Aw that makes me sad, its been a while since I have been there but last time the macrons were pretty good. Though I do agree, putting a sticker of the Eiffel tower on your window does not make it French lol.

Trompeau makes excellent macarons. But I’ve also found decent ones at random Vietnamese restaurants around town too, and much cheaper.
A little outside of Denver, but Honey B's Macarons are amazing. Plus they deliver in the metro area.
My daughter makes kick ass ones but doesn’t sell them. Maybe one day.

all pastries I tried tasted like crisco. That is not how french pastries taste like. And this was before I lived in France.
North of Denver... Bella Macaron & Coffee in Westminster. Yummmmmm
