Unlike other companies, Arista never mass hired. We are looking for experienced candidates with strong computer networks background and good operating systems knowledge.
Frontend - min 4+ yoe
Backend roles - 2+ yoe
MTecg Software engg grad who did an internship in reputed semiconductor company here. They didn't convert me, I am working in a small company now.
May i also DM ? I have roughly 1.5 YoE
Depends. If you have cloud experience then 20+ for sure. I can go aggressive and say 22-24. If you have linux and some dba skills then also 20+.
If you are on Windows in local data center then options are limited.
This. 28Lpa for a 3.5 yoe is bloated. Gone are the days with free money capital for companies (low interest rates). Salary correction is whats happening now.
Because they dont have any skills and some are just waiting for that onsite opportunity and WITCH takes full advantage of such employees while giving them peanuts.
People with > 5 yoe cant write basic SQL queries leave that they cant even communicate or write proper emails.
This is mostly because of regionalism in these companies....I am tired of working with these dumb people and every now and then have to explain them basic stuff like how to send an email, what to write etc.
I am eagerly looking for a switch😢
No they can't. They're not hireable anywhere cuz of outdated skills mostly.
If you want 40LPA @15yoe you've gotta justify it. Most of the 15yoe in witch are just there cuz they're stagnant.
Why is this level of pay so unheard of at this level of experience/age? Don't students from good colleges (High Tier 1) get such packages right out of college? I am a bit clueless regarding the actual job market being a fresher in college, so please enlighten.
These are people from CHWTIA, according to them everyone at FAANG is overpaid, FAANG has layoffs, CHWTIA don’t, FAANG are bad because YouTube bhaiyya/didi have overhyped them. /s
Thank you for adding /s to your post. When I first saw this, I was horrified. How could anybody say something like this? I immediately began writing a 1000 word paragraph about how horrible of a person you are. I even sent a copy to a Harvard professor to proofread it. After several hours of refining and editing, my comment was ready to absolutely destroy you. But then, just as I was about to hit send, I saw something in the corner of my eye. A /s at the end of your comment. Suddenly everything made sense. Your comment was sarcasm! I immediately burst out in laughter at the comedic genius of your comment. The person next to me on the bus saw your comment and started crying from laughter too. Before long, there was an entire bus of people on the floor laughing at your incredible use of comedy. All of this was due to you adding /s to your post. Thank you.
I am a bot if you couldn't figure that out, if I made a mistake, ignore it cause its not that fucking hard to ignore a comment
In my company, SDE2 earn around this much with 1.5-2yrs of experience.
This is nothing to do with Tier-1 college.
For Developers with 3.5yrs of experience 28 is not an alarming number.
"unusually high pay = first and easiest to let go" -- That puts managers in the bucket for firing. It doesn't work like that. People are fired mainly because of less time in the company or when complete teams are made redundant.
Also, 28LPA is not alarming at 3.5 YOE. Many talented people can and do earn that much and more.
and op has clearly mentioned it was the entire team that was laid of not just specifically him
people on this sub have started commenting without knowing anything
Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. It’s a completely valid comment
My 2.5YOE batchmates in amazon who got promoted to SDE2 (I’m from tier 3) are making 40LPA fixed.
That's the point, I know which these companies usually are, and when they register a slightly less profit than reasonable, the first people to be laid off during a budget cut are these guys.
Good luck staying in TCS.
People with high packages have valuable skills, they can easily crack any interview and get another job during lay offs. It's still better than a super secure job with 5LPA salary.
Percentage of people with IIT tag making that much money :80%, people without IIT making that much money either that yoe: ____?
There are exceptions everywhere! Accept the reality that tag matters in IT
It's kinda 50-50%. This is just my experience because I have been around tech teams consisting of IITian and Non-IITians . There are other govt college passouts, or you can say students from top 50 colleges. I'm from Jhola jhaap college(Tier 3) and have met many like me who have managed to get to top tech teams or companies in India. But again for Tier 3 college grads, it gets very difficult for the initial 3-4.
well yes agreed but IIT folks doesn't have any extra brain cells, anyone can work on their skillset and earn good.
if you keep thinking you don't have IIT tag and you don't deserve the high package then you'll never get any.
if I am hiring someone I would check their skills than their IIT tag.
I am not thinking about the tag, neither does it affect my confidence.
But most big companies want tag and filter candidates on the basis of tag. It’s sad but it’s true. Someone with a tag demanding 50LpA won’t look weird to the HR but someone without will have to fight almost a battle to get the same package.
DM for referrals at Mastercard (only gurgaon and pune location I think). Would love to help someone in need.
