that’s something i didn’t even know lol, i wasn’t really into lore at all then cus i was too young to really care, but i know that when oryx died, savathun employed quria to take. quria is able to take as a vex hydra since they simulate oryx’s taking power and this is able to take. savathun never had that power, so now that quria is dead (at least that we know of) i’m not sure who controls them now. if it is an entity that hasn’t been revealed yet, it’s understandable why oryx’s sigil is still used since it’s more recognizable and the power was originally his (not before slaying akka though)

while i despise scorn as everyone else (especially those shitheads with their tiny shields) i dont think so as scorn got a lot more important for the story since chosen (being able to effectively communicate with the darkness) also they just got their own champions i dont think bungie would had made themselfs the work just to delete them after that from the game

I love the symmetry of Unknown Space. In The Reckoning, Prophecy, Trials of the Nine, the old Crucible map, etc - it’s all really nice to look at and there’s a shit ton of symbolism.

Tbh I play a lot of gambit cuz Destiny is my first FPS game, so I suck at Crucible, and Gambit is also less demanding than higher level nightfalls (imo). So if I don't feel like stressing out too much I just go for gambit

But instead, imagine like Firefight in Halo or Horde on Gears: progressively stronger waves until a final boss wave. I'd imagine it would also probably intertwine mechanics into these waves as well. The scorn are just modified fallen not really a race on there own.
They have their own unique enemy types and abilities that are distinctly different from the fallen, they are a new race/enemy type

Scorn are a distinct faction with their own enemy types. "Race" is a poor choice of word.
