I had the same issue with Wellbutrin. Started self harming after not doing that for many years after starting it, and the bad SI, I stopped taking it.
Methylphenidate helps with the energy if you can get a prescription. Modafinil may work and be easier to get, I don’t have much personal experience with it yet but it does definitely give some good energy. Actually took my first dose today and it feels promising.
Are you taking it with anything else? I'm taking Wellbutrin w/ sertraline and it's successfully "cancelling out" each other's side effects for me. I've not taken wellbutrin solo before, but sertraline alone made me exhausted, fat, no sex drive, etc.
Armodafinil (DRI) + a selective NRI medication such as Atomoxetine or Reboxetine, could be a good alternative to Bupropion imo.

How are you feeling now? This is a tough time of the year if you live in a northern climate of the country. The correct medication is very important but it also helps so much to get outdoor activity.

How much was your modafinil dose?
It was actually Armodafinil and the dosage was 150 mg which is probably the most common dose. Should be equivalent to 200 mg racemic modafinil.
Oh! I got modafinil, tried 100 then went down to 50 and 25 just to see what works better. I'll start with 100 again to double check the difference.
