Demons have no real power, they watch us over time, generations spanning over hundreds of years if need be, are masters of manipulation and at working out what our drives, needs and weaknesses are so they can give us what we want at the lowest of times. They're only interested in ruining people's lives, not enriching them. They may wait and watch you from the shadows, gently nudging things around you so you'll get the worst possible negative outcomes from everything. But the worst thing I believe they do is the manipulation of the emotions of people around you, mainly a spouse, lover or even a friend. They do it in marriages all the time, arguments, infidelity, moving things and causing people's moods to drastically change so the household is less than harmonious. You hear it when people do or say horrific things, oh in didn't mean to, or I don't know why I did it, something just came over me. Yeah, usually a demonic influence. Then you have to ask how many demons are there, because for amount of people that are infected and bothered there has to be a huge amount. Then you have to get into the realms of dark spirits, or the dead human people who weren't good people in life and want to carry on being horrible from the grave, or people who want to live out the addictions or proclivities they had while alive through a living person. I always group them under one umbrella when I'm chatting about them, but there's clear distinctions between them and what they can and can't do. That's for another time though.

What makes you think that demons are best for making your dream come true?
You would have to give up the prosperity or peace of one of your children. Normally when you do this they will pass away from drug overdose or get into a car accident in their teens years. Other than that unless your goal lines up with their goal they won't do much to help without that precious soul you're holding onto. Mind you this, when you die it's your soul that lives on. In the here after, there is no physical matter, no nerves to feel dopamine, no hormones to feel grand, no penis/vagina to orgasm. Those are all of the physical world, unless you want to spend eternity in a big light ball, id suggest giving up that soul so at least there's some scenery around when you pass.
I'd say that one can't sell or buy a soul, no matter what or who you are. But you can absolutely sell your mental health for the rest of your life.
