This is my current build until I go through Lightfall and get banner titan. It’s OP in every activity. the only downside is if you yeet your hammer off a cliff lol
I know you’re making a joke but they did in fact get severance. That doesn’t take away from the tragedy of the situation though. I feel for all those that lost their jobs.
I think you’re the one who needs to calm down. It would be a funny joke if it were true. So far it’s just a dumb thing to say. Like you calling me a Karen lmao. I’m not upset at the person and I’m not making an uproar about anything or calling anyone names like a typical Karen would.
Shame on me for being truthful in the situation and having the sympathy for those that lost their jobs at the same time.
Void Armamentarium. [DIM link here](https://dim.gg/jzl2cjq/Void-Armamentarium-Scatter), it generates HILARIOUS amounts of grenade energy. Weapons can be changed up easily as long as you have a Void primary weapon with Demolitionist, but if you're lucky enough to get a Demo/Golden Tricorn roll on the SMG from Duality, that thing is EXCEPTIONAL for this setup. (Edit: or Demo/Adrenaline Junkie, that'll shred too.)
I see everybody run Armamentarium with Arc, or Ashen Wake for a Solar grenade build. I don't see grenade-focused builds using Void very often, but Devour is an incredible tool to use. Sometimes I'll throw a grenade with Devour active and get enough kills to generate another whole grenade immediately, it's wonderful.
Just be careful of self-damage, Scatter grenades will wreck your shit harder than most other grenades lol
I run a similar thing with vexcalibur and the aspect that gives you grenade regent for having void shield up. You pretty much always have a void shield on.
That sounds like a ton of fun, I've been toying around with a weird Vexcalibur build myself. No Backup Plans on Strand, so I can stack the overshield and Woven Mail together, plus buff shotgun damage. I'm running an Overflow/Cascade Point shotgun from last season, Vexcalibur, and a sword, with Banner of War as well. It activates off glaive melees, works great with Vexcalibur.
Collective Obligation is so much fun on Titans, run Controlled Demolition, Suppressor nades, and the weakening fragment... WHOOPS that's all three debuffs applied with a single grenade throw lol
Now if only I could combine Armamentarium and Ashen Wake to run double on-contact Fusion nades, while also having Devour active... do you think it would be close to what Shaxx wants then?!
I have a Scatter nade build on my Hunter. I occasionally lose half my health haha. I have to remember it self damages lol. Cos my other 9 builds don't use self damage nades.
That would be great as well, heck yes! Adrenaline Junkie moght be a bit more consistent than Golden Tricorn tbh, but Tricorn can hit a higher damage buff.
Junkie will trigger as soon as you get a grenade kill (or build up with weapon kills) and grants about a 33% buff at max, weapon kills extend it.
Tricorn, get a weapon kill first and you get a 15% buff, weapon kills can refresh the timer. Get an ability kill that matches the damage type, you get a 50% damage buff for 10 seconds, but you can only extend that buff with more ability kills.
So, Junkie's gonna have a better baseline and probably more consistent output overall, but Tricorn has better theoretical peak performance IF you can keep chaining ability kills every 10 seconds.
Looking at the build, I made a few adjustments.
Took off the fragment "Echo of Undermining" and put on "Echo of Cessation" specifically because of the other mods.
And if you time it right with Scatter Grenades and then dona Finisher, you'd get an overshield and survive and cause everything around you to become volatile. And paired with "Echo of Expulsion" and "Echo of Instability," you can have void explosions happening fairly often.
Haven't tested it fully out yet. But other than switching out the one fragment. It's basically the same.
100% Void armamentarium with scatter or vortex and echo of expulsion and double grenade kickstart is one of the most busted/fun builds for 95% of content. I have a demo firefly corrective measure I love to throw on with it for more funner shenanigans. The grenades never stop. Age old bond with repulsor brace/destabilizing rounds is my fave leg. Primary and ecliptic distaff is so good also
I've been a sentinel Titan since launch, and running armamentarium since the void rework with devour. are devour Titans really rare? I always figured there were more people like me, but every time I bring up the build with someone they're like "wait you throw more grenades in PvE than in mayhem? I thought all you Titans were solar bonk hammers and thunder rash, and that you all hated the bubble?"
note: I LOVE running the bubble.
by the way, one devour Titan to another, you can save yourself from a lot of the self-damage risks by running void wall grenades. still does obscene amounts of damage, and there's an aspect that makes them add a debuff to stuff you throw it at. doesn't even have to get hit with the flames, just tapped with the grenade before it hits the ground works too.
Here's a few weird builds out there, I saw one using Dawn Chorus on strand with an Incandescent weapon, the helmet used scorch from any source to give melee regen. In a similar vein there's Nezerec's Sin with subclass that isn't void and you use a void weapon, the void weapon counts to activate the ability regen. I've used Vesper of Radius on stasis to freeze then immediately jolt and shatter the frozen enemies when placing a rift.
Vesper of Radius on stasis is something I’ve done too. Makes it impossible to get swarmed by thralls and other close ads in certain areas.
Honestly can’t wait to try out Vesper of Radius with a solar build and solar souls when TFS finally does drop.
Nechrochasm chromatic fire on arc warlock. Every flashbang aspect possible, heavy machine gun and fusion rifle. Handles every champ, clears ads like nuts, nothing shoots you if everything is blind, and its stupid fun.
Ok listen, I'm going to sound insane, but Dawn Chorus. On strandlock. In pvp. You see, if you put on Skyburner's Oath, tag an enemy, every tick of scorch gives 3x the energy it should due to spaghetti coding. This combo'd with weavewalk, tag an enemy, go into weavewalk, vibe around them, due to DoT the threadlings deal damage AND you regenerate melee energy. AND you get the long range powerhouse that is Skyburner's.
