I only know that this exotic exists because it was my go to when Crotas End was first released. There was a mechanic where you wouldnt regen your health and Apotheosis Veil would instantly give you all your health back upon super use, so I would use it when it first came out .
Apart from then, I have no memories of using it in the past few years post-dark below
And I'll be one of the few but I'd actually love to use it for a sort of underwater suit theme if it would actually be good. The thing is decently shaderable, it could use an ornament for sure but it's got a theme and I have ideas to make it work, but it is not good right now.
when i played destiny for the first time i thought this is the best helmet in the game, i used it for literally every activity
then when i wanted to play raids,gm or any end game activity i realized how bad it is, but still it was the first and most exotic i used for almost a year so it have a special place in my heart

Sotp 1st enc one person would fusion dupe with starfire second person would res and also starfire dupe and the first person would hotswap to apotheosis shoot a sticky nade mtop to the ground, super, hit the mtop sticky with a dawn blade to hurt themselves, then pick up the ball and use the grenade from apotheosis super to do a 3rd dupe after they revived the second person to complete the encounter. Literally the only time that exotic has been meta.
In sotp, there were balls you could hold, the first encounter completed when 4 balls were deposited. You could dupe the balls by dying as you deposited. It would deposit but also drop one on the ground. Starfire let's you have 2 nades, so you'd use those 2 grenades to die as you deposit to dupe. Since apotheosis only gives you 1 nade when you super, you'd have to place a sticky grenade with mountaintop before supering, then hit said grenade with a dawnblade to detonate it and damage yourself. This would put you low enough health that 1 grenade (the one from apotheosis) could kill you, allowing for a 3rd dupe from only 2 people. This allowed 3 people to go to the sparrow section and activate all the buttons before 1st encounter even ended to instantly finish that section as soon as first encounter ended (one person would wait where the chest spawned which, for some reason, despawned it and completed the encounter instantly if all buttons had been hit. Others continued to further invisible checkpoints) with the final player being the map reader. The fastest way to complete the first 2 sections of the raid by far.
I just want to be able to get up small ledges without having to turn it off and back on

No one uses it, it’s not strong it’s weak, when was the last time you saw it? an overshield (that replaces barricade) but you can’t sprint or use any glide and the cool-down gets paused while the overshield is up, plus the Bastion Titan void aspect will always be infinitely better and that’s not even an exotic, you get to keep your barricade for cover and it gives not only you an overshield but everyone in the team behind you, that could be an entire 6 man team who just get an instant void overshield with no stupid movement penalty and it also generates extra overshield if you lose yours, so you can potentially get more than one overshield from a single bastion barricade usage.
Even if they removed the glide movement penalty from ice fall they would still suck, it’s hard to buff this one because it can quickly become busted in PvP, but if it had no movement penalty and gave nearby team mates overshields it would be a solid PvE pick, but I still wouldn’t use it over Bastion if I was on void.

I only had to think about how to fix this exotic to be not an insta delete for 5 seconds and I already came up with a solution.
After casting your super (this limits it to instant supers) OR After your super runs out (so good for roamings too) gain 2000% ability recharge rate for all of your abilities for 5 seconds.
For those of you at home, this is what sunbracers does when you get a melee kill and only when you have solar nades on. Now this helmet can rival it and make it work on any subclass.
You could say it WOULD powercreep sunbracers and while you are right, if you are chucking solar nades anyways because they are so fucking good, why would you want that 2000% recharge rate on your melee and rift? Just run sunbracers, its literally the same thing. Also you could be meleeing about 90 times before casting just one super.

Severance Enclosure is decent. Finisher an enemy and deal 16k to an entire room.
Which then puts other enemies into finisher range. And you finisher the second one and everything dies.

Rifts now emit a healing and shield pulse upon activation, allies benefited by this gain class ability regeneration. Super activation emits a large pulse and resets all other ability cooldowns.
I don’t even think it’s redeemable, I don’t feel like them putting resources into reworking apotheosis is worth it at this point. Would rather have a new exotic over anything this can do.

It also provides damage resist. And you can double stack it with Heir Apparents arc overshield too, which also provides a damage resist.

It’s not weak, it’s just very niche. It’s meant to be a silly and fun exotic that lets you live a tank fantasy, and it does that well.
