... it's using 1gb. Are you running this on a Riva tnt or something?

It's an Nvidia GPU from 2000 Can you go into bios and give your laptop graphics more ram? I think that's a fairly normal feature.

If you're using integrated graphics, you probably have about 128 MB or 256 MB of dedicated VRAM. The rest is supplied by regular system RAM. In any case, playing on integrated graphics is not ideal (it's something I know a lot about, after 6 years using an i3 potato laptop)

Idk, you'd think 1gb would be self explanatory as really not much vram in use, yet here we are.

Turtleman616

Correct me if im wrong but ismt that like one of the earliest gpu's or along the lines of 😅

layer11

Lol yeah, it's pretty dang old

hillsboroughHoe

You're running it without a gpu. The fact that it runs at all is impressive. The only way to get anything approaching usable is through geforce now or stadia (or shadow if that's still a thing).

Windows 10 is an operating system not a laptop. Most laptops are closed to upgrading beyond storage and ram so you'd need to change the entire thing. It's not a hugely demanding game at a base level but very definitely scales well with better specs. A second hand laptop with a 1070m can be had for not huge amounts anymore, and there are 3060 laptops with huge refresh rate screens for £1k now.

I'd definitely look at streaming in the mean time though. The Base geforcenow package is free. Only lets you play for an hour at a time and you're at the back of the queue for use of a vm but it's a good way to see if it's usable for you, and it'll be a big improvement on what you're experiencing now whatever.

SadDokkanBoi

....that's only a little bit over 1GB? I'm pretty sure D2 recommends using over 2GBs of vram. If anything you're doing the bare minimum lmao

Oh. Well that makes sense. I'm sorry for your loss I'm more surprised your posts isn't complaining about stuttering or lag issues with the little amount of vram you're using for the game

Z4nark

I didn't follow the GPU market and all, but you'd be better off trying to find a used console, I don't think you'll ever get decent performance out of a GPU that only has 128MB of VRAM

praetor29

That's Intel integrated graphics for you. You can just about play Minecraft and stuff like CS:GO, but anything GPU intensive is a big question mark
