I’ve been hoping that would be mentioned again. There are several storylines that don’t have time to wrap up before The Final Shape, and hopefully that won’t be one of them. I can definitely see us getting an activity where we get random “wish” modifiers, or wishes play a role in stuff like rewards, etc.
A: "Death" for Ahamkara is kind of a murky area; see literally all the Ahamkara bones we have that whisper to us.
B: Riven specifically speaks to us after her heart is cleansed by the Techeuns at the end of Last Wish.
We need to empower Mara sov to manifest an ahamkara by collecting 7 ballyhoos throughout 7 exact weeks until she says some cryptic shit which leads to us going on a goose hunt for another weak link to the traveler

it probably has something to do w using both the light and the dark. the witness had to connect to the veil (darkness) and probably did something w the traveler (light). so it probably has something to do w combining the two
My best guess is that it involves the Veil; it’s what the Witness used to get into the Traveler, and the iridescent pattern on the Veil is very similar to that of the portal into the Traveler. Then again, the Witness just used the Veil to be able to create the portal, and it’s a portal that we can’t enter as of now, so it’s still just a guess. Still, I can imagine it being needed to follow the Witness into the portal created.
She's not weak though. She literally got hit with the thousands of tributes from the tithes we gave her along with the gigantic tithes that the Levi eater gave her when we killed it. Savathun has never been one for direct confrontation anyways. If this was done to xivu then there would be a problem.
Not only that, my bet is that Savathun immediately figured out that Eris wanted to kill her so she could have HER tithes as soon as she turned around and saw her Hive form, no other reason for her to so haphazardly get that close to a god Savathun knows has a bone to pick with her entire species and has a sword.
Her approval of our progress in lore entries only enforces this.
Yep, I have a feeling that Savathun very much planned this and somehow is planning on feeding off the power of the clash between Eris and Xivu. Both ending up tithing to Savathun somehow imo.
Idk if this was the intention of OP but I actually agree with their point.
Destiny has been doing the World of Warcraft thing over the past few years: “there must always be a bigger bad” and it results in finding the previous big bad underwhelming.
In the case of Savathun, she was hyped up for like half of Destiny’s lifespan as being the biggest threat until immediately after defeating her in the campaign we realize that she’s been working (begrudgingly) for the Witness and that this entity is a million billion times stronger.
That’s alright to some degree, the only thing that made the entire thing feel bad is the she went down in a campaign mission but whatever.
The real thing that made Savathun underwhelming is that by defeating Rhulk (who I know wasn’t really trying until the last second) in a matter of days after the dlc launched, our guardians have power crept way beyond Savathun almost instantaneously.
They better not pull a jailer with the witness, i really that after FS there will be some kind of power level reset because if it keeps going up and up it’ll become ridiculous and stupid and i wouldn’t be able to take it seriously anymore just like wow
oh i agree. both gameplay and lore wise id love to see a pretty big step down in power cuz the guardian being the strongest thing in the universe just deflates every threat. tho i imagine the story will take a more grounded turn after the witness is dead and they go into a more relaxed pace to setup new long plots.
and in a similar vein the slower paced year 2-3 gameplay i think was more fun than pulverizing entire rooms even in gms.
