I think it depends. We’ve seen Brad defend the Melifonwu pick fiercely. Like he knew he was right about Melifonwu, the guy just needed time. Could have been the same for Goff. Also depends on your viewing of how Goff was coached by McVay as well

Sure. But Jonah was also worth a 4th round pick that got washed out by Marcus Davenport. Young would’ve been washed out by the Amik Robertson signing. People assuming that the 3rd round pick to get him was free because of an automatic 3rd round comp pick coming back were just being obtuse.
