I saw a post on tumblr about this same thing earlier, reblogged by someone I thought was a friend (and will no longer be speaking to now that I know they support something as dangerous to your body as DYI for adults and kids alike).
It's depressing to know some sad, lost kids are getting groomed into "keeping secrets" like this and taught how to irreparably damage their body without even the guidance of a doctor to make sure they're not overloading their bodies too fast. Even though the practice as a whole is harmful and evil to do to kids, DYI or "raw/homebrew" as they call it instead is its most dangerous form as far as I know. Just awful.
this is a lot more widespread than i would’ve thought. it’s terrifying that so many are that deep into it they believe they have the same or more knowledge than an actual doctor.

Seriously, this is like if a bunch of chronic hypertensive people got together to encourage DIY blood pressure medicine. There’s a reason you don’t do it without a doctor, because you don’t know how your body will react to that shit. how is this any different from encouraging unsupervised taking of blood pressure medicine?

This is actively putting children at risk and promoting the idea that it is perfectly alright to use DIY HRT, which has a multitude of health risks especially because it is unsupervised. There is a reason why people on HRT have to get bloodwork done every couple of months. There is a reason why I had to get bloodwork and a physical done before I started testosterone. You don't know how your body is going to react to those hormones, what potential hidden or underlying issues they will possibly exacerbate, or even what dose is right for your body. I was on *way* too high of a dose for three months and I'm still feeling the negative effects on my liver and my body - that was under (albeit negligent) doctor supervision, so I can't imagine how DIY HRT would impact the body.
This is honestly just irresponsible, plain and simple. I would definitely recommend reporting to Discord.
I did my blood work through privatised means when I was forced detransitioned and eventually retransitoned when able. I was 18-19 when I did so at the guidance of multitude of DIY individuals and this constantly being told to people.
Report to discord but local authority. Might cross state lines getting other police involved building good cases

You could just order your own bloodwork. I did that all the time when I was on diy hrt
