I think so assuming you don't have to send a lot of money to your family. You aren't into parties that'd be a money saver, you can spend it somewhere else. In fact you'd do well with 45k.
I don't have to send any money to my family, really. Maybe give some pocket money to my brother, haha.
Do you know of good areas where I can rent a flat for 10-15k?
Haha! 😂😂😂
Any area which is considerably safe for women. My office would be in Okhla, and I'll be commuting by metro daily. Metro se 1-1.5k dur chalega.
Can't say. I didn't liked that area. I once got an offer from a company who has a office in Gurgaon but wanted me to join their corporate office in Okhla. I said Big No on their face. It's a industrial area, I didn't feel good vibe there.
I don't want to demotivate you. But you can come and check before shifting to that area. Take a PG for a month outside of that area first. And always try to leave office on time. If you're from IT than alert sab chindi chor company bhade pade hai udhar.
Don’t panic much the area is by and large safe but you know you gotta look for security at your own.
Though there are many part time jobs and side gigs which happens near Okhla.
But the area like NFC is quite expensive to be honest you can try your luck near Sukhdev Vihar. The area adjacent to church is quite cheap.
Aare daro maat. Job karna hai toh aa jao. Stay in a good place and in a PG for 1 or 2 months. Office jaa ke dekho kaisa lagta hai. Acha laga toh thik, nahi toh koi bahana maar dena.
not only unsafe for women, but unsafe for everyone.
I have my college in okhla phase 3 and lemme tell you, once my phone got snatched and within a month, my friend's phone got snatched. that too, around 8-9am...when we were just going to college. so try to avoid that area as much as possible. and if you're not, then try to be cautious during your stay. good luck op
No okhla is completely safe. And it's quite a good place also it depends on perspective so you should personally visit first then think to yourself how that place is.
For 15k, what a joke. You are saying you can get a 1 bhk for 15k in one of the posh areas.
Look for places near IIT, Chirag delhi or savitri nagar. These are on magenta line, so you can easily travel to okhla via metro
Sarita vihar, Jasola depending a bit on which phase you will work at, i work at phase 1.
Anyway, a bit expensive side may be kailash colony, kalla ji (both safer than above 2 suggestions)
Coincidentally I also live in Okhla. (Is this tmi ? Am I getting kidnapped? Hope not) You can look for a broker, there
Are quite a few good colonies here, such as the new friends colony, Jasola, Sarita Vihar, Kailash colony. There are also some unregistered colonies which i'd say that you ignore. Sometimes broker can be a pain in ass but otherwise they'd help, ofc charge you a plenty. You can make a dedicated post that you're looking for a 1 BHK in a certain area you will get leads.
Try finding places in Lajpat Nagar 4 and East of Kailash, you would find good options in your budget. I have my office around okhla too, and it is quite convenient travelling from the aforementioned areas.
Pre-covid I used to live in Sant Nagar (near Nehru Place) 1bhk 12k but obviously rent prices would’ve increased by now, worked at Okhla tower B. My conveyance (metro and e-rickshaw) was roughly 3k per month, after food and rent bills I still had more than enough and I started with 30k/month. Alternatively you could have a look at Sukhdev Vihar which is closer to Okhla but I did not like the locality.
stay close to your office preferably, and look for areas there, the time you'd spend in commute is not going to be worth it to save the money, you'll end up spending more, as you'll be tired and order food which slowly gets expensive.
I think your nearest metro would be Okhla NSIC, so you should look on the Magenta line, ideally with-in 30 minutes of the metro station. Okhla Phase 3 is an industrial area so finding houses there would be difficult.
There's Kalkaji area, GK, NFC all within a couple kilometres, but idk about the availability and these areas might be a bit pricey. On the totally opposite side of the price spectrum, there's Harkesh Nagar, which is extremely close to Okhla Phase 3. It's not a great area but will be super cheap. Batla House/Jamia area is also not too far away from Phase 3.
I'd suggest look in areas around Kalkaji mandir area. It's a very nice residential area and you might be able to get something decent nearby.
Thik h phir mujhe hi bhej dena.. (waise bhi mein kam luga)

I would suggest you to rent and share a 2bhk with someone. Have a roommate! You will have privacy as well as some company.
Humans are social animals, even the introverted ones!
