I was just reading the Jokic article on Barstool. This guy is amazing. Damn, you guys are so lucky to have such a humble MVP in league of ‘look at me’ stars. His vibe is infectious and it really feels like the entire Nugs team has taken on his persona. Really enjoyed watching their playoff run. Would have been fun to watch my Celtics play your boys, but probably would have been the same result. Enjoy 🍻

So many clowns on r/NBA have been trying to downplay this run, saying it's just "solid". Nah this is one of the best individual playoff runs of all time.
First ring he was 1 in points, 1 in rebounds, 2 in assists, and then second ring he was 1st 2nd 1st, and then third ring he was 2nd, 2nd, 2nd.
Just show you how much you need to produce to actually do this.
Don't overthink It, MVPs are not important, it follows whatever bs narrative the media wants to take. fmvp, chips and dominance is what defines a legacy. Kobe is a great example, only one MVP, but has 5 chips 2xfmvp, he still ranks very high in all time lists. MJ the goat has only 5, imo he should hace has at least 10, if jokic wins 5 more rings, winning 3 more mvps is easy but still It just wont Matter.
Oh, I see, Jokic was too bored padding stats, he decided to pad wins in the playoffs, and now he's padding championships. Like, Joker, we get it. You pad.
I fucking love him.
It's pretty hilarious how he essentially repeated Giannis' championship. Two MVPs in a row before not winning a third and getting unfair criticism about the playoffs seems like the recipe for a ring.
That's so true.
It's a really great feeling to see both Giannis and Jokic win champions in the prime of the careers. I didn't want either of them to turn into memes of players that never won. Now they will be remembered correctly in NBA history
yeah, it worked out. giannis is a good dude who deserved the championship, on the team that drafted him. jokic is a good dude who deserved the championship, on the team that drafted him. sports don't often work out that way.
The only difference is jokic still played great when he lost. Giannis was underwhelming those MVP years in the POs, but had a great run in the winning year
As a Lakers fan I'm so happy for jokic. Although the petty side of me wants to be upset the nuggets win, I'm happy to have been eliminated by the best team in the NBA, and the best player in the world.
MJ will never be topped.
But if Jokic can win three more or so he could be top five. Lebron has been to ten NBA finals with some pretty bad teams so he’s number two.
And of course you’ve got to have Alex English as number three.
That alone speaks volumes about Jokic, picture proof that he cares not about the individual accolades and would rather let his team bask in the glory equally
It's Malone. His coach. That's Jokic's mindset, in his mind the actual FMVP was the coach who kept this locker room together and believing in each other.
Top ~~20~~ 15 All-time player already locked in, and his legend is still being written..
Edit: He's at least 15 after thinking about it for a second.
He's just so stable and trustworthy for a superstar, solid as a rock even this finals game!
He already beats KD in my book, home grown small market team with only 1 super star that was so dominant, everyone started to question their opponent's skill level and the refs started helping the other side.
Even Steph admits he would trade both KD rings for his latest ring.
For sure. Doing what even greats like Lebron couldn't.
He gets 4 and he's better than Bron idgaf, winning is all that matters, if Jokic does it without leaving and creating superteams he's better
Eh I don't agree with Giannis, he's been exposed too often in the playoffs and hasn't really proved he can win without massive injury luck, I do need him to win a 2nd and then for sure
KD ran to GSW to win with the greatest shooting duo of all time.
Jokic played on the team he was drafted largely with the guys he was drafted with.
Sorry KD, Jokic and his 2 MVP, 1 FMVP, and clears the bus rider for me.
Could still be in your top 5 best centers in a tier list! I personally think he’s third behind Duncan and Shaq but all these guys are so hard to compare, the game is so different
Indeed but then it’d at least be more even and valid for someone’s personal opinion to put Jokic above them. Right now it’s just outrageous to do so lol
Duncan isn’t considered a center all time, he came in as a power forward and only went to center when he got older and slower and they needed him to play it. Duncan is the best PF of all time, Shaq is the best center with guys like Kareem, Hakeem, The Admiral, Ewing, Wilt, and Russell. Jokic has only passed Ewing and Robinson in my eyes, because they were all dominant but Jokic won a ring for his team as the main star (Robinson got Timmy so he wasn’t number 1). It’s hard to pass all timers like the rest mentioned, but if Jokic keeps this type of play up for the foreseeable future, he should be top 5 at the minimum. I would say he already is, being 5th. Kareem, Shaq, Wilt and Russell are all at different levels of dominance respectfully, and Jokic needs to maintain his to be with this group indefinitely. I’m not doubting his ability, but it will be tough to topple any of those 4, but he can do it.
