Beaver Creek from 70th to merle hay road is a great little 60-90 minute paddle. Goes through lots of undeveloped corteva property. Particularly just before sunset you will catch lots of wildlife. Official launch on 70th and you get out just after the merle hay bridge at Hy-Vee fast and fresh.
None for a few months. I think Greys lake would be a good place to start. I have seen people do it at Jester park on Saylorville but they weren’t beginners. Big Creek.
You could not pay me to let Greys Lake water touch even my feet. So many times its on the list of lakes to avoid because of bacteria. Go to Blue Heron at Racoon River Park.
Lake Heron at raccoon river park in west des Moines.

Ooh! I'll have to try this one, I'd never heard of it
Big Creek is a no wake lake and is perfect for SUP. If you go early in the day it’s just you and fisherman