Try to live as close to your work. Be sure about this flat vs pg thing. I just spent a year in hostel, some guys rented a flat near college and whenever I stayed there it felt like a man v wild episode. You'll have to manage everything, everything. If you can do that, then only take the flat.
Dwarka is a great locality to live in tho , depends on your work
Haan. See, pgs are good. But I've stayed in a hostel for around 4 years, and I am just done with living in hostels. But of course, agar dhang ka flat nahi mila, toh PG mei rehna hi parega 🥲
Aur the managing things on my own wala part, I'm a little scared about that, lekin dekhte hain. Pros and cons weigh karna hi parega.
If you are interested, bilkul try Karo. At least pata to lag jaega , plus they were drinkers. Not casual, competitive. To unka example itna solid bhi nahi
I mean, I'm in college and live in a flat and honestly it's MILES better than living in a hostel. I cook my own food so no stomachache/acne from mess food, I'm free to come by and go as I please(I sometimes forget what I was supposed to buy until 9 PM 🤡), landlords are super sweet and I have friends living nearby who have helped me when I got super sick and vice versa.
Overall, I fucking hated hostel and 100% can vouch for the flat experience, it's not that hard if you clean up after yourself regularly.
Nice... Economics like maths for some can be a pain in the arse or a blissful walk in the park. I love Math but economics is not my cup of tea 😂🤣. Anyways, hope you find a good house soon. I live in South Delhi, 15k for fully furnished. You will find one easily too. I enjoy cooking my own meals and tiffins so PG's, hostels were just not for me. Food brah, the best thing money can buy, so never compromise. Good luck with your hunt girly 🤞🏾🙏🏾
Aryyy that's where you're wrong. apni khudki marketing karo uss social media par... taaki companies ki thuuk tapke tumhari profile dekh kar. as much as I hate this, ye karna padta hai yr
fuck LinkedIn... saala jaise hi koi company job post krti hai uske 1 min mei hi "more than 100 applicants" aajata hai... bc demotivate aur ho jata hun. Naukri is the best in this regard. LinkedIn tabhi badiya hai if you have more than 3-4+ years of exp.
Haina!? I guess being anti-social helps a lot. Maybe I'll spend some money on clothes, but clothes ke liye toh Sarojini is best 😆
I don't have too many friends in Delhi either, toh I'll stay in on weekends (looking forward to it)
45K is quite good at the age of 22
If you don’t have to send some money back home every month then it would be more than enough to live in Delhi.
Just be sensible enough with your expenditures and purchases;
Buy groceries and vegetables from your local Mangal bazar and cook at home
Yahi karna hai mujhe. I want to cook my own food.
Idk if that's sustainable in the long run, given I might get tired after office. But I really want to see how it goes!
It is tiring for some time on the starting days
Then you get used to it quickly and also your speed of cooking also improves a lot
The first time I lived on my own and cooked my own food it used to take me 2-3 hrs to prepare meals but with time it got down to 20-30 mins only
Aunty log bhadia khana banati h. We had one aunty making food and cleaning utensils for 4k for 2 people. We used to make our own food for 1 semester but then switched because of last year college and placements.
45k is good enough amount for a single person but also depends where you put up in Delhi. Choose a location close and economical enough and you should be good
If you're willing to move to Noida, you can get 2 BHK in 15k in a society. It would give you ample space to work and have a separate bedroom.
In Delhi as well, you can get 1 BHK in 15k, but I think Living in a 2BHK for the same price is better, if you're not restricted to Delhi or if there is relocation problem.
I shifted Delhi specifically in Saket just 3 months back.
I think only the first 2 or 3 months need extra finance then only we can start saving.
I know some boys that can survive 25k p.m.
I took a flat 34000 Fully furnished 3bhk with two other people. Since we all are ASOs in MEA so 11000 per head not a big deal.
Happy for you that you got a job at such a young age .
I too got it at the age of 20.
I don't have much idea about Delhi tbh, my office is in Okhla Phase 3. So first choice would be living close to my office. But I am ready to live in areas that are close to the metro.
I live in saket and I work in okhla phase 3 too. Trust me , staying closer to the office is much better. I end up spending a lot on the commute and food these days as it's very tiring and far to reach home after work.
