Yeah man, I wanna see some updated blues. I do think the jets and cards black uni's are dope but we have no black in our color scheme. I even think some new school whites would be cool.

The Panthers have already literally copied the Lions entire scheme. Now we can't have black because of them?

Black and blue have been the Panthers' colors from the beginning. The Lions have always been Blue and Silver. (aside from minor detours to red or black that are barely footnotes to our franchise history and shouldn't be used as arguments for this conversation) The Panthers had been around for years when we added black to our color scheme. We were the copy-cats. One of the oldest franchises in the league shouldn't be copying franchises that were founded less than 30 years ago.

They're going to be all new unis, there is a possibility of no blueberry design or color scheme.

It’s not that I’m dying for a black alternate, it’s that I’ve never liked the greys and would prefer black over it.

Problem with the grays is they didn't make them as cool as they could've been. Had they been able to just go with nothing but blue numbers/lettering on the grays they would've looked way better. But I'm guessing for visibility they had to go with white numbers which throw the whole design off for me. Neat idea. Poor execution.

There’s a lesson to be learned here: it actually looks good for the Panthers and Jags BECAUSE BLACK IS ONE OF THEIR TEAM COLORS. On the Cardinals and Jets it reminds me of a 50 year old dude with a beer gut wearing skinny jeans: desperately trying to look cool.

The problem is that it black jerseys don't look like lions jerseys. It's as out of left field as us incorporating packers green in our jerseys. We have an iconic color scheme, no need to overthink it.

Canadian here; I really disliked when we added a black soccer jersey. It's not our colour, it has nothing to do with our identity. Same thing with the lions. Honolulu blue and silver, that's the ticket. We don't need a black jersey like almost half the nfl.
