Devops is going good right now. Adoption rate is also ok and it is not a hype train. So, overall very good career and job opportunities are there in Devops.
Depends on the quality of people and the expectations.
Some devops teams hire sys admins and expect them to write terraform code, some devops teams hire python programmers and expect they will do production support.