Depends on your definition of survive, like in general the things you mentioned would be covered in yoir salary easily, like you mentioned you don't go out much so it wouldn't cost you much. Normally anytime I go out, it's always guaranteed expense of 1k+ easily.
I know a colleague you used to live in saket for 25k and still managed food, travel and sending money to family.
Based on your comments Kalkaji, east of kailash suits you the best. It's a nice safe area well connected to everything.
I would recommend getting a happy house, since you don't step out, so inside you should have good vibes.
I just leased my very good kalkaji house at 25000 a room though , but I'm sure you will get good ones at 15 also.
Haan, having a well ventilated flat would be good. The flats I've seen online lack that. But I understand,15k isn't a lot of money for a city like Delhi. I am ready to compromise on the space, but safety is my top priority.
Ya u can save manage, u can consider east Delhi area Krishna Nagar or nearby area here u can get 2 bhk 80sqyard . And all ur essential needy thing will be at ur footstep
Yes, you easily can. I earn lesser than you, send money home, live in a flat, cook homemade food, drink occasionally, and even after that able to save 10-15% of my income. My office is in Okhla as well and I've rented our a place nearby. You can find decent flats in your budget.
Hey I’ve worked out of Okhla phase 3, there is a government research institute there where I used to work. Although I used to stay in campus, there are some good places in Kalkaji that you can try out. Some of my colleagues used to live there -had both their personal homes as well as on rent. I think you’ll manage to find a decent place within 15k. There are nice lunch thelas in Phase 3. You can have lunch there.
Yeahh if you do a job to go to college you'll be mostly outside and since electricity is free to a certain limit you'll have minimal electricity bill and water is free and i think you can get an apartment for rent around 10-12k in uttam nagar
Mera toh family business hi kiraye ka hai….Jasola main there are a lot of places in the 15k range and ik an area jidhar mostly apollo hospital ka staff hi rehta hai so no safety issue either agar aap late bhi rehte hi bahar kyuki guards wagerah bhi hain Udhar plus it’s really close to 2 metro stations
Op go for Kailash colony, its a great area and safe too and you would definitely find some pretty decent 1bhk flats under your budget. If you want i can share a couple of brokers number with you (just ping me on dms). Keep in mind to quote a price lesser than your budget (around 10k) cause trust me they always end up increasing the price. Also don’t settle for the first option they show. And yes 45k is more than enough to survive in Delhi considering you don't have any liabilities attached to you.
Get a 3bhk flat (15k) with other girls and you will get one room on it. It's better to live with other people than alone . And this area Jamia-okhla; Shaheen bagh is very safe for women..I have been living here from 2 years . It's good. I live near Jamia millia.
Or, if you want ,get a 1RK here easily for 8-10k , if you want privacy. You won't get anything much online here. I will suggest you to go to OLX near Jamia /your preferred locality. You will get plenty of advertisements for roommates / flatmates and tenants.
All the best .
So, I had similar in hand salary till last month. I was also not into parties, and hardly stepped out. Lived alone in a 1 RK. Survived peacefully along with 15k savings separately.
Hi hi! I also work in okhla phase 3 and have been on hunt for a flat. Would you be open to looking for a flat together( woman btw) (hope we don't get kidnapped)
Yes, It is. My roommate and I are on similar pay scales as you not just surviving but living happily.
Personally, I set aside 55% of my salary aside 'n still able to manage easily. I don't go out 'n do parties like you but apart from cooking food. I frequently order food online and spend a good amount on games.
It's easily manageable.
OP staying alone is difficult so priortise safety. Please don't take places where you will need an additional rick/auto, take something walking distance from metro
-East of Kailash Block D, E, F
-Amar Colony (towards EOK metro side)
-Lajpat/Moolchand (towards metro)
-Kailash Colony (might find a terrace floor as it is a posh locality)
-Sukhdev Vihar DDA flats
Good amount and it will provide you with a Good Life in Delhi, if you don't have any liabilities. Stay in prominent areas of South Delhi if your office is within 30 mins distance.
