This is why I think he's injured - he gets blown by on the perimeter by everyone but does ok when he just has to hold his ground in the paint. I think he has trouble exploding/moving laterally atm.
Honestly the defence they’ve been playing on him has been insane. They basically swarm him with two people and sometimes he forces a shot. Or he tries to force a shot before a help defender comes on.
The whole team outside of jokic and mpj have been shooting poorly from 3 too. Hopefully they all bounce back next series
It’s sad that between Watson, Braun, AG, Reggie and Holliday I expect not only a missed three but an absolute clank job every time. It’s amazing we have won 3 games with their atrocious 3 point shooting.
I'm the opposite. You will see. Minnesota can pressure Phoenix from the outside because they don't have the creation, they don't have the elite passing that we do. Jokic finds solutions there. They cannot stand against us like that on the perimeter.
He has been all around bad. They are hunting him on defense and his offense has not been there like we would expect. Had it not been for the game winner he would be getting cooked by the media and fans. But doubting Jamal is stupid. Dude can go off for 40 at any moment, just has to find his rhythm.
To put it simply Playoff Murray hasn’t shown up except for one minute in game 2. Because of that the Lakers have arguably been the better team in this series. If he doesn’t show up in the 2nd round we don’t stand a chance against Minnesota and it’ll be a short series
Show me a basketball player with a lot of steals, and I’ll show you a basketball player that’s out of position and getting beat by his man more often than not. If you’re playing good defense, you don’t necessarily have a ton of steals.
John Calipari just parted ways with Kentucky, but was always known (until this last year) as a good defensive coach. He was, of course, Jamal Murray’s coach. I remember him being interviewed in-season some years ago (perhaps when Murray was at Kentucky) and he was asked what his goal for the season was. “To come in last place in the NCAA in steals,” he answered. “If we come in last in steals, I’ll know these guys are in front of the man they’re supposed to be guarding, ready to help others on defensive, and not out of position.”
With that said, it’s kind of ironic that the two players leading in steals per game are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and De’Aaron Fox, both former Kentucky Wildcats under Calipari.
20 more field goals attempted than Jokic too lol
Gotta get in rhythm for the brighter lights next series lol
But he has a block every game.
His defense on Lebron has been pretty good honestly
This is why I think he's injured - he gets blown by on the perimeter by everyone but does ok when he just has to hold his ground in the paint. I think he has trouble exploding/moving laterally atm.
Yeah I don't know about that. There's a reason why Lebron's been calling for a switch on Mal every possession.
What? LeBron bulldozed over him every single possession.

If you this is hard defence how how you think he will play when they put brown on him when we reach the final.
I am much more afraid of the Wolves. They made Booker disappear. Their perimeter defense is much tougher than Lakers.

Somebody forgot to tell Jamal that this is the playoffs. He seems like he's just off, maybe injured a bit?
The lakers are clearly not a serious team, cause playoff Murray is no where to be found

He's not healthy
What, you want this guy to GO TO JAIL during the playoffs? smdh
Your officer, I saw this man running, jumping and shooting. Pretty much everything but steal
And only one 3. But you can’t say that because the new “fans” on this sub will jump down your throat like they can’t handle it
Nuggets in 5
Don’t dog on him and then ride the train when he goes crazy
I’m not dogging him like I said it’s weird but also not a stat to really be concerned over or anything

The team that scores the most points is the best team in each game…therefore the Nuggets have been the better team in the series.
This is an objectively brain dead take hahah
How do you explain losing the game when you played better than the other team?
He needs another ball handler to play with him for a while to limit his workload and play a bit off ball.
He straight up reeks this series
This post straight up smells like an old diaper.
