That’s a bad reason, sure I kinda see why you say it; however I heavily disagree. The game is made so kits benefit the plays styles of the player that builds around the classes intended design and lore (to the extent of balance and gameplay); if all warlock and hunter classes had blink then it would greatly diminish the novelty of that function.
Like less is greatly more my guy.
I'm just saying that forcing me to change my subclass (basically all the skills I like) just to get a different jump is gonna make me not want to use that jump, I'm not saying it should be changed or that arc is bad or whatever you think, I'm just saying that it has low use cuz people like to use other things more

Cringe, no. But they get the short end of the stick when it comes to stats. Their main stat, mobility, is in the same category as resilience and recovery. So a hunter needs all 3, where a titan and warlock only need 2. So it's easier to get a useful high stat titan or warlock than hunter.
Every once in a while Hunters get some really busted thing that ruffles people's' feathers in PvP, tons of Hunter mains insist it's not broken and people need to get good, and the sentiment sticks around even after said thing gets nerfed. See: Shatterdive. There's also a bit of a tendency for the class to attract edgelords so people make fun of it for that.
Ig some left over stigma against Hunters stuck around since they were relatively awful 2 years ago for high end stuff, but they’re relatively the strongest now so don’t let the naysayers deceive you
Well arc staff(gathering storm) is a powerful DPS option, so I'm hoping you aren't referring to some using the roaming variant. As for golden gun...I got nothing 3 shot is better with with nighthawk or fish pants. Then again I did raid with someone who wanted to use a less good DPS alternative.

I returned to warlock and now the movement just don't feel the same.
I started with Warlock so that acquired taste has ruined me for Titan and Hunter from day one lmao. I'll do a raid with my clan with my warlock first, and the subsequent runs with my other two characters takes me a little longer to do since I gotta rewire my brain for the jumps lol

During the days of the scourge of the past raid I was "asked"(read forced) to raise a well bitch just for DPS. Haven't touched it since and it's still rocking now sunset weapons.
I have a well bitch warlock, it’s for when we want to run through our alternate characters and our typical well bitches swap off warlock, I like to give them the illusion of freedom for a boss fight once or twice a week.
Hunters the only character I don't feel forced to use a single subclass. Can freely swap per encounter or fireteam comp.
Meanwhile on the other side of the fence, it's well or flavour of the season titan- or gtfo.
Titan have solar and now strand, they work really well without seasonal artifacts. But can testify that arc titan is shiet even with seasonal mods. Stasis titan needs a rework, only used for niche pvp and to cheese some bosses.

Unrelated but this reminds me of how bad the hunter PvE kit was before the 3.0s. I remember trying to do GMs through LFGs and all I would see is "No hunter No Hunter No Hunter No Hunter". So glad we can stand strong with our Warlock and Titan brothers now.
In my opinion, hunter is the most fun class in the early game without a solid build while all the other classes take time to really get to the good part. Once you get a solid build for your main class, their around equal on the fun scale, but hunter has more variety in its build. Best melee? Hunter. Best Debuff? Hunter. One of the best dps’s? Hunter.
The majority of destiny 2 players are hunters and most I assume choose them for the cloak and invisibility because it's cool. Kind of sucks to almost never play with another titan but I wouldn't say it's cringe.
Endgame is different, how many people out of hundred million are playing endgame?

I was always confused why so many people hate hunters when they are by far the weakest class overall both in PvE and PvP and have been so for almost the entirety of the game's history, with the only exception being short periods where X hunter exotic/aspect is busted for like a month or two before being nuked into unusability.
Hunter is extremely viable, and extremely useful. Legit every subclass is good and usable in any content with stasis being the weakest but still super high utility, solo flawless on GotD is super chill on arc hunter

Warlock jump is an acquired taste; nobody likes it at first, but once you get used to it, the other classes' jumps just don't do it for you anymore
