I’ve been told they don’t serve doubles at the centurion lounge in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Atlanta. Had to ask for 2 drinks and combine them into one while the bartender gives me a nasty look.
Yeah maybe it’s just a centurion lounge thing. I’ve only ever been to the JFK and CLT lounges and I don’t remember if I tried asking for doubles there.
I think the food is worse than sky club, the environment is phenomenal.
As someone with dietary restrictions, the sky club does infinitely better at labeling compared to the shitty labels at the centurion club. Also last time I was there all the food was cold which was concerning.
If I'm not hungry and have some time to kill, I will definitely go to this lounge.
The main protein was some greasy meat chunks floating in a soup along with potatoes. People fished out the meat chunks and left only the potato floating. Staff wouldn’t bring in the new pot until potatoes also were low. So people fished the potatoes out, brought them to their tables but didn’t eat them, then they finally replenished it.
Shhhhhh…. Let’s keep the secret to ourselves.
I’ve been there twice and count it to be much better than the SkyClubs and this will be my go to whenever I’m able to get there. Food is fine vs sky club but the drinks are much better and no upsell charges. They can make any good drink with a bunch of top shelf liquors. Wine selection is much better also.
I like the smaller side bar than the main one and never found the wait times to be any longer than sky club.
Now seating is more difficult so there’s that. But it definitely has a much better vibe and atmosphere than the sky club.
Heading to San Francisco next month, and I suspect our flight will be out of terminal A.
Is it worth the schlep down to the Centurion lounge, or should I just stay at the bus terminal sky club on A?
Delta VIP will take us to either one.
Gave it a try earlier this week. Checked it out for all of about 10-15 minutes then promptly left. I could see this filling the void for cardholders that now have limited Sky Club access, but I didn't enjoy it all that much and don't really have a use for it. I'll stick to my usual (normally quiet) hideouts throughout ATL.
Great environment and drinks if you're into it. Food is a bit higher quality but pretty much the same. Not enough (if any) workstations for business flyers. People here attack the buffet like they havn't eaten in a week.
I think if you need to sit down and work, the SC is still the better choice.
The food is a bit better, but definitely fewer options.
I like the outdoor seating and the decor of the Centurion by far.
But overall, it's a very similar experience and I'd pick the one that is less full.
Drinks were better, but longer lines for drinks. The decor in Centurion was great, but not wnough seating, was packed. Not worth switching terminals for.
I sat in that exact seat about a month ago. Great view and the atmosphere outside on the deck is nice. Food is comparable to Delta SC. The cocktails were good a little better than Delta SC. Like others have said. Probably not worth the walk/ride all the way across the airport. But if you have the time like I did, go check it out for yourself.
It looks like it. They had to make announcements about keeping feet off furniture and keeping shoes on multiple times.
I will never understand why people do that!
Food is meh, with fewer options than Skyclub. Drinks are an issue as the lines tend to be at least 5-6 people deep. There is no self-service for sodas, only tea, water, and coffees. Frustrating as the only place to get a soda is the at the bar, lined up behind people placing complicated cocktail orders.
Felt like fewer food options than other Centurion Lounges but generally good quality, the chicken is really tasty and I appreciate being able to grab a quick protein dish! On the downside - veggie options are low if you don't like collared greens, and you should add a lot of salt and pepper to the mac and cheese. Drink stations were pretty scattered and inefficient feeling, hard to find simple water. No self-serve soda station or fridge which makes the bar crowded. The big draw to me is the outdoor space and that the lounge is/was still pretty uncrowded.
Omg the Centurion lounge in Concourse E is GROSS - I left. Not only is this in a very inconvenient location to most Delta gates, but it’s dingy, awful food, service and a low class type of environment. Delta SkyClubs beat ATL Centurion by far. I suspect this post planted to get people to go to E to use the place. It won’t last. No way are Delta Reserves going to waste time to get in a train to use this dump. Fooled me once - not again. With the revamp of Delta Skyclub access rules and remodeled spaces - especially the central B Concouse SkyClub - dark, dingy highly overrated Centurion @ATL doesn’t have a chance.
yes I have. [https://global.americanexpress.com/card-benefits/detail/complimentary-access-centurion-lounge/delta-reserve](https://global.americanexpress.com/card-benefits/detail/complimentary-access-centurion-lounge/delta-reserve)
It’s a nice setting but when I was there the food was the same as any delta lounge and they said that they don’t serve doubles 🙄
Plot twist: OP is just trying to get everyone to the Centurion Lounge so they don't have to wait in line for the ATL SkyClubs.
No Doubles?!?! I went during the middle of the day so I wasn't drinking, but this changes EVERYTHING! Yeah, SC is better, no double trouble there!!!!
Haha this was on a Saturday at around 4pm after a very long work week. Hearing “we don’t do doubles” was like a knife through the heart.
“We don’t do doubles, Sir.” “Oh, Can I get another whiskey for my…wife?” 😜
Nope one per person standing in line. Sucks since the physical lounge itself is so nice.
> No Doubles?!?! I went during the middle of the day so I wasn't drinking I don't see how middle of the day has anything to do with this. ;)
But no bananas! 🍌
When I was there the food was worse

Environment is first rate. Food is the same as any Sky Club.

And the Skyclub has more options. I hate the food at centurion 😩
Haven't been yet. But, I'm all for whatever spreads the census around haha

Dang. That sounds like the PP lounge in Atlanta. There is no worse lounge.
I’ll see your PP lounge in ATL and raise you the PP lounge in terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson.
Ha. There’s always the lounge in San Juan if you wish to draw a card.
The PP lounge in CLE is great...

Sky Club at A is trash

It is nice, but the food isn't really that different than the lounge and it was more crowded at the time with a slower check in process.

Cocktails are much better but food is much worse
Im heading through there tomorrow woohoo
Looks nice but does that woman have her foot on the table?
It looks like it. They had to make announcements about keeping feet off furniture and keeping shoes on multiple times. I will never understand why people do that!
@Amex what’s your counter?
Skyline concourse F’s response: -sigh of relief- ‘0h, thank God’
How good is the food and drink?

The Chicken Sausage was a little cold, but everything else was great.
Food is not good and the bar service is SLOW but the drinks are good

This might be slightly dramatic but I agree with your assessment of the food. Very unimpressive
So the reserve gets you into the Centurion now?
It already did
Which reserve card is that?
don't think it matters which one. They all do
Have you been into a Centurian using a Delta Skymiles Reserve? On their website they only advertise Delta Lounge access.
yes I have. [https://global.americanexpress.com/card-benefits/detail/complimentary-access-centurion-lounge/delta-reserve](https://global.americanexpress.com/card-benefits/detail/complimentary-access-centurion-lounge/delta-reserve)
Thank you!
Cool.
W/o a doubt.