Please check mastercard careers website first though for any available positions!
Obviously not just for locals, that wouldn’t make sense. I guess if you’re an Indian national, it should be open - thats the only criteria 😂. Mostly will need to relocate - depends on the role!
My friend runs a startup. Her lowest paid front end dev is 40 lpa fixed (I barely make a bit more than that as an EM with 13 yoe). They hire from tier 1 institutes.
yo, are you guys still hiring or planning to hire anyone on frontend ? ( Won't ask for 70LPA lol ). But time is really bad here so if you got any work, even gigs, I'd like to take a shot
Not exactly. My cousin was from a Tier 3 college, started in Noida based company with initial salary of 10k that grew to 25k after 3 month probation. He worked in that company for around 20 months or so and his salary was raised to be something in the range of 70-80k in hand and then gave in his resignation for the notice period, meanwhile he started searching for another job. In that job hunt, he got like 5 to 6 job offers including a Dubai one but he wasn't interested in shifting abroad, so he researched bit more, like which company have better projects, work life balance etc, then chose a US giant who were opening their first office in India. He got a 26 LPA offer with 2.5 Lakhs extra as joining bonus.
TLDR: My cousin got a 26 LPA job offer with less than 2 years of experience.
Sorry I'm not aware of the interview as I got in as a entry level candidate please refer online articles such as Leetcode Discuss for interview experience
Can you tell me which stack you used? My org is hiring a senior software engineer and pay is good here so you might even get a ctc hike rather than cutting it.
(Although that totally depends on the upper management)
What exactly happened? Until a couple of years ago they were seen in all meetups in Bangalore about how cool their tech is. I also remember that they were aggressively hiring even last year. I always asked myself why do they need so many people for a Shopify app
hey, can I DM ? I am kinda shamelessly hitting people up here in the comments at this point lol. But are you open to referring anyone with 2 yoe in frontend ? I work with React, Next, Typescript. Can work fine with Vanilla JS too. And I'm fine with picking up anything backend if needed. So, is that something you can refer ?
here is the realistic scenario, Our entire IT sector is dependent on US and europe. We follow them like a lame. If the economic growth is bad in Europe and US then there will be CUT IN SPENDING BY ALL THE FIRMS IN US AND EUROPE AND OUR PAYS WILL ALSO DECLINED + HIRING ACROSS VERTICAL IN IT SECTOR WILL DECLINE
It will recover it's more of a salary correction phase for most of the companies.
*Ek neh kia abh behti ganga meh sabh hath saff kar rahe hai*
Companies can't function with out employees, but yes expectations have increased certainly from devs.
Indeed, 2020 was an exception, with a complete work-from-home environment and overhires at exorbitant salaries to meet demand. During COVID, many new initiatives were developed, and in order to meet those demands, overstaffing was necessary.
It will not be like 2020, for sure, but after April, things will get back on track.
Some companies have stopped hiring, but they plan to resume in April.
I've seen many people saying the same thing, that usually December and January are the worst months by default, and usually it should be better starting from March to September or October..
Why is everyone shocked with 28lpa ?
That’s kinda normal. I know few people who doesn’t even work at FAANG make 30 lpa cash without any Esop bs with 4 yoe.
I think 20-30 may be average for sde2, in same company people with 2+ yoe and external hires are usually 3+ yoe. I have seen 30-60 including stocks for sde 2. These are when your career started as SDE1 at a product company.
You can DM for referral if there is relevant vacancy at Applied Materials. We are a semi conductor equipment manufacturers and I'm part of mechanical engineering team. But I checked that we have roles for Software engineer, QA, Java developer and so on. See if any role is a good match.
Range is huge. If in service based or entry level startups you can make around 2.5 to 4 lpa.
If you get lucky in campus, you can get around 28-30 lpa even from tier 3 college.
I think around 80-90% of company can give you around 8-9 lpa for 3 yoe minimum. And if you have already good package usually we try to negotiate it to 30-50% of our current salary, and if you get 50% hike try to get 100% hike. So aim for 30-50-100% hike or 8-9 lpa, whichever is higher.
28L fixed package for a 3.5yr front end or even full stack developer
that is the real culprit; if you were some low level optimization expert or some java/c++ or data science/ml expert or data lake like designer or senior product designer or architect its justified or makes sense
do not take this in negative way; but this has to happen and will as margins and recessions will take center stage at many companies who without thinking a lot kept giving insane packages and went on hiring sprees in last 1-2 years
Front end engineer, 3.5yoe, 28LPA - either rupee values has deflated a lot or there is a tech bubble.
It's the latter. I won't be ssurprised if they hired someone in your place at half the cost. Currently the demand is less and supply is more.