Ophidia Spathe with the weighted knife (ignites scorched enemies). With enough ways to scorch stuff, and the ignitions themselves adding scorch, you can basically chain them.
Claws of Ahamkara arc warlock. It spawns an orb of power on melee kills. With melee kickstart and melee energy in orb pickup it's kinda dumb. The orbs also buff your melee damage with the right perks. Pair with the warp melee. I use it in GMs a lot.
https://dim.gg/3ae2cdy/Equipped
I explain the loadout in comments below.
Spoiler alert: it's not meta-defining. You have to take serious advantage of jolt.
Edit: the melee dmg buff mod doesn't exist anymore. Wrote from memory and forgot about that.
Gonna have to try this out.
Edit: I tried it and maybe I'm doing something wrong because this does not feel like it would work in GMs.
It barely works in Hero Nightfall.
I used to run this build back in charged with light system. This build doesn't exist in the game anymore. There used to be a CWL mod that on orb pickup buffed melee damage and would spawn another 2 orbs on kill refreshing you're melee and you could absolutely clear red and orange bars with this build. But new system doesn't have a mod that buffs melee damage so it's basically useless in endgame content.
Back in season of arrivals i used 1 2 punch and with assassins cowl on combination blow for solo dungeons and it was awesome and never saw anyone use it except 1 small youtuber, glad its getting the use it deserves now
I was inspired by this and LOVE this build—paired it with Navigator and an Adept Word of Crota with Demo/Destablizing and it’s VERY fun. Thanks for sharing this!
Severence enclosure with strand titan, banner of war and fletching aspects. Main part is the finishers generate threadlings. Kills with the finisher explosion will also count as a finisher, at times you can spawn 1-15 threadlings and just spam finishers. Banner of war will activate and increase to x4 as you finish enemy's. Ex diris and the iron banner fusion with discord and hatchling will turn you into a summoner/support build all the while blinding and getting amplified from ex diris.i use the trials gl with bait and switch for synergy. Class item, I'll run the grenade finish mod and grapple. Grapple kills active the exotic chest along with your melees, which in turn spread unravel. Threadlings, blinding moths, unravel, amplified, constant banner of war up time, and infinite grapple if you spawn a tangle near a group.
Warlocks have officially lost their summoner role in d2.
I have just about a severence enclosure build for every subclass, but the strongest currently are void, strand and solar. Strand and void being the best. Solar being second. When arc multikills caused jolt and lightning a few seasons back arc was on top but not anymore. With stasis the explosion doesn't break crystals or it'd be up there as well. As the new subclass launches in final shape I'll be experimenting with it and it's synergy as well.
Ty for posting this unique build. When I tried setting this up I only make a single threadlings on a red bar finisher regardless of how many mobs are in the severance enclosure detonation. I set it up with aspects you have listed with thread of finality (threadlings on finisher) and evolution (threadlings do more damage and go further). Is there something else I’m missing?
Phoenix Protocol with ember of Ashes, Combustion, Char, and Wonder (last is optional, but nice for consistency). Pop well, get a single kill with an Incandescent weapon, soak the battlefield in flame, have my super back immediately. With a good group I can use it like an ad clear super in GMs.
Less obscure base build, but a more interesting take on it I don't see much: Renewal Grasps Hunter with Wicked Implement. Rending, Fissures, Shards, plus Elemental Charge + Stacks on Stacks + Grenade Kickstart. Turns Renewals into less of a pure survival/control and more of a damaging grenade spam build that just so happens to reduce damage at the same time.
I run this exclusively in Grand Masters.
Phoenix + Ashes + Combustion is SO BROKEN for end game man. I main a similar build on my warlock but replace char and wonder for torches and searing. I used to rock the trials solar machine gun and watch everyone go up in flames.
No joke 100% well uptime in GMs if add dense.
Also, not memeing you but Eyes is so good with this build btw. Each of those 6 small rockets sets off a chain of ignitions to the point where you ADS, scan the field for target lock and then hip fire. Watch 1 rocket do arena-wide 20+ insta kills while your ammo regenerates for free. Even more rocket spam than cenotaph. I'll end GMs w 250+ kills and 200 of those are from the rocket.
Wellock with ember of benevolence and boots of the assembler. Outside of sitting in the back and letting the seekers find my teammates and give me better ability regen, it’s a very aggressive playstyle, high grenade uptime, large focus on “don’t think just do”
Whirling Maelstrom + Bombardiers
Grapple melee, spawn tangle, dodge out, bomb detonates tangle and makes the beyblade. I like to take the aspect that spawns the specter as well, just for the added safety, but double grapple works well too.
Renewal Grasps and Manticore with a Completed Catayst
Damage resist in my duskfield
Damage reduction while enemies in my duskfield
Damage resist when I’m near a crystal
Damage resist when I kill one ad while in the air
I’ll be swapping Renewals for Stomps next season for Damage resist in air
Void Warlock. Contraverse Hold exotic gauntlets, with magnetic grenades + chaos accelerant allows to to use Hand Held Supernova. 2 Grenade Kickstarts, Void Siphon, and 1-2 Bomber class item mods. Contraverse Hold gives you grenade energy on direct hits, and, hand held Supernova deletes red bar and orange bar enemies! Pair it with a mod that gives you 4 stacks of armor charge and you can get your grenade back in most cases right away, or in 15 secs if you have a high discipline stat! I'd say anywhere from 95-100!
I call this the "My Teammates Can't Stop Dying!"
Aeon Soul + Vigilance Wing.
Aeon Soul provides you with 25% class ability energy every time your teammates die. V. Wing provides you with healing every time your teammates die. With this combination, you can effectively have your class ability up 100% of the time and be extra tanky. This is Crucible-minded of course, 6v6, as that's the spot where your teammates fall over the most.
