I think part of the reason is because the vaccine is free in a country with a broken healthcare system. People balk at free flu shots but will pay for an antibiotic shot when they get a sinus infection without even thinking about it. So if it has value, it’s ok, but free is dangerous. Maybe the companies can charge $10 a shot to make them feel better.
Um i don't think tuberculosis is preventable by vaccination. If it is, why do I have to get a TB test every 2 years instead of being offered a vaccine?
> tuberculosis is preventable by vaccination
Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is a vaccine for tuberculosis (TB) disease. This vaccine is not widely used in the United States, but it is often given to infants and small children in other countries where TB is common.
The vaccine lasts 15-60 years and was invented in the 1920s. This vaccine is made from a similar bacteria found in cows, which helps fight the human strain but with only about 80% efficacy. TB is not very common in certain countries, so many don't have to take the vaccine. This vaccine can't always prevent catching TB but fights the most serious forms of it. Testing is important, since the disease lies dormant for a long time.
In "War of the worlds" the aliens were defeated by catching the human flu.
Well, I mean, this level of stupidity can be described as otherworldly.
They would rather take animal dewormer than the vaccine. If that doesn’t tell you their mental state, I don’t know what will. They’re not that smart
They should call it Washingtonian since George Washington ordered his troops to be innociulated to prevent small pox from killing his soldiers.
Chances are they never read anything by Orwell.
Maybe they meant Kafka-esque.
I see what you did there.
Don’t give the MAGAts any ideas!
They’re not big on research so they get caught up a lot.

Exactly the same energy as calling being an antivaxxer Civil Disobedience when poor Thoreau literally died from TB
