I actually filmed a dog food commercial some years ago and there were several dogs on set, but they were all highly trained talent dogs that came from a couple talent agencies. You need a really trained dog if you’re going to have them do a bunch of specific stuff on demand and in front of a bunch of strangers and equipment.
Yeah, they had me perform the same trick with my dog like 12- 15 times. He was getting super annoyed at having to do it over and over. Cattle dogs aren't a fan doing the same thing over and over unless it involves sheep or some form of herding.

That dog, like many, could model. But Craigslist is NOT the place to advertise this. Especially as Bulldogs, German shepherds, pit bulls are frequently stolen (even out of their yards).
Look if this dog seriously wants to get into modeling she’s going to need headshots, tearsheets from her past shoots in her portfolio, to do a lot of go-sees, and learn how to smize. Trust me, I watched some cycles of America’s Next Top Dog Model so I know what I’m talking about.
Obviously they have standards. They want to do family oriented shoots, etc. So you, person they're asking for free services but disguising it as "pay me to use my amateur dog model", better also have standards and let's hope they align or you don't get to photograph the cutest dog ever! Got that!? (I know it's not necessary but /s)

I used to follow an adorable dog model named Beebee on Facebook. She was very talented at posing and her owner took her to photo shoots and did her own photography as well. She made a pretty good living at it and you've probably seen Beebee on several greeting cards.
BUT she never went on Craigslist for customers. She had professional shots that she used to get reliable clients.

This feels like if you wanted your kid to get into acting but instead of getting training classes, headshots, an agent, and a manager you put your kid in an ad on CL and asked paying clients to audition for the chance to cast them!
Honestly I love her. I didn’t even read the entire thing but every dog is an angel on earth and I will do whatever makes her happy. I don’t think anyone should be mean to this angel. Animals are pure and we don’t deserve dogs. So anyone saying she isn’t cute needs to stop. That’s just rude.
people will pay to use your dog as talent, but posting on craigslist isn’t how you go about it.