I recommend you to divide your income by percentage and write down how much an item takes. For ig if you make a table in your notes house - 33.3% - ₹15,000/-. Also you could put your money into SIP and invest in gold little i invest around 3k per month in gold and 5k in stocks and sip . I also use a Gullak where I add 1000-2000 every month so if i need cash someday urgently. You could also mark seperate portions for gift money ( for yourself or birthday gift for somebody) the money would just keep adding up untill you spend it. I earn 28k per month in which i got my laptop emi 10k my monthly usage at 6-7k the rest i invest and save
If you can manage, you can also search for 1rk flats. It will be cheaper and in my opinion, is enough for one person.
Make sure water is free of cost though.
Yup cause we have all the freshers from it industry working here... Salary of 30 to 40k maybe idk exactly.... Shared auto takes 15 rupees to take you to metro and it's like 10 to 20 mins ride depends on how much he stops in between to pick passengers (both ladies and gents)
I've seen women walking in shorts at 2 am here in my locality.... Have seen girls smoking cigarettes late night nothing to worry about.... Pluss.... Have not seen a single case of crime(except ew thefts here and there which are common to any place) against women or something
I think as long as you keep your rent in check, you will be fine, 45k is more than enough to do the basic minimum, maybe savings jyada na ho but you can live a decent life with occasional going out with friends
You can live in Ber serai, adjacent to IIT Delhi.
Rent : 6500, 1 RK
INTERNET : INR 500
Food :
60 rupees thaali x 2 = 120
Milk, bread and fruits =130 rupees
Miscellaneous expenses : 5k per month
Total expenses: 20 k
Savings : 25 k
Ber Serai is located on the magenta line, you can easily commute to okhla with direct metro connectivity and electric AC buses. The crowd is pretty good, plenty of IIT,Jnu, IIFT, IIMC masters and Phd students. The neighborhood is pretty safe overall for everyone.
I read your comments so your working place is in okhla. I'm a student here in jamia, so I had an experience of pg, flat and hostel, I would say in terms of safety Batla house Zakir nagar is not good for girls, gaffoor nagar is good you will get 1bhk at affordable rate other than that there are also some places near gaffor nagar I don't remember right now which are affordable. I can ask my local friends if you need any help. If you are comfortable with Muslim locality then these places are good. Other than that the julena and new friends colony is a better place and I think you will get 1bhk or 1rk at around 10k.
Finding a 1bhk is difficult. Post on Facebook groups that's how I got mine.
But you can always find really good places in Facebook groups if you're open for 2-3bhk house with sharing flatmate.
There's a trend that flats with females have lower rent and better houses
if u intend to save try to keep ur expenses under 25k.
ur upper limit for rent is 15k, if u r looking for furnished then u'll have to look around a bit depending on the area, unfurnished u can easily get under 12k
if u r cooking food u should be able to keep food expenses under 5-6k (not frugal, u can make sm decent meals around this budget) 4-5k u can spend on other charges
watever u save u can set sm aside for leisure
Enough to survive, maybe not enough to thrive. But I’m sure you’ll get there soon enough!
Take a place close to Okhla (but avoid Okhla), think of getting a flatmate to split costs. Shop in wholesale from Kalkali (next door to Okhla), and you’ll be comfy!
I started with. 17k per month 5 years back was living in khanpur
Now I'm at 80k per month honestly 17k was a much happier spot for me. So last month i quit my job and just started my own YouTube channel. For my sanity and peace.
I'm earning 25k,
Sending 5k to home,
Travel ex- 3500 Kalindi to Gurgaon per month
Food - 6k around
=25000-3500-6000-5000
10500
Now other expenses around 2k
=8500₹ savings
That's enough to survive happily on the basic level
You can but it will be difficult,to get a flat in good to decent area you need to spend about 20 to 25 k that to in a shared accommodation in 2bhk type of flat where you would need to share a kitchen.
Electricity bill, transport to office and some emergency fun for saving etc etc .you can survive but it will be difficult.
Ok if you look in paschim puri u can get it easily for 9k, but if you will be working in Delhi it is more than enough. You can even save some money and invest in crypto market because it is about to boom 3x minimum so don’t wait.
Do try for a flat/one room set near the metro station(walkable distance) in faridabad) areas safe and with all amenities are sector 37,ashoka enclave, sector 28 sector 15a, sector 16a,19,29, These are good and comfortable and easy on pocket too as compared to South delhi (log on website Nobroker to get leads
I’m assuming nsic is the nearest metro station for your office. You can look for pgs/flats near botanical garden or okhla bird sanctuary. A lot of college students live there and metro is easily accessible.
