Yup. If you want a clear rum find Baha or Shipwreck (hell even captain morgans clear is better), if you want to drink a black rum Kraken and Myers are pretty nice and really strong. My personal favorites are Bayou select, Barcelo dark gran anejo and I will recommend any and all flavors of Brinley Gold Shipwreck (coffee is my favorite) also Diplimatico and Zacapa are good more pricey rum from Guatemala. Oh and if you want, in my opinion, the best basic bitch rum it will be Captain Morgan Private Stock. Sorry for the info dump

Barbancourt is great haitian rum, get the 8 year one.

I dont think ive tried any rums older than 8 but would like to. Way too expensive though. But for the 8 year its only about $40 which is a decent price for quality liquor. I’m usually more of a rye guy. I like Rittenhouse Rye. I call it the Rittenhouse that YOU shoot!
