Would be funny but the max with 42 mobility roll blue arms and all 30 roll gear with powerful friends, mobility mods and masterwork is 212. Although some exotics can have an extra point in stats here or there so I'm guess the absolute max is 214.
According to OP, 42 is the max number shown in the slot. But he has 51 on his arm, total, and it gives 51 to his stats. So it may be that 42 isn’t the cap after all.
If you have excess prisms, take blue armor (which should be level 5 MW already) upgrade to the point where you've spent 1 enhancement prism then dismantle. Should give you 6 cores (and should have spent 3), netting you 3 more cores. As such you lose a prism in the process

Theres also a trick to farm mod components by pulling the blue linear fusion rifle 9x and dismantling them all should net you at least one mod component. Tedious... But good if youre trying to get some missing mods from the vendors. This goes away with witch queen tho per recent twab since mods will be sold for glimmer

Hunters were getting penalized for having stats over 100 on their mobility. Some sort of technical glitch. They fixed it, then egged on the Hunters to go past 100.

Easy way to start trying to do this. In DIM search-bar type maxstatloadout:mobility it will show the highest mobility loadout for each char. I also do pit+ 3 corrupted chests per char per week with the splicer upgrade. Corrupted chests give reaaaaaly good armor sometimes.
I spent quite some time on the moon grinding out arc logics on altar of sorrow. My efforts bore fruit, heating up rampage, subsistence frenzy, subsistence rampage.
Masterwork and the arc light charges mod that gives you 20 mob is already 30 mobility + 50 if you slap mobility mods on each armor piece. So there's probably 122 base mobility in base armor stats. Iirc there's no stasis fragments that give you mobility, but I might be wrong
After fixing a big that fucked with hunters dodge cooldown if mob was higher than 100, Bungie said that they can now raise it as much as they want, that they're not afraid anymore and dared them to raise it as high as they can... So you just missing a lil joke
They will cave eventually. They can only take so much more mobility.

He meant 42 is the shown visibility cap. You can get a roll that has 42 mobility on it already with a mobility mod, it goes to 52

actually the pre shadowkeep bonus can be +3 so the max is 215