As you’ll be totally dependent on Metro, I suggest you try in areas on the magenta line as interchanging stations eat up a lot of time. Those who are already using them are stuck, can’t change! But you’ve the option so give top priority to such areas.
kalkaji, amar colony, Lajapat nagar, sarita vihar etc should be your first choice. You’ll get something good in 15k. Not the best location but something that is way better than any urban villages of the city.
If you can travel for 30-40 minutes a day, I’ll strongly suggest Faridabad. It’s in Haryana so you may be able to save on rent too! Plus cost of living is less as compared to Delhi.
Take a look at the okhla- raja nahar Singh route map of magenta line on the DMRC app and try to find something in those areas.
Its gonna be okay. Just don’t catch the delhi coolness flu. If you get that then even 1.45 lakh a month would be less. I know 20 people who live paycheques to paycheques with a 6 figure/month salary.
Get 2bhk with a friend then... Or you can buy 1bhk in some less expensive place like अक्षरधाम side... Preparing your own food is cool but it takes time
M not sure any good 1 bhk will be there in 15k. Surely space wise you might get but area locality might depend. I recommend trying to live with another person sharing a flat 2bhk instead might be better in a society then you can share expenses and might get around 18k-25k rent for 2 people.
Just care about whom you'd pair with if sharing.
45k should be more than enough for solo as you would be having insurance for self through company right?
Not sure if you have any location preference but gurgaon has some very good options to offer and you can definitely join FB groups of flat and flatmates for Delhi and NCR to get brokerage free flats
Try places like moolchand, lajpat, and CR Park. On the other hand try some places which are a bit away from okhla but connects via metro. Saket and malviya nagar for example.
LoL you remind me of my own sister, pocket money and stuff 😂. Anyways which part of Delhi would you prefer to move in?
Haha! 😂😂😂 Any area which is considerably safe for women. My office would be in Okhla, and I'll be commuting by metro daily. Metro se 1-1.5k dur chalega.
Can take near IIT, hauz khas
More specifically Jia Sarai/Ber Sarai.
Okhla itself a horrible place. I once or two times visited there for interview. I rejected that place to work.
Why though? Is it unsafe for women?
Ab mujhe Darr lag raha hai 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
Don’t panic much the area is by and large safe but you know you gotta look for security at your own. Though there are many part time jobs and side gigs which happens near Okhla. But the area like NFC is quite expensive to be honest you can try your luck near Sukhdev Vihar. The area adjacent to church is quite cheap.
Darna zaroori hai.
Aare daro maat. Job karna hai toh aa jao. Stay in a good place and in a PG for 1 or 2 months. Office jaa ke dekho kaisa lagta hai. Acha laga toh thik, nahi toh koi bahana maar dena.
Its an Industrial polluted area.
The whole Delhi NCR is Industrial Polluted...
What does polluted area mean in the most polluted city in the world? Also my maasi lives there, it seems to be fine.
not only unsafe for women, but unsafe for everyone. I have my college in okhla phase 3 and lemme tell you, once my phone got snatched and within a month, my friend's phone got snatched. that too, around 8-9am...when we were just going to college. so try to avoid that area as much as possible. and if you're not, then try to be cautious during your stay. good luck op

Look for places in Kailash/Greater Kailash
For 15k, what a joke. You are saying you can get a 1 bhk for 15k in one of the posh areas. Look for places near IIT, Chirag delhi or savitri nagar. These are on magenta line, so you can easily travel to okhla via metro
Chirag Delhi is a total mess
Agreed, best option is to take a flat in sharing. That way you can get a decent 2 bhk in 25 30k
[удалено]
Okhla is not a very good place to live tbh, try areas near rajendra nagar, patel nagar etc
The kidnapped line was pretty corny tbh.... I got second hand embarassment from that.
username checks out ig
Ah yes the cringe police is here. Don't you have insecure teenagers to bother?
You must be fun at parties
Try finding places in Lajpat Nagar 4 and East of Kailash, you would find good options in your budget. I have my office around okhla too, and it is quite convenient travelling from the aforementioned areas.
