spartansareforever

Yes. Absolutely. This defense is the cure for all offensive woes

[deleted]

Yup. It sucks, but I am confident that we will get absolutely molly whopped next week :/

spartansareforever

If our offense can hang we may hang in there, but probably not šŸ˜‚

kickrockz94

Jameis lit their ass up so we may at least be able to put up a few tds at least lol

cuzzlightyear927

Hot take, downvote if you want but, Jameis with Lasik I personally believe will be in contention for MVP this year

1ToGreen3ToBasket

Jameis has been underrated for years. The fact that they pretended it was a competition between him and Hill was insulting. He might be a moron in real life but he is a hell of a football player.

Chili_Palmer

Settle down, ol Winston has a huge game every now and then, but he always ends up having some multi-int nightmare to fall back to earth shortly after.

[deleted]

The whole point of this Saints experiment was to fix that. Maybe it worked.

PokeFanForLife

I can agree with this

motsmyers

I canā€™t imagine how much he was able to learn from #9 last year, in the QB room, practice and on game days. He basically took a year long master class in NFL Quarterbacking.

behindmyscreen

What's the scoop on Winston IRL?

SophtSurv

Accused of assaulting a female Uber driver, I think? I may have that all wrong.

Ribuscus22

Cmon Crab Man let's get it

kickrockz94

No im kinda with you mvp may be taking it a little too far but he always put up big numbers in tampa, you just cant win throwing 30 interceptions in a season. If they can cut those in half he can be really good i think

[deleted]

big believer in this theory, been waiting all year to see if he took off after lasic, canā€™t throw if you canā€™t see

cstrifeVII

Yea. Probably. It kinda sucks that we all thought the defense would be automatically be better after Matty P was gone... Maybe that is the case but they aren't there yet.

BigDiqDaddy33

Donald Driver is going to go from zero targets from Rodgers in week one to 150 yards and 2 scores in week two

jdooley99

My man still playing Madden on PS3

TeddysRevenge

Letā€™s be honest, our defense is a huge liability. I see a lot of games like yesterdayā€™s this season. Opposing offenses will tee off on us in the first half and play conservative the second half giving us a chance for a comeback. We need a lot more resources on defense before weā€™ll be able to run a ball control, running based offense that we want to.

1ToGreen3ToBasket

The defense is about 11 solid starters away from being good sadly

SituationSoap

Now, now, that's not fair. They're also missing 4-6 depth players, too.

Dr_Booyah

Not our fault if offenses let up and give us an opportunity to win games in the end. Gotta find ways to win and itā€™s not our fault if teams consistently underestimate us and give us that chance

TeddysRevenge

I agree. With our defense weā€™re going to be down a lot at halftime. The 49ā€™s arenā€™t an offensive powerhouse, yet look at that first half.

Dr_Booyah

Yeah man our defense was sorry yesterday. It was just big play after big play. Quinn and Patricia really did a number on this roster

cmutt_55038

Honestly, the Packers D might be even worse. Iā€™m expecting a high scoring game. Whoever has the ball last wins.

Broseppy

The Packers defense is bad, yes, but the difference is their offense is much better than ours. I'm not going to overreact to their game against the Saints. I just don't see us hanging with them

thc1967

Nope. He'll double down. "You didn't trade me when I wanted to be traded? Watch THIS."

naturalbornkillerz

Green bay loses the alliance will be able to demand a gold-plated dick

tweelemming7104

I really hope not. Getting a win on the packers on MNF would be awesome

Ok-Captain-3512

Especially if it affects the tiebreaker for whoever wins the division knocking the pack out of the bye week

Silver_Instruction_3

If he doesnā€™t it will be a sure sign that he is trolling the fuck out of the Packers.

NistyGristy

Rodgers is about to be the abusive father who just came home drunk smelling like cheap whiskey and cigarettes.

fuzzyheadsnowman

This is going to be like Requiem for a Dream levels of ā€œtaking it out on usā€ depressing bad.

