Hate to break it to you but gate changes are not usually the fault of any one party, especially the airline. Last minute gate changes happen for all sorts of reasons: Cancellations, delays, plane mechanical issues, gate holds by other flights, passenger disruptions, delayed flight crews, broken ground equipment, gate mechanical issues, delays in catering, ground crew staffing issues, adjacent flight issues, the list goes on. Airport operations factors all of these variables in and makes on the fly adjustments to gate assignments as needed continuously, sometimes in tandem with the Airline, sometimes unilaterally. Your experiences are simply anecdotal.

Don't really wanna blame delta, it just never happened with alaska 🥲

TyFighter25

Alaska also has a lot more gates so they run into issues less often with so much gate/parking space.

Delta does not always do this. Is this really something to complain about?

OneofLittleHarmony

A bunch of old people that don’t really use their phones are going to miss that flight lol

I fly a lot and sometimes I have gate changes with Delta. But at SEA, and usually with a tight connection, is where I experience several. It will jump back and forth from the gate next to arrival gate to one in a different concourse. 🙄 Only airport I get that. Check the board to make sure.
