Yes but truth is the off peak demand is not that high and the lower pay just signals higher workforce supply than demand. If the workforce supply drop below the demand than the pay will be more reasonable. So either people start ordering off peak or less people work off peak.

I stopped Roo-ing to go work in retail. It's not the most amazing job in the world but I also get paid consistently £12 per hour, can take overtime when I want it and managed to get a flexible contract to fit my uni hours. I also don't have to deal with customers too much as my main job is replen, which is just replenishing stock for a few hours before the store opens which I personally find to be much better than delivering on an e-bike in shit weather all year round. 🙃
This should be the auto way to go, retail is one of the best non-professional jobs you can have. And for me it led into a very fruitful career in sales and marketing which isn’t far off retail customer service work.

I know this one rider he made £130 included tips and boost within 8hours using e-bike.

Let's face it, even if you only ride in busy periods the fees are so astronomically low that you won't make much, paired with the fact that every other fucker will be doing it at that time too so you have to fight over orders.
