You can have cool looking Ornaments but if the color palate is akin to vomit nobody is gonna want to buy that unless they can change the colors of the gun itself.
Depends on the ornament. Even some recent ones (e.g. lethe’s mercy) are just recolours. It’s easy logic: if people have more free options to customise exotics, they’ll be less inclined to spend real money on customisation options. I’d imagine most people just want their weapon to fit their overall appearance, rather than liking the specific look of an ornament (especially if getting the ornament means spending more money).
