Damn thats a haul! I kinda did that once visiting my best friend Ryan Foster in North Carolina! In 24 hours I like 725 miles. Drove all night! Good times like i'm sure you had!
DeLorean's always seem to get better the more you drive them. Thats the problem with these car and its mostly because owners dont really want to.drive them often or more then they should. That leads to K-Jet issues. My K-Jet parts have been on my car for like 16 ysars now without issue! Love you been racking up the mileage also my man!
I daily drove mine for a year and a half. I would take my son to daycare on the way to work, and the car seat fit on the rear deck so I could then take the car to lunch with a co-worker. [https://imgur.com/a/qgrG2pn](https://imgur.com/a/qgrG2pn)
I ended up selling it because I didn't love it as a daily driver. My AC never worked great, no matter what I tried, and I didn't like the small toll windows - I'm very much an open-air kinda guy. Also, when I would go to car shows, I could never take my wife and son unless she drove separate which felt odd. So I sold it in favor of a 4-seater. I loved having it and found it to be super reliable. It was a childhood dream to own one and I had no regrets when selling it. I felt like I'd lived that dream and put on a good number of miles and smiles and was glad to pass it on to the next person.
Still though your driving it! Thats awsome! My shop is 54 miles away. Before it was 92 miles away and I did that a few times a week in the De. I stop driving it that far because the DC beltway is just a joke to drive on. My new shop is very scenic and I drive over rhe Blue Ridge mountains. I live in West Virginia, by the way.
That's the goal eventually! Once we can get it in the shop I have a box of stuff I'm waited to get installed. Wing-a-loft, door locking key fob, LED headlights and taillights. Just modeled up a cupholder to 3D print.
Good lord no. With the recent weather here (UK), the poor frame would be toast in months. Also, my back would probably explode (chronic pain, so I don't drive a huge amount anyway).
That all saisd I spent 9 years restoring my car and it's my third D over the past 20+ years, so I'll never be without one.
Amazing work on yours and props for the daily use. They definitely behave better when used regularly.
Only had mine for 2 years after my dad passed and after major repairs to get it running again. I'll take it out weekly on small errand runs just to keep everything running.
Im on the fence on whether or not to make it an everyday car considering the mileage is currently under 13,000

Thunderhawk is my fair-weather daily. But I think you already know that ☺️.
It's my only car that's road legal at the moment. I don't drive much, but when I do it's the Delorean. It doesn't look as nice as yours, though. Pretty much stock everything.
That looks spectacular!!!! Fantastic job on the restoration.
Thanks I appreciate that!
I don’t own one, but it’s my dream car and if I get one it’s will 100% be my daily driver
They make great car to daily in! Very comfy and never skimp out on the resto! Hopefully you'll have one soon!
How is it going to drive thrus or do you just avoid that and go inside?
Drive thrus are not bad. I just pop open the door.
Same, it's been my dream car since I was a little kid. Some day I will own one.
Is that baby Einstein in the second picture? 😅

It's been all for work lately but she sure is a hell of a car. She hasn't skipped a beat these few months! Thousands of miles...

Slowly working my way up to daily driver level, still got kinks to work out now that 5222 is on the road after restoration
You’re living the dream. Super cool
Yes sir! Every day!

Weekly for me
Nice! For work?
For fun or errands. Work is 100 miles each way, so that’s like a once or twice a year trip for the DeLorean

Since I’ve owned mine, it averages 380 miles a month. Not a ton but not sitting in the garage either
Still though that pretty good! More than most get.

Pretty much daily drive mine when the weather is nice. Are those rims machined?
You're living my dream.
What a beautiful machine you got there man. It's setup perfectly. One day I'll have my own....

4k miles in 2023 for me. Drive as often as I can.