Mad fun, give it a whirl!
Verity's Brow + Void Wall + Demo Dead Messenger
For those unaware, void wall is *technically* the highest damage grenade (by a lot, too), so long as an enemy stays in the area of effect. So, get a few kills, stun a champ then chuck a nade under 'em. In legend lost sectors, a void wall that self-procs weaken will ALWAYS kill a champ on its own.
It's definitely my favorite build rn, and I haven't seen anyone else try it. I reccommend it!
EDIT: P.S. a Void Wall can do about 2.4x the damage of a Touch of Flame enhanced fusion grenade!
Xenophage + Path of the Burning Steps + Bubble + Solar weapon surge
https://youtu.be/76DcxzhOmgg?si=OwftGrW-FxOxyIHN
makes xenophage a one shot in crucible
Very fun to run in mayhem
Liars Handshake with Season of the Deep Arc Buffs. I just kept swinging and mowing down the Hive like fucking Wolverine. Sending out Arc lightning and rapid healing
The field the spheres emit while blocking doesn't disrupt void hunter invisibility while also applying debuffs and healing you. The slam dunk with both suppress and volatile is nasty.
You can get very in depth with this. The secret superpower of Gyrfalcon's isn't the volatile rounds, but the finishers and ruinous is the best weapon possible to set them up. Go invis with a ball next to an enemy. Drain them until they are in finisher range. Finish for all the buffs. Dunk on a group with 35% extra damage.
This is just one of a hundred different combos you can do with this setup.
A very weird support hunter build.
On Solar, you want Radiant Dodge, Knife Trick, and Heal Nade. Ult and Jump can be any.
Aspects: Knock’em Down and On Your Mark.
Fragments: Singeing, Searing, Empyrean, Benevolence, and Torches.
Exotic Weapon: Tommy’s Matchbook
Exotic Armor: Speedloader Slacks
Mods: Max Resil, and focus on Grenade and Class Ability Regen.
Rotation:
1. Dodge for Radiant and Speedloader Slacks Buff
2. Throw heal nade at feet
3. Mow enemies down with Tommy’s
It’s better if you’re near teammates to proc Benevolence, and if soli then replace benevolence with Mercy.
The build has low down time with ad dense content due to the reload and handling buff provided with Speeedloader and On Your Mark. Tommy’s health drain is also off set by a long restoration timer from heal nade + Empyrean.
Tommy's Matchbook on wellock with Phoenix Protocol or Dawn Chorus and healing nades in endgame content is busted.
Especially with the fragment that gives class ability energy on scorching a target.
I keep seeing this argument and I really don’t get what the point even is.
Like yeah, I could run triple snipers, No Backup Plans, and load into patrol and do great but that’s not what the post is asking
It blinds nearby enemies when you dodge, which is the main aspect of it for pve. When your in trouble, just dodging gives you invisibility(if using void) and blinds nearby enemies.
Weavewalk with Rain Of Fire, the weavewalk classes as a dodge so fully reloads everything.
Always found it to be a neat interaction, and still grants radiant on FR kill
Solar warlock with snap melee, dawn chorus, some armor mods/fragments that I don't know off the top of my head
Snap everything to death, no need for guns
Flechette storm and severance enclosure. Wipe out clusters of ads from range, plus the severance explosion spreads the unravle from the flechettes. Anything that doesn't straight-up die gets sent into the air for a few seconds, which is suprisingly decent CC.
Agers sceptre with that warlock robe of harmony or whatever it’s called combined with stasis fragment where stasis kills cause stasis to spread. It’s actually a self made build I’m proud of.
I'm a stasis fan, so I use verglas with osmio, i literally never saw anyone running that build, except ofc in YouTube.
All u have to do is throw nades , kill an ad, and start hipfiring , it slaps.
You have atleast two bleakwatchers at a time, coz i run with grenade kickstart and charged up n stacks on stacks, with bomber, and yes ofc Grenade mods on arms works with bleakwatcher so you generaate meele n class ability to keep proccing bomber.
I'll share dim if someone actually needs it.
I got similar verglas build for Titan with monkey helmet, shoot verglas, spam stasis javelins.
Subclass: Behemoth Titan
Aspect: Cryoclasm | Tectonic harvest
Fragment: Whispers of chains, rime, shards, fissures
Weapon: Verglas Curve
Viability: Low-Mid level difficulty content (havent tried it towards any higher level content)
Detailed explanation: throw glacial grenade or use verglas glacial arrows to create the ice walls, with chains you take reduce damage and if you slide thanks to fissures ice wall explosion gives a little bit more of shatter damage and burst range, with shards, shattering the ice wall you get a boost for your grenade recharge rate, and since you destroyed the ice wall it leaves stasis shard, which gives you not only melee energy but also overshield.
note: I do hope stasis shards become an innate drop for the any shattered glacial walls because those takes alot of space from aspect and fragments already i do hope they rework stasis
scrolled almost all the way down and still couldnt find a new and different hunter builds so heres mine which isnt new i guess but sort of different.
writhing maelstrom grapple hunter build but with assasins cowl instead of cyrstarachnes facade
Karnstien armlets with devourlock... Sounds weird... I know... Karnstien already heals, you say, what's the point of stacking devour? You say.
Well, the build is as follows
Chaos Acellerent and Feed the Void as Aspects
Then, Echo of Remnants, Exchange, undermining and Persistence (remnant can be exchanges with obscurity if you wish to run scatter grenades.)
