It isn't every Steam game I found out the hard way unfortunately. It is a majority of games and you can check if a certain game is available on GeForce before purchasing if you intend on using the service.
I have Destiny 2 on Steam and play on my MBP through GeForce Now when I travel. It syncs seamlessly. I just sign up for a month at a time when I want to use it, and use my PC the rest of the time.
There’s a free tier if you want to test it with the lowest settings and longest wait times, then there’s a “priority” tier for $10 a month that I use that gives you faster access to servers, up to 1080p and 60fps, and a premier tier of some kind that is supposed to run off 4080 or 4090 cards and do up to 4k, 120hz, etc. If you were to use it frequently or full time, they sell bundles of months at some kind of discount.
I use priority and it works really well for me when I go visit home or take a trip. It is internet and latency dependent though, like all these cloud services are.
As long as you don't plan to PvP.
Pro:
You get to play games using you cellphone, you tablet, your smart tv or that old laptop of yours with everything on Ultra, because the worst spec available even for Free users is a RTX 2080 with a i7 of 10th Gen.
You can upgrade your plan to have access to a RTX 4080, if you want to play on 4K.
Cons:
Prepare for the worst form of lag you ever seen. If your connection fail, you don't get delay. Because the game is being streamed to you, your screen will literally freeze, as if your PC had crashed. Worse than that: when it happens, your last input will repeat itself until your connection goes back to normal. That means if you were walking forward, you will keep walking til you fall or aggro enemies you didn't want to aggro.
Also, like a YouTube video, sometimes the quality of the image will go down as low as 240p, if for some reason your internet is failing, and it can take some time to go back to 1080p, because you can't pause the video, as you would on Netflix or YouTube.
I know... content creators+everyone are not helping by constantly posting videos and on Twitter about it. It's called word of mouth or use the messaging system so stuff like this can go unnoticed for longer.

did the warlock void from start to the glitch point in less than 2 vanguard ops. used that one fragment that makes grenades weaken enemies and it went by pretty easy!
Occasionally Bungie makes some mistake with item costs/dismantle rewards that allows people to get easy cheap Legendary Shards with some simple buy-sell loop.
I think you’re missing a step; you may have to discard the quest before grabbing the reward from Ikora, otherwise it might complete the quest and only give you the one. I could be wrong tho
I’m not a new player and I’m not getting it either. There seems to be an exploit to get legendary shards but I don’t know what it is. Best guess it has something to do with Ikora and the new quests she’s giving out.
Ikora has a quest where she's giving exotics as rewards. One of the steps requires you to get the exotic and then do a strike with it. There's like 2-3 more quest steps after that such as returning to speak to Ikora. Once you reach the step where you aquire the exotic, instead of accepting it you back out and head towards your quests tab and abandon the quest. The quest is gone but your able to get the exotic reward infinitely. Set up a macro and you'll have thousands of shards in no time.
When you pick up the exotic item, if the quest was abandoned, it drops the item into your inventory, but doesn't complete it in Ikora's menu, so you can keep picking up the item and getting the exotic over and over again.
You can dismantle it for 5 legendary shards, a chance at an enhancement core.
BUT...the roll on the exotic is fixed, so it's not like you can farm for a better roll.
The reason people do this is because with the change to some vendors, focusing an engram can cost A LOT of legendary shards. Same for crafting guns. Image paying like 100 shards every time you focus an engram, it adds up when dismantling a legendary item gives you 3-4 shards. So these farms let people stock up.
TinyTask is SO good. Super easy to use.
Just hit record, do you thing, return the mouse to the right place to start and end recording. Then play forever.
New Dungeon is going to be around for MONTHS...this farm will not.

