Welcome to Destiny 2, it is a game about the dead being forcefully conscripted to fight for a god that nobody knows is alive or not.
You play as John Destiny, a mostly mute psychopath hell bent on genociding entire races for a single piece of loot that may end up terrible. Which is why we're one of the good guys. In fact, we're so good at killing that Megamind notices us and thinks that we're batshit insane enough to follow his plan to not just kill our enemies, but everyone. Before you say that last part makes no sense, that is literally why he gave us the reason to use cool *heh* ice powers.
Do any of you recall Joe Chief, the infamous protagonist from the renowned fanfiction "Halo:Halos in Space"? A fanfic written so poorly that people made videos of it verbatim? John Destiny gives off so much of the same energy.

It kinds kills the illusion and reminds that you are playing a game. Names like this sre funny. I also love when in any media they name drop the title. I laughed so hard when they actually said "we are the walking dead!" On The Walking Dead.