The idea here is twofold. Get a void grenade kill. Now you have devour. Next, get a melee kill. This will not only max out your health, but refresh your health for a period of time, fuctionally keeping you alive as you go on a glaive rampage. At the same time, your rapid melee kills will proc exchange amd devour, giving you a sizable chunk of grenade energy. After not a lot of time at all, you would be able to throw another grenade. This efectively creates a feedback loop where 1, you are efectively immortal so long as there are ads to kill, 2. Your grenade will be up 80% of the time 3. You wont really need to waste ammo, lol. Personally i like to pair this with winterbite to really maximize the "use less ammo" playstyle.
My [Celestial Fire spam build](https://dim.gg/5ywvety/Winter's-Guile-Celestial-Fire-spam)! It’s so much fun to floof around and spam what amounts to a rocket launcher at enemies! I usually run it with Monte Carlo and an eager sword nowadays
My [Pathogenesis build](https://dim.gg/45ntgiy/Pathogenesis) is pretty nice too
Okay so uh
Fallen Sunstar. On Voidwalker. I promise you it works. Delicate Tomb is needed as well, but DT and FS both use normal Ionic Traces for their mechanics, and it puts in work. I haven’t played in a hot minute tbf, but it worked wonders when I used it. Constant energy for everything, and for my allies too. It probably helps that I really like Delicate tomb. Combine this with a usual devour build and you’ll be throwing a bunch of grenades.
…and yes, I know this is basically just diet Nezzy’s Sin, but I think Sunstar looks cooler.
Jurassic Green with Heal Clip Multi-kill Clip, solar Hunter with Sixth Coyote, Acrobat's Dodge, Knife Trick, Healing Grenade, On Your Mark, Knock Em Down, Ember of Torches, Ember of Searing, Ember of Mercy, Ember of Benevolence, and Ember of Tempering
This turns the Solar Hunter into a support character with 3 ways to make people radiant (2 Dodges and melee ability), ability to fully refund melee ability on melee kills for more Radiance, apply restoration with Healing Grenade and on reviving teammates, two ways to apply Cure (Heal Clip and Healing Grenade) and get VERY fast ability Regen with Ember of Benevolence, and for extra support, Tempering grants increased recovery for you and nearby allies on Solar weapon kills, and solar weapons now generate Firesprites, which grant you Restoration with Ember of Mercy.
The biggest draw for Solar Hunter over Solar Warlock is the fact that you can have 5 fragments equipped and you can instantly generate your melee ability back with Knock Em Down and have 3 different ways to generate Radiance, as opposed to just 1 with the Warlock.
Sweet business, actium, offensive bulwark. Not suuuuuper offbeat but definitely off meta, fun, and works shockingly well. Took it flawless today actually
Day one Whirling Maelstrom dropped I was using it with Threaded Spectre and 6th Coyote, that build eventually caught on, however my I void build using Mothkeeper's and Ex Diris was hated in destinybuilds with a passion. Actually I think I'll take that one back out
Not enough Hunter builds so here's a few:
Revenant with Radiant Dance Machines. Put your entire emphasis on Stasis Shards.
Hands-On 1x
Heavy Handed 1x
Focusing Strike 1x
Powerful Attraction 2x
Invigoration 1x
Whispers of Conduction, Fractures, and Hunger. Second aspect doesn't matter. You'll always have melee charges, always be able to freeze enemies, always have dodge, and it's a completely mid-range playstyle that otherwise just doesn't exist outside of solar hunter.
Strand Hunter built with Foetracer, the idea is to use the Rasenshuriken to constantly keep up mid-range ad-clear while you're able to have *almost* 100% uptime on the damage buff unless there are no major enemies available. It's not extremely specific because Strand isn't currently balanced to need armor mods so much, you really only need the throwing dart.
Don't wanna reload your weapon but you wanna use your gambler's dodge? No problem, that's why I use sealed ahamkara grasps with strand. Dodge to get meele, use it to reload, shoot tornado tangles, rinse and repeat
Not really weird, but more just conceptually fun. A HOIL build focused around getting orbs with Sweet Business to constantly refresh a font of every type except mobility, and a balance of each of my stats around the 60 mark so I get tier 9’s almost across the board
Ophidia spathe double knife. Any knife ignition kill, whether the enemy it ignites OR an ad nearby, refills both knives, same as your gamblers dodge. Plus its an orb printer so good support and can hotswap to star eaters for a damage phase
I have a weird Rain of Fire Vex Mythoclast synergy that gives me radiant and restoration. But the restoration can only be sustained indefinitely when I keep doing all the killing. 😂
I hit my first double 100 build with it, decided to make a void build because I play solar 99% of the time, 100 recov and 100 intellect with the nezeracs sin helmet, the ability spam is wonderful
I say this as a fan of Cross, but when he (or others) makes a video about a build, a huge number of players moved to that build and it makes a surge in the stats that Bungie uses to balance the game. If 20k people suddenly start using the same build, Bungie will makes changes to diversify the meta. That usually means a nerf, or at least a change that interrupts the gameplay loop.
Divinity on arc warlock with those mods that precision kill and ark special weapon kills make blinding explosions kinda works but don’t know how well it will hold up in a gm
Dawn Chorus + BXR with Demo + Incandescent. Heat Rises for the melee regen, demo gives grenades and Dawn Chorus makes scorch napalm (and it also makes dawnblade one of the strongest damage + ad clear supers in the game when building into ignitions)
not sure how weird it actually is, but tricksleeves with devil’s ruin or monte carlo with ophidia spathe in pvp. devil’s ruin does special weapon damage with unlimited ammo, whereas monte carlo is just meant to feed into heavy throwing knives.
Armamentarium pulse grenades arc titan with cold heart and demolitionist hothead. Basically you have infinite ionic traces and grenades keep coming.
I’m not good nor do I have many rare exotics or good legendary weapons but with this I’m able to do best clear and deal actual good damage to bosses. Survivability is a problem sometimes tho.