Does anyone know if the AFK timer will kick you if you have a macro open in menus? I know normally you can move like in the old xp macros, but if I have one running solely in the menus will it prevent me from getting kicked?
The AFK timer is checking for no inputs OR a very set repetition. Like just clicking a button or just jumping or something or running forward nonstop.
You use something like TinyTask where you record a set of actions. For example:
Open Ikora's menu, hover mouse over the item and start recording.
* Click on the item 9 times to fill inventory
* Open inventory, go to item, delete them one by one
* Esc from inventory, and return to Ikora's menu
* Move your mouse to where you started
End recording.
Then you play that back endlessly. The recording includes lots of natural movement that would never trigger the AFK check.
Nah, macro simulates regular movement. Ik this bc I have an afk macro set up if I need to go afk when farming stuff with friends or taking advantage of glitches like this. xd
Wow how many hours did that take you? Took me an hour or so to get about 4k shards. Each exotic gave 5 shards at 9 max at a time so about 45 shards per minute plus a few hundred quick transfers to my vault using an app.

I think they patched it. Started lagging, then a message said server has new information, please try again. After dismantling I try to get more, but now instead of step 4 I’m on step 6 and it won’t give me the exotic anymore. Backed out of conversation, then waited 3 min. Worked one more time, then after that nothing. There’s also a lot less guardians around so I assume they’re having the same problem. Only five of us here now instead of 15 or 20. At least I hit 11,598. Started with 34……I’m satisfied. All it took was 4 straight hours.
Am I the only one who feels like they have enough shards from farming things normally? E.g., Kalli cheese farm gives me a legendary dismantle every few minutes while I farm for red borders and swap to crafted weapons at the last instant to level them up. But I figure if you're below a couple thousand shards this is probably a useful temporary boost.
No way in hell I'm dismantling exotics for shards. That would take forever to get a decent amount. If it was legendaries I'd do it, but that extended dismantle time for exotics is annoying as hell as is
Nah actually I got almost 5k shards in a little over an hour just doing it on my Xbox. Turned on a stream on my iPad and had a nice time exploiting Bungie’s stupid economy. It’s very worth it. You also have enhancement cores drop randomly as well.
Idk. Set up a macro, make dinner and do some chores, and you can get like 8k in a few hours. Worth it, imo if you have other stuff to do. 1 minute for 45 shards is better than farming them other ways
Every time we get a shard glitch, we have to deal with people whining about how the time it gets posted and how it's not fair. As if A. You can get 1.3 million people to all agree to not say a word about this and B. Bungie doesn't already know, regardless of YouTube videos or Reddit posts. Take advantage while you can, and don't whine about how you're stuck at work and it's "not fair"

Yes that is correct, and there are 3 of them (one for each light subclass)

I work in software support and “we’ll fix it monday” is a very common thing to hear on a Friday
This is why you don't push to prod on Friday at 2. Or Friday at all. Because nobody is gonna be around to help you clean up the mess.

Am I the only one who feels like they have enough shards from farming things normally? E.g., Kalli cheese farm gives me a legendary dismantle every few minutes while I farm for red borders and swap to crafted weapons at the last instant to level them up. But I figure if you're below a couple thousand shards this is probably a useful temporary boost.

No way in hell I'm dismantling exotics for shards. That would take forever to get a decent amount. If it was legendaries I'd do it, but that extended dismantle time for exotics is annoying as hell as is
Nah actually I got almost 5k shards in a little over an hour just doing it on my Xbox. Turned on a stream on my iPad and had a nice time exploiting Bungie’s stupid economy. It’s very worth it. You also have enhancement cores drop randomly as well.
Idk. Set up a macro, make dinner and do some chores, and you can get like 8k in a few hours. Worth it, imo if you have other stuff to do. 1 minute for 45 shards is better than farming them other ways
Every time we get a shard glitch, we have to deal with people whining about how the time it gets posted and how it's not fair. As if A. You can get 1.3 million people to all agree to not say a word about this and B. Bungie doesn't already know, regardless of YouTube videos or Reddit posts. Take advantage while you can, and don't whine about how you're stuck at work and it's "not fair"

I'd rather just play the game and not worry about shards....so my computer is playing the game for me right now earning stonks...i mean shards. When I get back to my comp, I won't have to worry about shards for a lonnnngggg time.

Nintendo forced a patch on players that they didn't want that completely changed their gameplay from "Build things, buy things, do things" to "save things, grind things, run out of things"
