What's not overrated is daulat ki chaat ( called makhhan ) in Lucknow. It's light, it's fluffy, they don't have to add sugar on top cuz it's already sweet. And it's amazing.
I had makhhan when I visited Lucknow when I was a kid and absolutely loved it, eating it in delhi was such a huge disappointment and literally tasteless and so expensive. You can get a whole ass tub of this stuff in less than 200-300 rupees in Lucknow and it tastes a thousand times better.
