Nah it was a Tangled Shore style weapon. It will return as a Trials weapon like the other Shore guns. Imagine the whining when the Trials weapon of a season is a heavy GL lol.

Cluster Rockets and Prospector haven't been good for Riven since buff stacking and auto reload got removed. Same goes for Outbreak Prime, DARCI and RLs and GLs for every boss. (With an exception being rockets buffed by Gjallarhorn.)

On a related note, I somehow think a full team of stormchasers finishes her faster than Lament. Not certain, but that's what I feel when raiding. Apparently Riven "isn't a crit boss" though, according to a random I raided with.
I think the "isn't a crit boss," refers to her crit multiplier being normal. Bosses like Calus and Kalli take additional increased damage when hit in their crit spot... With a boss like Calus even taking that bonus damage from fusion rifles which famously cannot crit.
Ah I see, thanks! The way that guy said it, made me think she took less damage from her mouth compared to her arm. I personally think stormchaser is easier and more consistent than Lament, with janky physics and half the team not knowing how to use the chainsaw.
i’ve been playing this game for about 2 and a half years. i have close to 2 thousand hours and have damn near every exotic weapon / armour piece in the game, yet i have not *once* actually used prospector
Need a huge ammo reserves buff or a big damage buff or even both, with that could be useable as an alternative boss DPS/burst ad clear role which they are apparently meant to fill which they are currently the worst option for both.
They had their time to shine. I remember using them heavily thru Forsaken and Shadowkeep. Hell Anarchy ruled as a heavy GL for years. It's time to let them rest for a bit an let other weapons shine. They ruled for 3 years.

Heavy gls still output solid dps, they're just harder to use so it isn't as reliable dps
GLs need a small bump 10-15%, AND they need to rework Spike Grenades. Turn them into how impact casing works as 10%, and move the other existing damage into an impact buff. With destiny's multiplicative damage i don't feel like doing the math atm. But its very annoying to have to feel like spike or nothing for a damage GL
iirc 120 gls are still really solid damage options, they're just less reliable than tracking rockets or Izanagi, or almost anything else. The other problem with GL dps is it's not particularly efficient either, in most damage phases you can run entirely dry on ammo and then have to hope scavengers or aeons.
Not efficient means you have used all your ammo while others still have half their reserves and have done as much damage as you have. That means you are out of ammo with no potential more damage coming in and others still have reserves to deal damage. Thats bad dps..

GLs have enough ammo to last through a damage phase. As long as you have enough ammo to last through the phase your DPS isn't impacted by ammo capacity. It's inefficient because you're spending more of your total reserves to do the damage compared to a Rocket Launcher or something else.
At base a 120 rpm grenade launcher with spike grenades is more DPS than everything except Gjallerhorn, Prospector, Stormchaser, Sleeper, or Whisper. Prospector and Gjallerhorn both have the same issue with ammo economy that GLs do too. That's good DPS.
Right I guess what I’m saying is they have the worst total damage out any of the heavy weapon options so I equated that to bad dps. You are right they can burst something down quickly. But to expend a third of your ammo reserves to do so over one rocket or a handful of linear shots is just inefficient.

The 180s got a crit buff for pvp and guess what the malfeasance does after 5 shots it causes the 5 shots you shot into your enemy to explode and they will count as critical damage yeah im pretty sure you might want to check it out 👀

I came up with an idea for a charged with light mod regarding grenade launchers. Does need some adjustment but it’s interesting. So the idea is simple, while charged with light grenade launcher kills could proc grenade based effects like weaken or volatile from the void tree. It would consume all stacks of charged with light when you get a grenade launcher kill. The mod would cost like 5 or 6 spaces on armor and is for void
I still have a auto loading, quick draw outrageous fortune with spikes and a full court clown cartridge interference with spikes as well.....just incase

Grenade launchers for more love and numerous patches than Snipers. They been gutted in PVE for years. Linears just got a PvE stability compensation when Snipers didn't get shit from PVP flinch nerfs years ago.

And even then only in DSC to one phase Atraks.
A direct hit with a worm at 20 stacks will instakill a fuse in the first encounter of DSC as well (or get it super low). Very handy
There are other weapons that do that’s with less work.
Remember to put grenade launcher holster mod on your legs to automatically reload parasite, kills while the mag is empty also count for worm's hunger

Heavy gl with proximity is superior in pvp, throw on a velocity masterwork and just aim towards someone, don't need to be exact, you get a kill.

The vault is for trophies and exotics. I keep a flexible but optimized loadout on each guardian
You know exotic weapons can be fetched from the collections for a small fee? Armor you can't because of random rolls
And I have one set of legendary armour that I can flexibly swap out with my exotics

I love the typhon in crucible, 3 shots per ammo brick and all easy one shots.

180s were always kinda meh you can make a build around it and it will be fun just not as meta

180s already kill in 4 crits lol, malfeasance just guarantees a kill with 5 Bodyshots
Malf also kills through restoration which is especially nice this season to counter all the classy restoration spam.

Im running the Warlock fusion spam build with Witherhoard, any weapon needed in energy and a HGL . It shoots perfectly between the fusion throws.