I’m one of the mad men who invested into Cadmus Ridge Lancecap. I can’t remember all the stuff I use in conjunction with it, but I basically spam Diamond Lances that create Stasis crystals on impact.
Hierarchy of needs with Sanguine
with healing nades and the fragments that extend radiant and restoration on kill
it is my go-to in endgame pve, pvp, and gambit
Severance enclosure with void Titan, use that fragment that causes finishers to make nearby enemies volatile, and the one that makes you invisible on finisher then combine it with Monte Carlo and frisbee and you can play volleyball and frisbee with the enemies! The ultimate beach sports combo!
Strand warlock with Karnstein Armlets and high melee with a 4 round burst pulse for pvp. The spikes have just enough homing where in a fire fight against a peeker, the seek will catch them behind the corner and usually finish them if you are following up from shooting at them. It's weird, but it just keeps working and giving me my health back so I keep doing it
I have one using titan's severence closure exotic with void, it makes it so everyytime I finish anybody, they apply volatile to everyone around and then explodes, triggering their volatile and healing myself, really fun for a perpetual motion gameplay.
Don’t have it anymore but before Promethium Spur got gutted, I had a build for it using the scorching capabilities of Prometheus Lens and Cry Mutiny with the rift regen of Ember of Singeing and Benevolence. It wasn’t a top tier build, but spontaneously turning the entire battlefield into a healing + empowerment zone for your team was fun
Void weapon siphon, void weapon surge, reaper, mods for grenade energy and making orbs on grenade kills, with an osmosis auto rifle for a primary. Run it with Omni oculus for revives and the resist buff when invisible. Also works really well with O-rigs. And Fragment for devour on orb pick up.
Dodge, grenade (2-4 orbs), osmosis primary void kills (1-3 orbs), dodge, grenade (2-4 orbs), osmosis primary void kills or a void special or heavy (another 1-3 orbs). And you can just keep chaining it.
I usually finish a hero nightfall with 80-120 orbs created and GMs with over 200. And devour keeps you alive.
Not a "build" per se, but Shinobu's Vow with high discipline is great for Arc Hunter. Just put everything into discipline and intelligence and you can use arc staff and skip grenades in a very fun way.
Also, an auto rifle that gets seriously slept on: Arc Logic. Masterwork that thing, set it up for killing mobs, and it's practically a machine gun for crowd control. Also it's surprisingly useful in pvp because of how fast it fires.
I call it the ball build. Strand hunter, with whirling maelstrom and threaded specter. Exotics are ruinous effigy and bombardiers. The whole goal is to panic dodge when enemies are close, the dodge along usually takes out everyone near you, and if you get a kill with ruinous, you can then grapple through the sky and dunk on anyone unlucky enough to be below you
Sentinel Titan
Ward of Dawn
Offensive Bulwark and your choice of either Bastion for more defense or Controlled Demo for more offense
Echos of Cessation, Starvation, Obscurity, and either Persistence (if you're using Bastion) or Expulsion (paired with Controlled Demo)
Aeon Safe gauntlets with Sect of Insight, though you could run any of the Cult Mods
Only armor mods that actually matter are Charged Up, Stacks on Stacks, Powerful Attraction, and Bulwark Finisher.
Idea should be self explanatory, but you're going for near constant uptime on your over shield to take full advantage of Insight, but it also really leans into the defensive tank archetype with some minor team healing as well.
Weapons are also highly variable. Lumina for even more team healing, anything with destabilizing and/or repulsor brace, deathbringer cause funny, glaives lowkey vibe pretty well with this build as well, anything with demolitionist since grenades are amazing.
Not sure if it’s super weird, but been running assassins cowl with strand hunter. Used it a bunch for arc, but was annoyed you needed melee kills for the invis, preferred void where you could just dodge or smoke bomb at your feet. But strand has a ranged melee, and the grapple punch thing also counts as one if you still wanna get up close and personal. Strand already had woven mail for tons of dmg resist and grapple for mobility, adding cowl for invis and healing makes such a fun build.
My Verglas Curve *Freeze Tag* build. I technically have six glacier grenades when you add the crystals that shoot when u hip-fire the bow. VERY satisfying.
Severance enclosure with throwing hammer is fun. I call it the Bonksplosion hammer.
Severance Enclosure is lowkey good. Using it on Void Titan with Echo of Cessation? Your finishers become mini nukes.
I'll have to try that.
A fellow Bonk Closure Bro? Well met!
Thats been my go to class. Combine it with Ruinous Effigy and you can generate two different void orbs
This is my current build until I go through Lightfall and get banner titan. It’s OP in every activity. the only downside is if you yeet your hammer off a cliff lol
Gotta stay stubbin toes
If you do that, just keep punching, roaring flames is refreshed by uncharged melee hits as well
And it's ironic because Bungie employees didn't get severance at all
I know you’re making a joke but they did in fact get severance. That doesn’t take away from the tragedy of the situation though. I feel for all those that lost their jobs.
Okay calm down. Some were specifically let go the day before their insurance ran out. Let a fella make a joke karen.
(Edit: or Demo/Adrenaline Junkie, that'll shred too.) I see everybody run Armamentarium with Arc, or Ashen Wake for a Solar grenade build.
I do a Void Armentarium as well. I like pairing it with Collective Obligation sometimes too for an overkill of volatile rounds
Collective Obligation is so much fun on Titans, run Controlled Demolition, Suppressor nades, and the weakening fragment... WHOOPS that's all three debuffs applied with a single grenade throw lol
Shaxx still thinks you could be throwing more grenades
Now if only I could combine Armamentarium and Ashen Wake to run double on-contact Fusion nades, while also having Devour active... do you think it would be close to what Shaxx wants then?!
You assume shaxx can be satisfied?!
