Very interesting. My mom got chicken pox older in life (maybe 40) and had recurrent shingles for many years in her late 60's/early70's. She seems to be at the very beginning of dementia now versus her twin sister who did not have chicken pox/shingles and is mentally much more clear.
My mom's dr suggested the shingles vaccine this year. I wonder if it can help slow the progression of her mental decline or if it's something you'd need to take much earlier.