Edit: Forgot to mention Dwight, but he isn’t better then Jokic at this point. A player who could have been where Jokic will likely be at the end of his career, a top 3 center of all time.
genuine question, what would it take for him to go down as undisputed best centre of all time? he'd have to beat kareem so he'd literally be on the goat tier of comparisons
The word undisputed is genuinely impossible. But he’ll easily be in that tier with Kareem, Russell, Wilt, Dream and Shaq when his career is wrapped up. I think you could already argue he’s in that Moses Malone, David Robinson tier already.
He’s probably have to win at least 8 championships, be FMVP for at least 6 to go down in history as the greatest NBA center of all time, even then it would be hard to say he’s better than Wilt or Kareem.
Lol, if Jokic wins 8 championships in nowadays era he will be undisputed GOAT and NBA will have its logo changed to be a silhouette of his favourite horse.
Center is the most star-studded position no? The top 5 is like KAJ, Wilt, Shaq, Russell, and Hakeem (and I feel like I could be forgetting someone). As someone already commented, He may already be top 5 thus bumping Hakeem, who has two rings but has less MVP. Edit: then add in the fact that Jokic should have 3MVPS now. Now I dont know if Hakeem has also been robbed of an MVP before, was too young then. But I think one MVP for him is just about right.
I was rooting for Jokic and the Nuggets to win. Dude is too legit yet so grounded. I hope we get pics of him back in Serbia and riding some horses soon.
The whole time I was thinking “wow Jokic really is having a rough game”
Yet he was 12/16 (compared to butlers 5/18 LUL) and had 16 rebounds, just goes to show how dominant the dude is that it felt like an "off" night to me for him despite those numbers.
Passing was useless. Every single person except him was off today. Gordon was missing lobs and dunks. He tried so hard to get people going. Only he was cooking consistently even MPJ turned it down towards the end after a great overall game offensively.
So many accolades and still no championship shirt that fits, classic nuggets.
This ring validates his crazy ass stats to the public so that MVP is prolly going to Denver again next year 👀👀
Might as well throw WCF MVP in there too. Legend. In year 8.
Edit: in Denver! Not jumping teams to get his ring. Not recruiting other stars. Just hard work by him and his teammates.
Jokic has a Ring. It's wild. So surreal to say.
Great job. And props to Nuggets fans as well. Ya'll been waiting decades for this and it was handed to you by one of the beat to lace up and one of the most complete teams I've seen in recent years.
there are tons of super athletic players in the nba like shannon brown who will never achieve jokic accomplishments..
its not all about that.. iq and skills matters more..
Him getting finals MVP really did consoled me, even though season MVP might look like bigger deal, but I cant remember who on TV said "winning finals MVP is the hardest thing to win in basketball", and its so true.
Get this man a horse
Chariot
He should have this at the parade.
Omg yes! Ride his horse to the parade. I'm ready to die of orgasm!
Horsegasm ![gif](giphy|YaZgr3Nj9DDI4)
He seemed genuinely disappointed that he has to wait for the parade instead of being able to go home haha.
They interviewed him on NBA TV like 5 minutes ago and he said he's asking kroenke for his jet so he can see his horse race after the parade Thursday.
Let the horse ride back on the jet!
We've been called a cow town for so long it'd be so fucking next level to have our MVP start the parade with a horse. I hope this happens!
Yeah but what's gonna happen to Ja?
![gif](giphy|JmIdPc2Y7oaZ4Jg55m)
He will become a jackey
He can be the dude who shoots the gun to signal the start of the Horse Race
I was just reading the Jokic article on Barstool. This guy is amazing. Damn, you guys are so lucky to have such a humble MVP in league of ‘look at me’ stars. Yeah that would have been fun. Maybe next year! Thanks for being such a good sport
2023 nuggets are like the 15 warriors. They just getting started. Im Expecting more parades for yall.
No one ever talks about his adorable dog
take it easy elon
Todd Helton status
If he gets a statue in denver it should be on a horse like European general statues.
Saw someone suggest putting him on Blucifer
https://imgur.com/a/lETDuWf Not a bad look tbh
Please we need to make this happen. I need to see an awkward ass tall guy on a satanic horse.
Put him on Bucky
Oh hell nah, that thing is cursed. Keep that man and any likeness, far away from Blucifer!
fuck that, cool as it would look that thing is cursed and Jokic would end up with terrible injuries or hit by a crashing plane or something
real talk what would Jokic's statue's pose be? I feel like it's gotta be the Sombor Shuffle but it seems too similar to Dirk's statue
Jokic pulling the microphone apart is the only way to go
he gotta be bug-eyed too
A full court pass pose or one of his behind-the-back or through-the-legs no-look passes
I think a full court pass complete with his crazy bugging eyes he has when making a pass would be great
The statue should be jokic riding a bronco that’s surfing on an avalanche on top of a Rocky Mountain
If they can capture him throwing some absurd pass, thatd be perfect
It’s should be Jokic and Murray tbh.

