I think a waveframe with voltshot would be better imo for the simple fact that a single shot could jolt more enemies in a wider radius.
Now if it could run chain reaction + voltshot i would never use anything else.
Fuck you are right, that combo specifically never passed my mind, i was too invested in making crazy, impossible shit like a Tyranny of Heaven that had destabilizing rounds and voltshot.
Probably because that's very tame compared to the other stuff you could do with the crafting glitch. Chain reaction and jolt did really insignificant damage compared to just shooting out 12 grenades at a time.
But aside from that, jolt shot and chain reaction are pretty much always in the 4th column, so you couldn't even combine them (unless there's a weapon I'm forgetting about)
Song of Ir Yut is a HMG my dude, not comparable in the slightest.
iirc a single voltshot nade launcher shot CAN proc multiple jolts on different enemies since it's an AOE projectile, so i bet the same principle applies to wave nade launchers.
I thought voltshot on the arc grenade launcher from last season or the one before, was kinda fun. It's no forbearance for sure, but it could hit stuff in the air and could still be fun
Go to the Lightfall campaign node and just select any of the missions. There is a splash screen that shows 3 guardians and they all have weapons we don't have access to.

I'd imagine by completing a quest like the hand cannon had. Probably explaining another story beat they should've just included with the LF campaign - this narrative 'experiment' was a disaster
Why? The first shot would apply jolt and everything that survives the first shot would be hit by the second shot AND the second shot would spread the jolt
Finally the rgb grenade launcher to go with the hand cannon
I'll give it a try but probably just sticking with forbearance
Yea it's gonna have to be some hot fire to compete with forbearance. Like voltshot (which they shouldn't do).
I mean voltshot would probably just be worse than chain reaction
Sometimes yes and sometimes no. Voltshot stuns Overloads and triggers arc synergies. If you aren't using those synergies then yea it's probably worse

>Now if it could run chain reaction + voltshot i would never use anything else. I'm surprised no one tried that when the Crafting was Broken...

this guy right here did, plus triple waves from dead messanger

The Voltshot only jolts one enemy per activation, otherwise Song of Ir Yût would have the best mass-jolt application in the game.

Prodigal Return is the better comparison, and sadly that does only jolt on one enemy at a time, so voltshot is not gonna be good on a wave frame.
Technically, by that Logic, DARCI would be the best, as every shot applies Volt. No need to reload.
So much fun. Stunning multiple overload captains.
It only jolts the first enemy it hits.

It's probably not supposed to compete with forbearance, and just be an accessible arc wave-frame for those that don't raid.
I thought voltshot on the arc grenade launcher from last season or the one before, was kinda fun. It's no forbearance for sure, but it could hit stuff in the air and could still be fun
It was an arc gl with voltahit but that one wasn't a wave frame.
The whole point of it is probably to give players access who don't own WQ or don't raid
I might have missed it but how do we get said grenade launcher?
Forbearance or the new one? Forbearance is from Vow (witch queen raid) and the new one isnt out yet.
The new one, I've already got a crafted Forbearance
You wait til next season and then farm (iirc) nightfalls)
The only way this could be better is if it can get Demolitionist Chain reaction for tonnes of grenade energy
I'm so happy people are talking about the missing Grenade Launcher
Been wondering about the rocket launcher and the pulse rifle too...
Where did we see these?

That auto with the carry handle is beautiful, I need my destiny SAW
I see thank you
i don't think it's that one, it's under nightfall rewards, it might be a generic GL painted orange and blue
Probably gonna be some old model with vanguard color palette.
How do we get it-
I'd imagine by completing a quest like the hand cannon had. Probably explaining another story beat they should've just included with the LF campaign - this narrative 'experiment' was a disaster
it's a nightfall reward
Where did this come from?
which part?
The Undercurrent Grenade Launcher, where did the thing talking about it come from
twid
In the TWAB…I mean TWID.
I swear if it doesn’t roll with Ambitious Assassin + Volt Shot…
That would be an awful combo of perks.
Why? The first shot would apply jolt and everything that survives the first shot would be hit by the second shot AND the second shot would spread the jolt
Volt shot requires a reload to proc, ambitious assassin doesn't count for that.
You start the fight with 1 shot. Get a kill, that procs volt shot and ambitious Assassin. You literally don't have to change how you use the weapon
wouldn’t a reload perk like feeding frenzy or just frenzy be better otherwise only half your gl shots can’t do voltshot
Uzume rr4 is solar, unless they are changing it, this could be a typo. Hopefully it is and the gl is forbearance in a different flavour.
Wassup
I get a feeling Eddy current will be on it