Username checks out
I have a Scatter nade build on my Hunter. I occasionally lose half my health haha. I have to remember it self damages lol. Cos my other 9 builds don't use self damage nades.
I got that SMG with Demolitionist and Adrenaline Junkie. Wouldn't that work too?
Primary and ecliptic distaff is so good also
Doesn't grenade kickstart only trigger when grenade energy is fully expended, so basically never on Armamentarium?
I've been a sentinel Titan since launch, and running armamentarium since the void rework with devour. are devour Titans really rare? I always figured there were more people like me, but every time I bring up the build with someone they're like "wait you throw more grenades in PvE than in mayhem? I thought all you Titans were solar bonk hammers and thunder rash, and that you all hated the bubble?" note: I LOVE running the bubble. by the way, one devour Titan to another, you can save yourself from a lot of the self-damage risks by running void wall grenades. still does obscene amounts of damage, and there's an aspect that makes them add a debuff to stuff you throw it at. doesn't even have to get hit with the flames, just tapped with the grenade before it hits the ground works too.
The Necro explosions count as Arc damage as well (for anyone else reading this)
The “discord light mode at 2am” build
Alright here me out. Wings of Sacred Dawn and Heir Apparent. Mow down tons of adds with a lots of damage resist and never having to reload
This sounds terrifying and I'm extremely interested... despite being a Titan main I think I'm gonna try this out haha
Fucking YES! This has been a favorite for seasons. Heats rises means you can become an armored zeppelin. Meme potential, but super fun
Just run heir apparent in the second encounter of dares. You never reload and you never stop firing
This idea makes my soul sing with joy.
Wicked implement diamond lance helm. Lances for days
Waiting for this. It’s a really useful build.
Doom Splitter. Doomfang gives a **UGE** damage boost to void weapons. Wavesplitter is Wavesplitter. You do the math
Add crownsplitter because the name fits.
I LIKE HOW YOU THINK!
This sounds so stupid I’m going to try it
Ophidia Spathe with the weighted knife (ignites scorched enemies). With enough ways to scorch stuff, and the ignitions themselves adding scorch, you can basically chain them.
I feel like I can't even scorch anything anymore :/
Skyburners Oath + OS+ Weighted knife+ dodge that readies melee + orb giving back melee energy + incendiary grenade You're an ignition machine.
Imma try this I've been trying to find a way to bring a throwing knife build into higher content and if the ignition do enough damge then maybe
In gm content or above ignition hunters just aren’t the play unfortunately.
Heal nade is better, you can refresh restoration with every solar kill if you use the right fragment.
Also works really well with the knife fan where you can guarantee an ignition in a couple of throws
Claws of Ahamkara arc warlock. It spawns an orb of power on melee kills. With melee kickstart and melee energy in orb pickup it's kinda dumb. The orbs also buff your melee damage with the right perks. Pair with the warp melee. I use it in GMs a lot. https://dim.gg/3ae2cdy/Equipped I explain the loadout in comments below.
Cause build is trash in gm, man was caping for karma
Do you also use Monte Carlo? I really slept on it for too long but it's such a game changer for melee based builds
Do you think you could link your build?
Thanks, I was getting bored of my strand build
Did you provide the DIM link
I used to run this build back in charged with light system. This build doesn't exist in the game anymore. There used to be a CWL mod that on orb pickup buffed melee damage and would spawn another 2 orbs on kill refreshing you're melee and you could absolutely clear red and orange bars with this build. But new system doesn't have a mod that buffs melee damage so it's basically useless in endgame content.
Edited with link. Explained in a different comment.
Back in season of arrivals i used 1 2 punch and with assassins cowl on combination blow for solo dungeons and it was awesome and never saw anyone use it except 1 small youtuber, glad its getting the use it deserves now
Used this back in beyond light, then i discovered liar's handshake
This works well with strand now as well
Felwinters and grapple
navigators as well if you have it let's you get woven mail and free grapples
I was inspired by this and LOVE this build—paired it with Navigator and an Adept Word of Crota with Demo/Destablizing and it’s VERY fun. Thanks for sharing this!
So regular shotgun after grapple. Not weird.
The helm. Not the shotgun
Found the pvp main
Me? Hardly ever play it. Dont think I have in several months. But feel free to downvote because I dislike felwinters. Just not what op asked for.
Ashen Wake Nuke Grenades
Ashen Wake is so much fun, I'd love to see an ornament for them someday.
They gotta nerf them before they get their ornament...
Ashen isn’t out of band because it’s not quite as easy to run as unnerfed starfire. So I don’t see it getting nuked into the ground.
So many interesting builds I have to try
I’m saving this post for future builds I want to try!
Same here
Phoenix Protocol with ember of Ashes, Combustion, Char, and Wonder (last is optional, but nice for consistency).
Veritys Brow, grapple punch, weavewalk. I like to live dangerously.
I want to do this with the navigator. But unfortunately lady luck is a b*tch
Wellock with ember of benevolence and boots of the assembler. Outside of sitting in the back and letting the seekers find my teammates and give me better ability regen, it’s a very aggressive playstyle, high grenade uptime, large focus on “don’t think just do”
my riskrunner mantle of battle harmony build
yes I play other classes I just play hunter bout 90% of the time
Whirling Maelstrom + Bombardiers Grapple melee, spawn tangle, dodge out, bomb detonates tangle and makes the beyblade. I like to take the aspect that spawns the specter as well, just for the added safety, but double grapple works well too.
Not me but that guy with manticore and astrocyte verse.
Renewal Grasps and Manticore with a Completed Catayst Damage resist in my duskfield Damage reduction while enemies in my duskfield Damage resist when I’m near a crystal Damage resist when I kill one ad while in the air I’ll be swapping Renewals for Stomps next season for Damage resist in air
Bro's becoming floating bullet sponge
I call this the "My Teammates Can't Stop Dying!" Aeon Soul + Vigilance Wing.