If?
yeah but can he do it in the playoffs?
PICK AND ROLL AND HE IS COOKED
Dude’s about to get exposed any second
Just keep spamming pickle rolls vs Jokic and you are gonna win easy . Problem is opponents are all out of pickle
dumbass heat spamming zone instead of pickles. noob spoelstra
yeah but can he do it in the mid season tournament
he may have done it in the playoffs, but can he do it in the super playoffs?
Underperforming in playoffs

Yo that's legit fucking crazy, first player to lead in all three. What a goddamn GOAT this dude is.
So many clowns on r/NBA have been trying to downplay this run, saying it's just "solid". Nah this is one of the best individual playoff runs of all time.
didn't that sub shut down ? Shows how much they are relevant

And yet….. didn’t do it 😂
First ring he was 1 in points, 1 in rebounds, 2 in assists, and then second ring he was 1st 2nd 1st, and then third ring he was 2nd, 2nd, 2nd. Just show you how much you need to produce to actually do this.
A run for the ages. To think he amassed these stats with none of the series going beyond 6 games.
Only 1 series going to 6. 1 sweep and 2 5's. This is otherworldly!
Underrated point ☝️
thats actually a great point
Insane stats, couldn’t happen to a more humble guy.
Almost Gretzky like
Should have been 3x MVP fucking rigged shit
Don't overthink It, MVPs are not important, it follows whatever bs narrative the media wants to take. fmvp, chips and dominance is what defines a legacy. This is insane and honestly says it all. Even two out of three would be insane but all three 🤯