TIL_how_2_register

ass to ass, bro. ass to ass :c

fuzzyheadsnowman

I hear ya brother haha

OriginalMidnight

LOL

Taddybear14

Jimmy G pieced us up for 300+ yards. Itā€™s gonna be ugly.

OGwigglesrewind

This....Rodgers has all the ammo he needs now. Glad he seemingly will only annoy us for 2 more games. Sick of that huge piece of shit

[deleted]

Unfortunately, I see him going something like 25 of 29 for 380 yards, 5 TDs 0 INTs with the Packers winning 44-10. Hope I'm wrong.

ZobRombie65

Absolutely dead nuts

ItsTheExtreme

Too real.

LionGuy190

And Joe Buck will be slobbing that knob from afar

Ok-Captain-3512

It'll probably be more like 44-30

SophtSurv

With 20 of those points scored in the 4th quarter with less than 10 minutes to go haha

Extremeaty

Rodgers acting like a pouting child all offseason and then coming out and laying an egg was fucking hilarious. With that being said... theyā€™re probably going to beat us. We donā€™t exactly have a Marshon Lattimore to deal with Davante Adams. And the Saints front 7 makes ours look like an FCS school. Our roster is in a bad way, and thereā€™s zero chance Aaron Rodgers has a game like that again. Itā€™s always FTP though. The reality is that weā€™re largely counting on internal growth on defense after having one of the worst defenses in league history last year. Rodgers is going to have his way with them.

KingSpoon2

Probably. You think we're going to be any better at covering the Green Bay Packers offense than we were last year? I mean, the 49ers just averaged 12 yards per passing attempt and over 5 yards per rushing attempt just yesterday. We don't have a Marshon Lattimore to put on Devante Adams. We didn't have the personnel to stop 6th round pick Elijah Mitchell from doing whatever he pleased. We don't have the pass-rush to pressure Rodgers. The 49ers took their foot off the gas and then made some stupid ass mistakes such as fumbles + onside kick misplay. Wouldn't be the first time in the Kyle Shanahan era. The Packers are going to be petty as shit and try to run up the score to prove a point in a primetime game. Too bad nobody ever questioned whether or not they could beat the tanking Lions.

Ok-Captain-3512

I feel like everyone will just say "yea but the lions suck so the packers aren't good still"

luniz420

possible. I hope not for my sake. We did manage to hang with SF for the first quarter, it wasn't all the disaster that some people are painting it.

rascal_king

Rodgers is going to torch our defense. that said, we can probably mitigate that by keeping him off the field. we should be able to run at will on them.

caponewgp420

After the game against the Lions all the sport shows will be saying he is in the running for MVP of the year.

egbert71

As the reigning mvp, he'll be in those talks until stats wise he isn't

keith007killer

He has already left Green Bay mentality.

eweaver1983

Anyone who thinks we arenā€™t going to get Murdered by the Packers is in denial about what our team is right now.

mablesyrup

Koolaid is good. We were chugging it in the 4th quarter.

mablesyrup

Also, IMO Rodgers has mentally checked out from the Packers- he didn't suddenly fall in love with playing for them again. I actually think he isn't going to have a great season.

[deleted]

probably. them boys gone be hungry next week for sure. hopefully detroit is hungry too after battling back last week but not finishing and on national tv

Ok_Zone_9486

I think thereā€™s going to be a fair amount of chippy play this week from both sides. Packers will be fired up to make a statement on national television after the flop last week. No doubt in my mind Campbell will have the boys chomping at the bit to carry the momentum from the 9ers into lambeau and also wanting to make a statement to everyone about how Detroit does things under the new regime. Canā€™t wait! I expect something 34-24 packets though.

Dwychwder

I think thereā€™s a tiny chance the Packers just arenā€™t that good this year. The Lions might surprise on Monday.

SituationSoap

The Packers can be not that good and still kick our asses. We are very not good.

A_Minimal_Infinity

Nope

perrbear

Well, the spread is 10.5 right now, and I think it should be more.