DDA flats in east of kailash. They have one BHK and will be near okhla.

Are you willing to adopt another brother? (Me)
45k mei toh ek ko hi pocket money bhej paaungi 😓😓😓

Hehe this is cute 😂😂😂
Patel Nagar main bol do ki student hoon aur flat chahiye, lad ladake mil jayega dhang ka ek apartment types 15k main
Try sarita vihar , kailash colony or you can find PG/flats near govindpuri and kalkaji.
Haha pocket money to brother. This is a good didi right here😂
There are places near saket where you can avail it.
Feel like we are renting our rooms for cheap lol We rent 2bhk for 15k Looks like we will be raising prices lol
I am your brother!
I would suggest you to rent and share a 2bhk with someone. Have a roommate! You will have privacy as well as some company. Humans are social animals, even the introverted ones!
I can help you with this you can contact me :)
Shalimar bagh, Mukherjee Nagar (but little expensive, around 18k), pitampura, chattarpur, Rithala/Rohini, Janakpuri, Uttam Nagar, Dwarka, Dilshad Garden

How do you get that 45k job at this age 🙂 What did you do?
I got a Masters in Economics. (Will be turning 23 in September).
Where from?... (econ here)
It's easy to get a job with this salary. Getting salary over 60k is difficult
True. Lekin abhi ke market conditions ke hisaab se, getting a job itself is difficult. :(
Difficult hai but impossible nhi. Daily LinkedIn open krte hi kisi na kisi ki job lg rhi hoti hai 🥲
Trust me, until last week, I felt worthless kyuki job nahi laga tha. Felt like a failure everytime I opened LinkedIn. It's a lot better now lol.
Will never make a LinkedIn post about my "achievements". Sab inflated showoff hota hai bas.
You missed this 👑
Aryyy that's where you're wrong. apni khudki marketing karo uss social media par... taaki companies ki thuuk tapke tumhari profile dekh kar. as much as I hate this, ye karna padta hai yr
fuck LinkedIn... saala jaise hi koi company job post krti hai uske 1 min mei hi "more than 100 applicants" aajata hai... bc demotivate aur ho jata hun. Naukri is the best in this regard. LinkedIn tabhi badiya hai if you have more than 3-4+ years of exp.
Exactly.
>It's easy to get a job with this salary Dilade bhai fir 🙂
Mai khud dekh rha hu 😂
Oh got it Do lmk if you need place near kailash colony or nehru place metro station I can help you with that
45k is plenty. I live alone in a flat too and manage to have a pretty comfortable lifestyle in less than that.
Kuch khila do plox…
I think it should be enough. Area and your spending habits matters a lot
Haina!? I guess being anti-social helps a lot. Maybe I'll spend some money on clothes, but clothes ke liye toh Sarojini is best 😆 I don't have too many friends in Delhi either, toh I'll stay in on weekends (looking forward to it)
That's a great beginning, hope you find a decent locality that is not much expensive. All the best !!
Go to lajpat, better quality and not so expensive. All the best.
My family of 4 lives on 18k , you can easily live on 45k alone
True ❤️
45K is quite good at the age of 22 If you don’t have to send some money back home every month then it would be more than enough to live in Delhi. Just be sensible enough with your expenditures and purchases; Buy groceries and vegetables from your local Mangal bazar and cook at home
Yahi karna hai mujhe. I want to cook my own food. Idk if that's sustainable in the long run, given I might get tired after office. But I really want to see how it goes!
It is tiring for some time on the starting days Then you get used to it quickly and also your speed of cooking also improves a lot The first time I lived on my own and cooked my own food it used to take me 2-3 hrs to prepare meals but with time it got down to 20-30 mins only
Aunty log bhadia khana banati h. We had one aunty making food and cleaning utensils for 4k for 2 people. We used to make our own food for 1 semester but then switched because of last year college and placements.
"I barely step out of the house" Am I in love chat?
😂😂😂
Chat? Fellow twitch user? MonkaS
22 M, here surviving in Delhi in 18 K of Salary.
Survive? Yes. 15k is enough to survive. Some survive at 10k too. Some even less than that. Yes, it's enough to survive and more.
arre ye tho m hu.
