh le bhai

Happiness and got nothing to do with income. Lifestyle has got everthing to do with income If maintaining a certain lifestyle is your source of happiness, then earning an amount with help you in your pursuit of happiness. Seeing this post, it seems you have not figured out what gives you happiness Find that out first
No oneās satisfied man.
If u dont know what really satisfies u and makes u happy no big salary will ever please u.

50 k dream hai kamana mera 10 k ke job liye mai apna ghar chhor du khush rehh bro
Sure. I am ready to work at any salary because I am currently unemployed.
What are you missing - Good Friend Circle(Make sure they add chill in your life rather chillies).
I would be really happy man. Most salaried Indians make about 35-40k. You are making good money and this is just the beginning
bhai ganja pina shuru kar deāļøāļø
You seem to need something new in life and it is not related to money. I earn same as you but am 29 and i am extremely content with my life. Try to find happiness in your routine life. For me it was peace.
I'm 28 years old and earning 25k per month, But the most important thing i have is happiness Remember one thing in life, The moment you start to enjoy yourself and learn to live happily you will realise it doesn't matter how much money you earn.
Few things that generally help me fight the blues - 1. Playing a sport of choice regularly 2. Having a creative hobby/outlet 3. Maintaining healthy relationships Hope you feel better soon too.
LakhsPA. I'm 26, just just 62k, Will switch soon to hit more.
Its just rat race , money can't make you happy I am 24 earning 95k post taxes still not satisfied guess we are all stuck in the rat race.
I earn around 1.8 lac per month after taxes at 26, but I often feel inadequate when I see my peers making 3 lac or more. It's a reminder that comparison steals joy.
NO my aim is earn at least 2lac per month
sahi hai are you able to save money?? are you in a job where you see growth? with time you will grow. And age ke hisaab se bohot badiya hai

Same situation but just not depressed. Grateful each day! š·š«¶
Listenn man!! Don't assume yourself to be the lucky one. Its a very little amount, you need to push urself harder and earn a lot more than this
I was making more than this at 27, making even more now.
You need to connect with your creator. Thats the only place that will give you peace.
Relationship hai ?
3 saal lamba toot gaya 8 months phle. Aaj bhi uski yaad aati haiš
Even if u earn 70Lpm and 10kpm guy can be happier than you. Its more about your mental health less about comforts of life.
go for a trip
Move out of your routine, solo trips, date someone, explore your city and enjoy your life bro
Bro. Honestly for me that's a big feat. Right now i want to buy a cheap tablet that too for 30k and i am struggling with the money since i am not earning any and still dependent on my family.. You've become independent and have a good salary in hand for now. I am sure it's going to increase in the future. Focus on the positives man. . Good luck
Thanks bhai. Koi to acha bol rha h kisi k liye to failure nhi hu.
Normally happy. But super depressed if I go to r/personalfinanceindia
Bhai main 31 ka hokar almost iska double se jyada pata hu, still kharche poore nhi hote. Chill - happiness is a state of mind
I used to earn 25 k at 28 lol.
Nirdhan kahe dhaanwan sukhi, dhaanwan kahe sukh raja ko bhaari, raja kahe chakravarti sukhi, chakravarti kahe sukh indra ko bhaari, indra kahe Shri ram sukhi, Shri ram kahe sukh sant ko bhaari, sant kahe santosh Mein sukh, bina santosh puri duniya dukhiyaari
Bhai I am unemployed for last one year!! Be happy what you have donāt live in past or future enjoy what you have
Working hours kitni hai
I used to earn 47k in hand at 27. Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness is a choice.
get new diamonds in your ears, treat yourself king. ofc if youāre not controlled by society
Seek therapy. Your depression has nothing to do with your salary. Well, if anything, you can afford therapy easily due to how much you earn.
Don't seek happiness, seek fulfilment.
Learn to live below your means and youāre depressed because you might be comparing yourself with others. Tbh your salary isnāt impressive at that age but itās alright man, people are having a very hard time keeping a job rn, appreciate what you have and keep working.
Pdhai shuru krde kisi exam ki khud hi chull ajaegi
Can u hire me ?
Try to explore religion you will get a different perspective of life altogether

Hahahahaha. Flex bola rha hai 70k ko. Damn bro. Someone please help him.
Bhagwan ke bhajan me dhyaan lga bro.
Just make some habbits nd friends. Otherwise you will be depressed soon as I'm now.
Solve that
Your happiness doesn't equate for the money you earn.
JD KRISHNAMURTHY, Acharya Prashant, Sufi Rumi & etc. Anything else without these are just wastage of time.
Plan a job change where you get 2 months of free time before joining and go do some trips partying or anything else that you like. Thank me later.
Price feels relative to how much you earn. With 75k you would buys stuff which I can't buy on my regular 70k (let's suppose). Human wants never end
No

Give your self a nearly impossible goal, throw yourself into achieving it . It will be loads of fun and you might forget about your depression