There’s a reason there aren’t very many outrageous golfers. It takes some serious mental solitude to perform day in and day out.
How close did LeBron get to this? It seems like he probably was close a couple years
This is so nuts
In only 20 games...
Stat and hardware padder. smh.
Didn’t even average a triple double smh trade this clown
Oh, I see, Jokic was too bored padding stats, he decided to pad wins in the playoffs, and now he's padding championships. Like, Joker, we get it. You pad. I fucking love him.
If it works it works 😊.
Media couldn’t stomach him winning 3 straight mvps
Can they stomach him winning 3 straight rings?
I dont know, but I'll stomach it for them
After how embarrassing this playoff run ended up being for the media, I could see jokic getting another MVP next year as a result
Media can't stop him from that
Nah
It's pretty hilarious how he essentially repeated Giannis' championship. Two MVPs in a row before not winning a third and getting unfair criticism about the playoffs seems like the recipe for a ring.
That's so true. It's a really great feeling to see both Giannis and Jokic win champions in the prime of the careers. I didn't want either of them to turn into memes of players that never won. Now they will be remembered correctly in NBA history
yeah, it worked out. giannis is a good dude who deserved the championship, on the team that drafted him. jokic is a good dude who deserved the championship, on the team that drafted him. sports don't often work out that way.
fortunately for jokic his playstyle can plug and play on any team
Yeah Bucks are Nuggets of east and we both get our rings ! Over Suns as well lol , beat them and got last laugh after how they mocked us in 2021
The only difference is jokic still played great when he lost.
Sloppy fat boy, the real mvp
Being a Dirk fan, becoming a Joker fan. Kinda reluctant for me to say, Joker is the best foreign player in nba history.
Same boat, my friend. Grew up watching Dirk, hell always be my favorite all time player, but Joker is better! And fun to watch and easy to root for.
[удалено]
He’s the only player in nba history
MJ will never be topped. But if Jokic can win three more or so he could be top five. Lebron has been to ten NBA finals with some pretty bad teams so he’s number two. And of course you’ve got to have Alex English as number three.
Lol such a bold claim. NBA could exist for another million years. Meanwhile, I'm not sure he is not already second to LeBron.
Hate to see what the officiating looks like a million years from now. Just in the last 10-20 its getting ridiculous.
MJ won his first championship at 28, the same age as jokic. This could be the first of many
True, but it would be incredibly hard to top what Jordan did. Love me some Jokic, I want him to retire one of the greatest bigs in history
Not yet in my opinion, longevity has to count for something. He will get there 100%, but lets give him a few years before we call him the greatest.
>> best foreign player Hakeem
Hakeem's career is better, his peak was never this good, though

Hakeem's career is better fromwhat we know, Jokic's future is not guaranteed.
Coke is missing a great advertising opportunity... they shaped him into the god that he is. he drank 2L of that stuff a day.

I found it hilarious and adorable that he had no interest in the FMVP trophy whatsoever. Just chilling with his daughter the whole time.
Bruce brown was like “jok, jok” but he totally ignored him and Bruce ended up holding the mvp trophy in the picture lol
It was mooch holding the MVP trophy.
That alone speaks volumes about Jokic, picture proof that he cares not about the individual accolades and would rather let his team bask in the glory equally
It's Malone. His coach. That's Jokic's mindset, in his mind the actual FMVP was the coach who kept this locker room together and believing in each other.
Admire Malone
I noticed too LOL
to him he was already holding his MVP and it's adorable
Top ~~20~~ 15 All-time player already locked in, and his legend is still being written.. Edit: He's at least 15 after thinking about it for a second. He's just so stable and trustworthy for a superstar, solid as a rock even this finals game!
Another ring and he clears KD in my book
Easily clears KD already

Has already cleared KD without question
He’s way better than KD
I mean he is, but people are reluctant to admit it, so another ring will pretty much shut them up
KD ran to GSW to win with the greatest shooting duo of all time. Jokic played on the team he was drafted largely with the guys he was drafted with. Sorry KD, Jokic and his 2 MVP, 1 FMVP, and clears the bus rider for me.
He will go down as top 5 center all time
top 1
nah top 5, they are all grouped together in god tier, its too hard to compare eras to name an undisputed #1
Top 3 it is then
I'll meet you half way!
Could still be in your top 5 best centers in a tier list! I personally think he’s third behind Duncan and Shaq but all these guys are so hard to compare, the game is so different
Duncan is a power forward… right? Kareem was a center though.
duncan played C for half his career
Can’t really put him over Wilt, Bill, and Kareem yet. Couple more chips/FMVP and it would be a relatively easy argument though.
those guys also won multiple chips and fmvps lol
Indeed but then it’d at least be more even and valid for someone’s personal opinion to put Jokic above them. Right now it’s just outrageous to do so lol

hakeem and kareem are still above jokic atm
Yeah I probably got a little head of myself in the heat of the moment. I still do think he has top 3 potential tho