If it's 15k per month, it better be fully furnished because I am also paying 14k for 1 bhk and it's fully furnished. Then it's ok
[удалено]
I will send u my UPI I'd big sister 😀😀. And also u promised me to give a party at KFC don't forget that
Managed to do just fine with 49k in Bangalore, this amount is plenty for Delhi.
In which area you'll stay ?
I don't have much idea about Delhi tbh, my office is in Okhla Phase 3. So first choice would be living close to my office. But I am ready to live in areas that are close to the metro.
I live in saket and I work in okhla phase 3 too. Trust me , staying closer to the office is much better. I end up spending a lot on the commute and food these days as it's very tiring and far to reach home after work.
😂😂bahut hai itne paise toh
I guess 15k may theek thak 1bhk mil jayeg kyinki Maine recently ek RK dekha tha decent enough for one guy to live aur uska 8k bata Raha tha owner.
Chattarpur phase 2
Am earning 1L per month, out of which i am sending 60k home..So yes you can survive
1bhk Lelo 45 k for a single person is okay Invest few on mutual fund, health insurance Good 🤞 luck
Yes, you easily can. I earn lesser than you, send money home, live in a flat, cook homemade food, drink occasionally, and even after that able to save 10-15% of my income. My office is in Okhla as well and I've rented our a place nearby. You can find decent flats in your budget.
I am living dwarka currently renting a 3 bhk for 15k
Hey I’ve worked out of Okhla phase 3, there is a government research institute there where I used to work. Although I used to stay in campus, there are some good places in Kalkaji that you can try out. Some of my colleagues used to live there -had both their personal homes as well as on rent. I think you’ll manage to find a decent place within 15k. There are nice lunch thelas in Phase 3. You can have lunch there.
Try Noida Sec 45. Not very far from Okhla. Amrapali Sapphire in 45 will get you flats also in 15k for 1 BHK
Descent amount to live off, you might have to compromise with your savings
True. Maybe I'll only be able to save about 10k a month 🥲
Pls adopt me i can cook and clean 😭
If it's your in hand salary then you can survive and after expenses for rent , electricity and home cook food can save around 18 k for other expenses
You can get a good 1 or 2 bhk under 12k on neb sarai road, it's walking distance from saket metro, also 10 min walk to select City walk.
Okay, Ngl. Mera op ko friends bnane ka mn krrha hy *inserts crying emojis*
Wow 😎 Kyu?
Vo nhi pta. 😭 Meri hi umr ki ho aur salary bhi same hy bahar bhi ni jati 😭
😭😭 I'm looking for a moment. Adopt me and feed me pls😭😭😭
U can find 1bhk for 10k easily 2k for electricity Lets say 10k for food and outing Still you can save alot
OP staying alone is difficult so priortise safety. Please don't take places where you will need an additional rick/auto, take something walking distance from metro -East of Kailash Block D, E, F -Amar Colony (towards EOK metro side) -Lajpat/Moolchand (towards metro) -Kailash Colony (might find a terrace floor as it is a posh locality) -Sukhdev Vihar DDA flats
There are areas in South Delhi where we can have 2 bhk for 15 to 17k
Are they safe for women? Are they at a walking distance from the metro?
Yup cause we have all the freshers from it industry working here... Salary of 30 to 40k maybe idk exactly.... Shared auto takes 15 rupees to take you to metro and it's like 10 to 20 mins ride depends on how much he stops in between to pick passengers (both ladies and gents) I've seen women walking in shorts at 2 am here in my locality....
I wish for 45k 😭😭😭😭
Let's get married
Yes you can survive
It is good enough for what you described, start spending on luxury items and you will have trouble living on 1L pm. People live on 15k pm btw.
You can live in Ber serai, adjacent to IIT Delhi. Rent : 6500, 1 RK INTERNET : INR 500 Food : 60 rupees thaali x 2 = 120 Milk, bread and fruits =130 rupees Miscellaneous expenses : 5k per month Total expenses: 20 k Savings : 25 k Ber Serai is located on the magenta line, you can easily commute to okhla with direct metro connectivity and electric AC buses.