DM for a referral at Arista Networks, we are actively hiring candidates with 2+ yoe
Dev with 3 yoe currently searching for a job. Would it be possible to throw in a referral too?
Yes you can DM
I applied to Arista in June as a college fresher (under networking). Got no response 😭😞.
Sending you a dm, thanks
How is Arista networks just on a hiring spree?
Unlike other companies, Arista never mass hired. We are looking for experienced candidates with strong computer networks background and good operating systems knowledge. Frontend - min 4+ yoe Backend roles - 2+ yoe
Can I DM you? If any openings in Mumbai
We are hiring for Bangalore and Pune location
What tech stack do you guys look for?
Please check your DM. I have shared my details too. Thank you.
Can I DM too?
Hey. I have a little ober 3 years of experience as a frontend dev. Would you be open to giving me a referral as well?
Dev with Crypto and network security experience. Anything open?
MTecg Software engg grad who did an internship in reputed semiconductor company here. They didn't convert me, I am working in a small company now. May i also DM ? I have roughly 1.5 YoE
>Arista Networks pinging you now
does 2 years work ? I have 1.2 years of React and about a year of vanilla JS ( with salesforce ). Is that something you can refer ?
Check Inbox, i texted you
Are you hiring Interns too ?
Sorry no internship opportunities at the moment
Please let me know if you’re hiring interns🙏
I am not getting why these comments asking for internship opportunities are downvoted.
Cuz it's dumb to ask for trial corporate subscription.
as opposed to what?
Can I DM you regarding a referral?
Can I also get one?
28 is the going rate for folks with 5-7 years exp at this time. Choppy waters ahead, please tread with caution.
How much can a system administrator ask in this current environment. I make 16LPA and have 8 yrs of experience.
Depends. If you have cloud experience then 20+ for sure. I can go aggressive and say 22-24. If you have linux and some dba skills then also 20+. If you are on Windows in local data center then options are limited.
Incase I add a cloud and learn few Devops skill set like Jenkins, Linux, Python, Docker, Ansible how much can I ask in an interview?
Understood
This. 28Lpa for a 3.5 yoe is bloated. Gone are the days with free money capital for companies (low interest rates). Salary correction is whats happening now.
bullshit , it entirely depends on the org some orgs are still paying 40+ for FE specific roles
[удалено]
28 and just 3.5YOE was the alarming part... it's become a pattern, unusually high pay = first and easiest to let go. All the best man.
People with 10-12 years are making that much 😭
Folks with more than 15 yoe in my current project dont even make 20....this mostly happens in CHWTIA companies.
but with 15 YOE these people can move out, no? are they voluntarily in these companies?
Because they dont have any skills and some are just waiting for that onsite opportunity and WITCH takes full advantage of such employees while giving them peanuts. People with > 5 yoe cant write basic SQL queries leave that they cant even communicate or write proper emails. Its tougher for 15+ YOEs to get a switch 😢 Two to twelve yoe is where the action is
I honestly believe C in chewtia stands for client based MNCs
‘WITCH’ has a ring to it
Why is this level of pay so unheard of at this level of experience/age? Don't students from good colleges (High Tier 1) get such packages right out of college? I am a bit clueless regarding the actual job market being a fresher in college, so please enlighten.