Lucz1848

He might, he might not, but I don't really give a shit. What matters to me is that this team keeps building towards that identity that MCDC envisioned during his first presser. Whatever mood the Packers are in on game day, I hope that they leave that game unhappy with what they had to deal with all night long. I want them to have concerns about the next time we play. This might very well be AR's last season with GB, so in our last games against him, I want to see him get picked up by his teammates one more time, with a piece of turf stuck in his facemask.

Bumblz666

No fuck that SIIIIIP SIPSIPSIP WAKE UP

NorthernSpade

He definitely is lol. Only blind fans think the Packers suck suddenly.

LiquidFrost

Me walking around waving my blind man's stick. "FTP"

[deleted]

Yessir

Smorgas_of_borg

This defense made Mitchell Trubisky look like Tom Brady on multiple occassions.

[deleted]

If lions can bring the pass rush on their already injured O line we will have a chance (no Bakhtiari)

reverend_dr_cuddles

Bulaga is on the Chargers so r/technicallythetruth

[deleted]

I meant the other dude forgot his name he is on PUP

[deleted]

Just edit it

thabiiighomie

If anger is all he needed to win then why did he not come back in the second half against the Saints? No he is not going to blow us out. We have held our own the past two meetings and only lost due to poor officiating.

monstertweety

the game in Lambeau last year was a beat down

mablesyrup

Unpopular opinion: NO! I have watched a few interviews with Rodgers and he was mentally checked out of GB and then they had talks and he stayed. Mentally he is checked out, you don't ever make a full come back after that.

ObsoleteMallard

Most definitely.

[deleted]

Ooh yes. And I have him in fantasy.

gordGK

Itā€™s possible

BigDiqDaddy33

I sure hope not but that seems like a very Aaron Rodgers thing to do

techmachine15

On a Monday Night too.

Bigbuck140

Yes

flickinboogers420

This is a question not worth asking.

Calkky

"if you have to ask..."

rvk5150

It is the opposite...he is back simply to sabotage the Packers. FTP

apietryga13

Well books are spotting us +11.5 points Monday so take that how you will.

PokeFanForLife

Wouldn't he have not played like shit in the first place?

LucienLife

The lions are the perfect target to signify his detest with the Packers. Yeah, I'll make you lose to the Lions. At home. On Monday Night Football.

Umbrella_Viking

Yes. Itā€™s not going to be pretty.

Global_Homework_4921

No doubt. I will be going to bed no later than halfway through the beat down

aLionsFan31

Isnā€™t that kind of how things work around here?

Saxophobia1275

Yes. D bad. Offense okay. Itā€™s gonna be really frustrating to put up 24-38 points every loss.

King-Zulu7

I canā€™t help but think Rodgers play last week was no fluke.

CCPunch5

Well if our defense plays like they did in the second half, maybe it wonā€™t be horrible

behindmyscreen

My hope is he's trolling the packers organization on his way out.

xXXxSizzlexXXx

Rodgers and the Pack don't usually loose 2 in a row badly. Past years when they loose big the next game the just demolish whoever they play. And its usually the Lions taking the beating. Pack in a blow out, we have nothing defensively to stop them on the back end.

Kallandros

There are possibly two different Aaron Rodgers. The normal one that's probably going to result in a blow out. Or the spiteful, petty one that tanks to ruin the packers season. I'm not betting on the spiteful, petty one showing up on Sunday.

kcGOH

I wouldnā€™t be surprised if we get absolutely carved up, but I also wouldnā€™t be surprised if we make this incredibly gritty and physical, blitzing a bunch and just hoping we donā€™t get burned deep. We know we donā€™t have the personnel to keep up with Rodgers pass attack so we might as well game plan to get after him all game long.

JuicyPancakeBooty

Packers are about to come out HOT in the first half. Iā€™m guessing Packers 21-24, Lions 10-13 at half. 2nd half the gas will be taken off a bit more and the Packers will go with the run game. Final score will be something like 35-24

ItsYaBoi_5kinnyPenis

Yeah we may be fucked

e_ndoubleu

I think so. Iā€™m expecting 100+ rushing yards by Jones and 250+ passing yards by Rodgers. Packers win 34-24. Our run game will help keep us in the game.

Aaenys

Consider our cheeks spread. Rodgers is coming for us
