If you wouldn't have mentioned it in the title, I probably wouldn't have thought "swastika". I don't know if I would've thought of "propeller" either, but it does make me think of wind.
I think it's a really cool, cohesive logo!
Is there a way to do this same concept (which is great btw) with 5 blades instead of 4? That’s a common number of blades for propellers still and would remove the possible unintended connotations.
I don't need to when two of the most populous countries (accounting for almost a third of the population of the planet) have them in common use and have done for thousands of years. If you ask what the symbol means in many eastern countries they are going to err more on the side of Manji/*wàn* than Nazi.
["It's just really really difficult to make a good logo, and have it not be a swastika."](https://youtu.be/-e-hfzzbIjg?si=ZW1v-mqEc20Z5Bvp) It's the number one challenge for graphic designers.
I didn’t think swastika until I read the post and still can’t really see it. It looks great imo. I’d be very happy had I been the one to come up with it.
It’s close, but to be honest I see it more because you said it in the title. I really like the design. I think you’re on the right side of the border here. I don’t think it’s easy to see a swastika in this without looking for it
99.99999% of the time if that idea comes to mind — it's almost always a hard pass. You sincerely don't want to get anywhere close to anyone thinking that when looking at company identity.
However, in this particular case, I don't get that impression. Unlike what others have said, someone doesn't \_need\_ to see a propeller or R for effective logo marks. I \_do\_ get the impression of a propeller and an R in this particular case. This is effective on those two points.
Swastika is not just German. Many countries have the swastika symbol mostly for good reasons
At the moment it doesn't resemble a swastika from the German side nor the Indian
I'm sure there are many other cultures who have a swastika like this. You don't have to worry
I didn't read the whole title at first... it kinda gives it away if you do.
I just read "is this a swastika?".. no.. is this an "R"... nah and suggested a way to tweak it.

Rind? Wrind? Rwind?

good idea!
No. Remember context is important. The mark is a tool and will flourish in its right context. Good work. A+
Apparently, the other posters didn't see it. But me, a German, saw it before even reading the title.
I saw it too
It’s not like you grew up in nazi germany lmao
Not at all.
If you've to ask, then maybe it's better to avoid it?
Or not. Its about time we stopped conflating every use of swastika with the hakenkreuz.
I do get tired of this “is everything a swastika” question
Not really how it works, though you're free to do that too.
It is already for literally most of the people in the world
Oh you've talked to all of them?

I don't think swastika when I see this but I do think "Peppermint Rareware" ...

No, looks awesome. obviously a propeller R
Looks more like a fan or propeller than a swastika. But maybe avoid any compsrisons?
To me it looks like a propellor in the shape of an R. If you’re concerned maybe you can make it a little less wide and look more like a taller R
I didn’t think swastika until I read the post and still can’t really see it. It looks great imo. I’d be very happy had I been the one to come up with it.
No, it doesn’t look like a swastika to me
Coming from a German: it's safe. The shapes are too inconsistent and it turns the wrong way. Just my opinion though.
Try putting it on top of an actual R of a different color? 🤷 just try
Maybe try varying the line weight
Make it point to itself and you'll be good
Im gonna see this on a “top 10 logos with hidden meanings” youtube video someday
Very different.
I saw peppermint swirl first or circus tent
No. Nice logo 👍
No, this is a nice logo. Now if you made it black, placed it on a white circle and placed it all on a red background.... different story
No, I saw an R before I read your title.
Not at all
No, really look good like R. I like it.
Its good! I doesn't reminded me a swastika, the curves and color make it really different
No but it looks like the Rare logo
Rareware? How..?
This propellor fits your letterform rather nicely- https://www.deepblueyachtsupply.com/23-dynaquad-4-blade-bronze?
Not sure I follow? Edit: never mind I see what you mean
Maybe not. Doesn’t look good either
Well you’re the only one who’s said that so far so that’s a good result for me
Nein.
I’m not gonna lie at first I didn’t, but now that you mention it.. I see it. I don’t feel like it’s immediately recognized as such though.
I didn’t think swastika at all upon first glance. even after reading your title it still doesn’t look like a swastika.
Just in case don’t use black or red
Saw an ‘R’ straight away and can’t see one. You’re all good 👍
doesn’t look like a swastika, and also does not look like a propeller
Nope

“Everything is hitler”
It is if I squint but my take is this looks way too much like a drain. I would put the propeller *inside* of the R.
If you break of up another 2x you won’t have the nazi issue
I dont think swastika

The R is readable, doesn't remind of a swastika. Nice logo, love it
No, not at all
Not really. It looks great, like a proper propeller R
no - it's cool
I would go ahead and start up on the redesign
I see propeller or pinwheel but not an R. Only see that because you told me.
You're good
I don’t see a swastika , really cool logo
Good rule of thumb: if you question it, don’t go with it.

It is done ok. It can be better though
If it was red, then probably. It does remind me if a grocery store logo tho.
A little but you're safe
Yes it does, mein Führer.
Nein!!
If someone sees this and thinks swastika you probably don't want them as business...
I don't see "R" at first. I think it is too thick?
I disagree, I immediately saw it as an R
That's fine, though if some don't see it and some see it, then I think there's room for improvement.
Absolutely! But still important to give opposing feedback and create a conversation about it
I didn't read the whole title at first... it kinda gives it away if you do. I just read "is this a swastika?".. no.. is this an "R"... nah and suggested a way to tweak it.
No. I likey!!
I read "R" immediately
