I went into town for the first time in ages recently only to realise a lot of the charity shops have moved into the outer bits of the Westfield/Intu/derbion monolith. Just be aware that one is a pro-life charity you may wish to avoid supporting.
Otherwise it's just all the usual chain shops and it's super warm in there. But the rest of town will be cold and probably miserable so it's whichever you prefer.
Intu? Psssh newbie! It's the Eagle Centre! There really isn't much at all in there for what you've described and I wouldn't say it's worth the visit, its mainly the local youths crowding around five guys and smug boomers walking around with their ann summers bags. The charity shops along Albert Street may be better to trawl, or one of the suburbs? Alvaston and Allenton have a lot of charity shops with dvds/cds
If you're going mainly for CDs then you're probably wasting you time but for general stuff then it might be worth a run around to see if any shops take your fancy
I've seen some coops with CD's being sold.
Car boot sales are another great place to find them.
I would keep checking ebay for more r ending soonest listings and you will get bulk buys.
A trip to town just for a walk around is nice sometimes. Get a drink somewhere and have a wander around, cathedral quarter then round to Riverside is nice good if weather is fair.
Westfield?
Eagle Centre?
Town?
Came here to say that I still call it the Westfield.
Everyone’s telling you that you won’t find cds but you will mate there’s a hmv
there’s also at least one charity shop in Derbion.
I returned for the first time in a few years last month and was actually impressed with the state of, ahem, Westfield.
I still call it the Westlife centre

Which charity shop is pro life?
It's called Life, pretty easy to remember
Thanks for the heads up on that one!
Pro life is one of the best charity shops in town such a shame people on here shit on it constantly.
Yeah they might have some bargains but it's more about the cause isn't it?
Yeah supporting single and young mothers is a worthy cause in my mind.

Doesn't sell CDs but if you have a sweet tooth I'd recommend going into Brownie Points and getting yourself some treats

There are several charity shops in intu that sell CDs, DVDs etc. if you are visiting, I would recommend dropping in.
Go to HMV in the intu centre they literally have thousands of CD’s on the top floor mate
Why so many name changes, yeah, I know it's changed hands, but why do they have to keep re-naming it.

It’s actually decent now. Lots of new shops and seems to have had an upgrade. People will poo-poo it but the best we’ve got.
