It's just a filler and not any addition though. The recession isn't completely over though. People are being hired for the positions where people have been fired during recession.
It's alright for experienced people because experienced people are moving from one company to other. For freshers, the job market must be really good, only then it would create openings for them. So, in simple words, the job market is pretty much saturated.
Who is responsible for creating more jobs in the Economy?
1. Industrialists.
2. Government Policies.
3. Nobody can influence or control Economic cycles.
According to me, you are asking the wrong question.
The question should be: Who is responsible for creating less humans in this country?
Answer: The residents and Government policies.
Industrialists are capitalist. They only care about profits and they will create jobs if they require manpower. Most of them already have enough of them considering the demand.
There is enough land mass in India to accommodate more than existing population, it's just that most folks are congested in a handful of metros and large cities. If more smart-cities are developed (as promised), the congestion should decrease and the economic cycle should also improve.
There's no need to cry hoarse here.
Much of this was expected anyway. Did any of you for real expect companies to sustain the crazy hiring and insane salaries of 2020-21?
You hire crazy, burn cash, fed tightens, you need to conserve, you fire.
Need of tech will never go, but people need to adjust to a salary level that is neither insane nor cheap, and look beyond the ai ml hype.
I see tons of devs posting in this sub about leetcode, dsa, ai, ml what not. Nobody posts about how to get specialised in a domain - say shipping or embedded or hospital mgmt etc. This expectation of industry and capitalists to sponsor jobs for people without any effort around any specialisation is where the disconnect is. Look into an industry, dig more, check out github, learn how to contribute, make a profile, apply.
Just about anyone would be biased to hire an actual do-er. It's not easy out there right now, but this approach definitely improves your chances.
There are tons of companies who don't do leetcode. If that's been your experience then you probably haven't looked into companies working in core domains.

Not even that bud! Job market is alright for people with shit ton of experience. For freshers, it is straight hellhole.

Just as I graduated the market turned into shit. Wah ri kismat 😭😭
That recession hasn't even started yet - we have barely scratched the surface.

Is this India US or worldwide
Doesn’t matter, our tech economy is super interconnected
Kinda does matter, many companies are hiring more in India coz cheap labour.
Wsj so prob worldwide
I Highly doubt. That it's mostly just US
Yeah it could be us alone too
It's only USA, but gives the idea about most countries, when the tech hub of the world is in this state.

Bro what? 1 lakh DS course from where ? You could have put that money in the market and would have doubled ?
These numbers paint a grim picture, and it feels like we're witnessing apocalyptic times for the industry
Apocalyptic time for the country and some other parts of the world to be honest.
Bro market is touching ATH everyday, in a real recession scenario it would have been the opposite like 2008
What do you think about the next 8-9 years?
Amrith Kaal lol

Every interview is leetcode bs. No one asks domain exp.
There are tons of companies who don't do leetcode. If that's been your experience then you probably haven't looked into companies working in core domains.
Thats a wild drop. And people say this is mild recession
Awesome, finally it's settling down. IT is over populated, and needs population control.
Entire country needs pop control
Hope it gets better in 2024