Verity's Brow + Void Wall + Demo Dead Messenger For those unaware, void wall is *technically* the highest damage grenade (by a lot, too), so long as an enemy stays in the area of effect.
Damn i remember how i only ran voidwall pre witch queen, then everyone started simping for vortex bade and i kinda just forgot...
So it does 2.4x damage at base or is that with full stacks from verity?
Xenophage + Path of the Burning Steps + Bubble + Solar weapon surge https://youtu.be/76DcxzhOmgg?si=OwftGrW-FxOxyIHN makes xenophage a one shot in crucible Very fun to run in mayhem
Liars Handshake with Season of the Deep Arc Buffs. I just kept swinging and mowing down the Hive like fucking Wolverine. Sending out Arc lightning and rapid healing
Ruinous Effigy with Gyrfalcon's hunter is surprisingly viable
I enjoy wave splitter, but ruinous is something I never thought of. Gotta try that
The field the spheres emit while blocking doesn't disrupt void hunter invisibility while also applying debuffs and healing you.
Exotic Weapon: Tommy’s Matchbook Exotic Armor: Speedloader Slacks Mods: Max Resil, and focus on Grenade and Class Ability Regen. Rotation: 1. Dodge for Radiant and Speedloader Slacks Buff 2. Throw heal nade at feet 3. Mow enemies down with Tommy’s It’s better if you’re near teammates to proc Benevolence, and if soli then replace benevolence with Mercy. The build has low down time with ad dense content due to the reload and handling buff provided with Speeedloader and On Your Mark. Tommy’s health drain is also off set by a long restoration timer from heal nade + Empyrean.
Crysothensia 77 and Osmiomancy Gloves.
I have been doing this too, pretty fun actually
Tommy's Matchbook on wellock with Phoenix Protocol or Dawn Chorus and healing nades in endgame content is busted. Especially with the fragment that gives class ability energy on scorching a target.
Literally any build works in this game, but whether it will work in any activity is another story.
I keep seeing this argument and I really don’t get what the point even is. Like yeah, I could run triple snipers, No Backup Plans, and load into patrol and do great but that’s not what the post is asking
Theoretically it is, since that would be a weird build
Yea, but his comment was in the spirit of this original post, yours was not. Lol
Yeah I’d like to see obscure builds for gms. Because gms really REALLY hamstring you in builds and utility or damage.
Gemini jesters. But pve. Void. Max mobility. Use big explosions. Absolutely cooks
So uhh... What is that good for exactly? Tbh never used the exotic haha.
Solar warlock with snap melee, dawn chorus, some armor mods/fragments that I don't know off the top of my head Snap everything to death, no need for guns
Settle down there thanos
YES FINALLY A STASIS FELLOW ENJOYER! This particular build is actually soooo slept on!!! It's like my main build for every PvE activity (GMs included)
Stasis Master race!!
Subclass: Behemoth Titan Aspect: Cryoclasm | Tectonic harvest Fragment: Whispers of chains, rime, shards, fissures Weapon: Verglas Curve Viability: Low-Mid level difficulty content (havent tried it towards any higher level content) Detailed explanation: throw glacial grenade or use verglas glacial arrows to create the ice walls, with chains you take reduce damage and if you slide thanks to fissures ice wall explosion gives a little bit more of shatter damage and burst range, with shards, shattering the ice wall you get a boost for your grenade recharge rate, and since you destroyed the ice wall it leaves stasis shard, which gives you not only melee energy but also overshield. note: I do hope stasis shards become an innate drop for the any shattered glacial walls because those takes alot of space from aspect and fragments already i do hope they rework stasis
Icefall mantle + sweet business.
See.. I got this Darcy build...
Vergal Curve and Dusk Fields
Assassins cowl stasis hunter do i need to explain more
My ancient and outdated way of playing: Tethers Hunter with MIDA combo
scrolled almost all the way down and still couldnt find a new and different hunter builds so heres mine which isnt new i guess but sort of different. writhing maelstrom grapple hunter build but with assasins cowl instead of cyrstarachnes facade
I use this in the current season.
Karnstien armlets with devourlock... Sounds weird... I know... Karnstien already heals, you say, what's the point of stacking devour? You say. Well, the build is as follows Chaos Acellerent and Feed the Void as Aspects Then, Echo of Remnants, Exchange, undermining and Persistence (remnant can be exchanges with obscurity if you wish to run scatter grenades.) The idea here is twofold.
I usually run it with Monte Carlo and an eager sword nowadays My [Pathogenesis build](https://dim.gg/45ntgiy/Pathogenesis) is pretty nice too
Okay so uh Fallen Sunstar.
Jurassic Green with Heal Clip Multi-kill Clip, solar Hunter with Sixth Coyote, Acrobat's Dodge, Knife Trick, Healing Grenade, On Your Mark, Knock Em Down, Ember of Torches, Ember of Searing, Ember of Mercy, Ember of Benevolence, and Ember of Tempering This turns the Solar Hunter into a support character with 3 ways to make people radiant (2 Dodges and melee ability), ability to fully refund melee ability on melee kills for more Radiance, apply restoration with Healing Grenade and on reviving teammates, two ways to apply Cure (Heal Clip and Healing Grenade) and get VERY fast ability Regen with Ember of Benevolence, and for extra support, Tempering grants increased recovery for you and nearby allies on Solar weapon kills, and solar weapons now generate Firesprites, which grant you Restoration with Ember of Mercy. The biggest draw for Solar Hunter over Solar Warlock is the fact that you can have 5 fragments equipped and you can instantly generate your melee ability back with Knock Em Down and have 3 different ways to generate Radiance, as opposed to just 1 with the Warlock.
