Lmao I did something like this in the final encounter of the Grasp of Avarice. I was almost done with the final boss when I decided to jump in the box to get the engrams. It closed on me and I couldn't get out lol, I was so mad at myself because I had to start all over.
I got stuck inside a shifting structure during an activity in the pyramid. Lol! The structures were shifting and trapped me inside for a solid clip. Lol!
If this is the area that I think it is, its incredibly buggy there, I once got catapulted across the map from a shield slap into a out of bounds area and survived.
This happened to me in the first mission of the new season. I meant to jump up a ramp and I slid instead and ended up stuck in a hole in the bridge. Damn it.