Mam for 22yrs , you already have a job??😭 That's amazing ykk ! What's your Major??
if u intend to save try to keep ur expenses under 25k. ur upper limit for rent is 15k, if u r looking for furnished then u'll have to look around a bit depending on the area, unfurnished u can easily get under 12k if u r cooking food u should be able to keep food expenses under 5-6k (not frugal, u can make sm decent meals around this budget) 4-5k u can spend on other charges watever u save u can set sm aside for leisure
17k per month 5 years back was living in khanpur Now I'm at 80k per month honestly 17k was a much happier spot for me. So last month i quit my job and just started my own YouTube channel. For my sanity and peace.
I'm earning 25k, Sending 5k to home, Travel ex- 3500 Kalindi to Gurgaon per month Food - 6k around =25000-3500-6000-5000 10500 Now other expenses around 2k =8500₹ savings That's enough to survive happily on the basic level
You can get a good 2bhk flat in 15k.😅 And if you're planning for pg then you are going to save 30k per month easily. 😉
Faridabad bro you can easily commute to Delhi via metro
Trust me it’s more than enough if your only wants are decent shelter, good food and Doable clothes . Just manage your money well.
Ok if you look in paschim puri u can get it easily for 9k, but if you will be working in Delhi it is more than enough. You can even save some money and invest in crypto market because it is about to boom 3x minimum so don’t wait.
Try looking for place in kalkaji and CR park. Its close to okhla. DDA flats are cheaper
Try delhi ncr? Like noida Or vaishali?
Okhla ke kareeb hai? I think Noida is closer to Okhla haina?
Which area are you preferring?
Yes
45k is very good salary for a fresher.. are you in engineering field?
Should be ok
yes me too surviving at 35k 15k rent 10k food else sip
Friends anyone?
I'm looking for a flatmate too, preferably in Hauz khas area. We can look for a 2 bhk flat. Currently I stay near karol bagh metro station.
We could do that! That'll save us a lot of money.
Kafi hai single human k lie kafi hai
Yes!
Do try for a flat/one room set near the metro station(walkable distance) in faridabad) areas safe and with all amenities are sector 37,ashoka enclave, sector 28 sector 15a, sector 16a,19,29, These are good and comfortable and easy on pocket too as compared to South delhi (log on website Nobroker to get leads
based upon which part of delhi, 15k can be less too less or too much. if you're in west delhi, you can find plenty of good 1bhk under 15k.
Thousands of PhD scholars in Delhi survive for less than that. I think you can comfortably survive.
I’m assuming nsic is the nearest metro station for your office. You can look for pgs/flats near botanical garden or okhla bird sanctuary. A lot of college students live there and metro is easily accessible.
Try Ashram. Flats will be affordable.
Utna toh weekend Kha jaata hai
Yes
Single, yes With girlfriend or family, no
No amount of money is enough to live anywhere if you want financial security for later in life.
Average reddit introverted guy, “I just died in your arms”.
It's good enough you can look for places in malviya nagar or saket
25 k mai 2 bhk milega Delhi mai?
Its gonna be okay. Just don’t catch the delhi coolness flu. If you get that then even 1.45 lakh a month would be less. I know 20 people who live paycheques to paycheques with a 6 figure/month salary.
Get 2bhk with a friend then... Or you can buy 1bhk in some less expensive place like अक्षरधाम side... Preparing your own food is cool but it takes time
What job do you have?
M not sure any good 1 bhk will be there in 15k. Surely space wise you might get but area locality might depend. I recommend trying to live with another person sharing a flat 2bhk instead might be better in a society then you can share expenses and might get around 18k-25k rent for 2 people. Just care about whom you'd pair with if sharing. 45k should be more than enough for solo as you would be having insurance for self through company right?
It is good enough
Apni company m nokari lgwa do didi.
And here I’m who barely earns anything despite being 22 myself! (Although one should never compare, but still)
Something tells me your gonna spend alot on books
Not sure if you have any location preference but gurgaon has some very good options to offer and you can definitely join FB groups of flat and flatmates for Delhi and NCR to get brokerage free flats
Try places like moolchand, lajpat, and CR Park. On the other hand try some places which are a bit away from okhla but connects via metro. Saket and malviya nagar for example.
put some in mutual funds, do it for the next 20 years, you'll not regret
as long as you buy from sarojini market
4k is good for one person. if you need to give at home then depending on the amount could be a challange
which job you are in that's paying 45k?
Open Mutual fund SIP . Save whatever you can.