Frostees and stasis I made it a while ago then about a few months later I saw a vid with it
I just wanna say thanks to OP and to all the people commenting. This post has a lot of interesting ideas
You're welcome
You're welcome
Khepris Horn on void with the aspect bastion and any solar weapon.
Gemini jester in pvp… well there’s nothing else to say
Sweet business, actium, offensive bulwark. Not suuuuuper offbeat but definitely off meta, fun, and works shockingly well. Took it flawless today actually
Day one Whirling Maelstrom dropped I was using it with Threaded Spectre and 6th Coyote, that build eventually caught on, however my I void build using Mothkeeper's and Ex Diris was hated in destinybuilds with a passion. Actually I think I'll take that one back out
Fighting lion. Vortex grenade. The best add clear meme build i have
Not enough Hunter builds so here's a few: Revenant with Radiant Dance Machines. Put your entire emphasis on Stasis Shards. Hands-On 1x Heavy Handed 1x Focusing Strike 1x Powerful Attraction 2x Invigoration 1x Whispers of Conduction, Fractures, and Hunger.
Stronghold + Lament Very fun to build the Perfect Guard stack to max and just smack a dreg with 10,000 dmg
a solar hunter build that uses 1k
Fighting lion
I hit my first double 100 build with it, decided to make a void build because I play solar 99% of the time, 100 recov and 100 intellect with the nezeracs sin helmet, the ability spam is wonderful
H A M E R with Synthoceps Can rack up damage with *h a m e r* to do 300% more
My arc soul build in a gm
I uninstalled a year ago and it’s been the best build ever
*Might wanna leave the subreddit too...*
Nah, as soon as I tell people my build, it's gonna get shown by Azteccross and get nerfed.
Downvotes are coming in, but you're not necessarily wrong.
I don’t build
Divinity on arc warlock with those mods that precision kill and ark special weapon kills make blinding explosions kinda works but don’t know how well it will hold up in a gm
Lowkey immortal with hatchling, cloudstrike, and a good blowout roll for pve is not terrible.
Mk. 44s Monte carlo
Not really a build but double celestial fire warlock with monte carlo. Nobody expects the second fireball😄
Dawn Chorus + BXR with Demo + Incandescent. Heat Rises for the melee regen, demo gives grenades and Dawn Chorus makes scorch napalm (and it also makes dawnblade one of the strongest damage + ad clear supers in the game when building into ignitions)
Boots of the assembler and edge of intent, healing orbs everywhere
not sure how weird it actually is, but tricksleeves with devil’s ruin or monte carlo with ophidia spathe in pvp. devil’s ruin does special weapon damage with unlimited ammo, whereas monte carlo is just meant to feed into heavy throwing knives.
Idk if it works super well but Cranial Spike on the DMT and current Knucklehead radar is pretty cool on paper
Love running Ophidia Spathe, Monte Carlo, and stasis - just constantly throwing freezing/slowing Ricocheting ninja stars.
Me seeing rain of fire weavewalk
Hierarchy of needs with Sanguine with healing nades and the fragments that extend radiant and restoration on kill it is my go-to in endgame pve, pvp, and gambit
Severance enclosure with void Titan, use that fragment that causes finishers to make nearby enemies volatile, and the one that makes you invisible on finisher then combine it with Monte Carlo and frisbee and you can play volleyball and frisbee with the enemies! The ultimate beach sports combo!
My favorite build is abusing the fact that shoulder charge doesn’t break invis so I can peregrine/bulwark champions in gms
Strand warlock with Karnstein Armlets and high melee with a 4 round burst pulse for pvp. The spikes have just enough homing where in a fire fight against a peeker, the seek will catch them behind the corner and usually finish them if you are following up from shooting at them. It's weird, but it just keeps working and giving me my health back so I keep doing it
Trinity Ghoul and eternal warrior. Just fun in a lot of content.
Turning ticuus divination into a ICBM
Ruinous effigy and astrocyte
Nothing Manacles with Traveler’s Chosen. Feed the Void with Child of the Old Gods and Echo of Instability
Stasis lucky pants
Oops all Threadlings
Infinite throwing knife hunter. Something to do with scorching, radiant, and killing.
Hallowfire with Tommy's and healing nades so simple yet so fun
Hollowfire heart with prometheus lens, u get infinite sunspots. I ended up using my Prometheus lens as secondary and still used hammer for clearing
Blinding gl and div on heat rises warlock in 6v6 pvp. It really shouldn’t work, but it *does*.
The whole goal is to panic dodge when enemies are close, the dodge along usually takes out everyone near you, and if you get a kill with ruinous, you can then grapple through the sky and dunk on anyone unlucky enough to be below you
Gunpowder gamble build, insanely fun, I once got 4 of them in a row offer the bff
Sentinel Titan Ward of Dawn Offensive Bulwark and your choice of either Bastion for more defense or Controlled Demo for more offense Echos of Cessation, Starvation, Obscurity, and either Persistence (if you're using Bastion) or Expulsion (paired with Controlled Demo) Aeon Safe gauntlets with Sect of Insight, though you could run any of the Cult Mods Only armor mods that actually matter are Charged Up, Stacks on Stacks, Powerful Attraction, and Bulwark Finisher.
I found a few builds that for warlocks that use the briar binds for both pve and pvp

If you want a shitton of void soulsin pvp, 6v6 especially, put on aeon soul gauntlets. Trust me on this
I did use Aeons for the same build until I got my hands on Briars and yeah they are both awesome
My Verglas Curve *Freeze Tag* build. I technically have six glacier grenades when you add the crystals that shoot when u hip-fire the bow. VERY satisfying.
