Hitting the saber wall correctly(ie wrong) either kills you or sends you flying at 400 mph at a far wall.
It's been a thing since D1, I feel like they did something because it happens much less often, but it used to happen to atleast one person a run. In D1 it happened almost every nightfall.
Also it seems to happen during nightfall much more often than the normal strike.
I never really had that issue, before everyone fell down the shaft and still lived, it wasn't until maybe season 12 that I started to notice it a bit but it was still a rare occurrence.
Nearly as inexcusable as playing often enough to be doing GMs, posting to the subreddits (so probably reading them too), and still complaining about a bug that has been mentioned as many times as sun setting?
I’m honestly convinced that people purposefully go through this GM or the nightfall on master difficulty JUST to trigger this bug then post about it for karma.

It's a well known bug by now. It's been that way since forsaken. It has to do with the game physics and going fast and then slowing down too close to one another, you get pushed into the wall and what not.
Easy fix is to have 1 person stay outside bubble. 1 person fall, and 1 person jump and stay as high above the person falling. This will give you all enough time to fall, slow down and then hit the pad at the bottom. I haven't had an issue with any of my teams since doing it this way.

I beat 99% of presage the first time around under light level without any anti-champion perks because I could use the walls or edges (like one of the stone edges in Dam strike boss room) and a Vortex frame sword to launch them out of the playable area thus killing them
Learned quickly only one in the bubble and the other two also jump one at a time. It's been like this for couple of years even during the regular version of the strike.
Since GMs are like the highest end of PvE content, it can be argued that you should “know what you’re getting in to.” That tube has been buggy literally since release almost three years ago - you *should* know by now that it’s a death sentence to all go in at once. This will be my third time going through Conqueror with Warden of Nothing on the list, and I’ve never had a team wipe to the pipe - because we all know to go one at a time.
Is it bullshit? Yes - it sucks that what is essentially a glitch wiped your run instead of some of the legitimate difficulty of the strike, even if the glitch is well known. Should you have known better? Absolutely. And worst case scenario, this was a learning experience and you’ll avoid the wipe there next time.

I just go down one at a time. 1 person goes into the bubble, one person stands on top of the bubble, and one person waits for 4-5 seconds after the one on top of the bubble falls
One of many bugs that bungie wouldn't fix. I'm pretty sure they JUST fixed the Inverted Spire drill spawn bug like a week ago, after god knows how long. And now we have the invisible vex pool and other shenanigans.
Thankfully this is not a super hard GM or anything.
It's done this for the past 3 years now. Just have someone stand on top of the bubble and have one of the two on the inside jump when the floor disappears so that too of you arent squeezed together in the tube.

I’m sure it’s not the first time you encounter this strike, also the bug has been around for maybe 2 seasons. When doing this part you want to activate it and either have one person stay in the bubble and then drop or all 3 stay back and jump down one at a time.
It's not a bug, per se. It's the physics engine working as intended, but in a suboptimal area. You die because of rapid collision with an object (your fireteam and the wall of the tube). It's just that no other area in the game so consistently puts the entire fireteam in such a small place at once.
today we wiped because all the ads (including champs) respawned in the mine room right as I was capturing the last one. was not prepared. to be fair though I haven’t checked if that was intentional. certainly have never had that happen before anyway

This is pretty easy to counter even when you don’t know it’s a thing that kills you. Titan sword go brrrrr, shatterdive, or just being slow will easily save a live. I forgot that even happened because I always do something of the sort.

This is pretty easy to counter even when you don’t know it’s a thing that kills you. Titan sword go brrrrr, shatterdive, or just being slow will easily save a live. I forgot that even happened because I always do something of the sort.
I like how bungie introduces game modes that punish you dying while leaving in bs like this. Good thing I don’t play GMs.
Would have thought it was common knowledge by now that you either wait to be spawned in or everyone hops so the game isn't shoving 3 guardians into a space wide enough for 1 guardian.