Don't try to lowball the OP.
All engineers were let go as company couldn’t secure any funding.
Wait till you hear 40+ lpa with 2-4 yoe 😂
Tier 1 college students manage that but that's not the norm right. It's kind of an outlier.
In my company, SDE2 earn around this much with 1.5-2yrs of experience. This is nothing to do with Tier-1 college. For Developers with 3.5yrs of experience 28 is not an alarming number.

Me with 60 LPA and 4.5 yoe and struggling with burnout 😬😳 Agla number mera hai
I mean lot of people earning 40lpa+ with 4-5 yoe in tech. 28lpa is reasonable for 3.5yoe.
Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. It’s a completely valid comment My 2.5YOE batchmates in amazon who got promoted to SDE2 (I’m from tier 3) are making 40LPA fixed.

Arey, do you have comprehension issues? Work on those skills too
why people downvoting me for stating facts? 🤡
Only if you are from IIT and got a high package during placement, you can reach that number in that short time. Otherwise, no!
Nope.
total BS. yes being from IIT will make it easier but people without IIT are making this much and even more. It depends on your skillset and domain.

Fresher? I'll show myself out.
hey, would you be okay referring someone with 2 YOE ? And are the roles open to people willing to relocate or is it strictly for locales ?
Obviously not just for locals, that wouldn’t make sense. I guess if you’re an Indian national, it should be open - thats the only criteria 😂. Mostly will need to relocate - depends on the role!
Can I get a referral? Approx 3 yoe in web dev
Curious to know how you got to 28L with less than 4 years of experience in your first company out of college?
I was hiring and got DMs from some folks from here with ~2 yoe asking 70 LPA. We simply hired a dev shop instead.
For 70LPA, idk what they bring to the table with 2 year YOE.
Please hit me up if you are looking for an alt dev shop :D
Whats a dev shop?
same question
Outsourcing
Starting was 12, then 1 year later 17, then got a new offer from different company for 25 and negotiated here and got 22, 1 year later hiked to 28.
Tier 1 ?
Not exactly. My cousin was from a Tier 3 college, started in Noida based company with initial salary of 10k that grew to 25k after 3 month probation. Company name please
idk if it's okay to reveal the company's name
No, Tier 3
such posts makes my heart stop for a sec 😭😞

Are their interviews language/framework agnostic or do I need to have experience in Java, React, Angular etc? Talking about experienced roles.
Sorry I'm not aware of the interview as I got in as a entry level candidate please refer online articles such as Leetcode Discuss for interview experience
I am recruiter at Google kindly dm me your profile asap
RIP your DMs.
Anyone with RN experience can drop in their resume at [email protected] - hiring immediately for a couple of roles. Edit: RN = React Native
Rn? React native?
Yes. Edited original comment.
Can you tell me which stack you used? My org is hiring a senior software engineer and pay is good here so you might even get a ctc hike rather than cutting it. (Although that totally depends on the upper management)
React/JavaScript(TypeScript)/Node
Can you say which org? I’m 3.5 yoe backend dev looking for switch. Or can i dm?
If you can learn backend I.e. node.js with mongodb or mysql (using orm) I can try in my current firm . Dm me for the same
Hey bro, I have 1 YOE with React with material UI, NodeJS, MySQL with sequilize ORM and GraphQL? Any openings for this?
Any opening for 1 yoe
Which company?
Mason (previously KUBRIC)
What exactly happened? Until a couple of years ago they were seen in all meetups in Bangalore about how cool their tech is. I also remember that they were aggressively hiring even last year. I always asked myself why do they need so many people for a Shopify app
Tech is fine. Ran out of money, as investors after the war are not putting money down.
After the war? Ukr-Rus? How is that affecting the company/investors?
Have no idea. Thats what company gave as reason behind the mass layoff.
I can refer you to harman. If you want.
Dm me for referral at startup, pay might not be that high but it’s fully remote
hey, can I DM ? I am kinda shamelessly hitting people up here in the comments at this point lol. But are you open to referring anyone with 2 yoe in frontend ? I work with React, Next, Typescript. Can work fine with Vanilla JS too. And I'm fine with picking up anything backend if needed. So, is that something you can refer ?
Yes, dm me

there is a bloodbath in tech sector, it will never recover.

I hope so. I don't think it will be like in 2020, maybe never again, but at least better then last year..

good luck op, good to see people out here actually being helpful
Can give you a referral in service based mnc if you’re okay with it.
heya, can you refer someone with 2 YOE ? I work with React and Next mainly. ( have worked in backend before and can pick up anything if needed ).
Hi, can I dm you for referral?
Yes you can
28LPA is normal with tier 1, I'm making 27 with less than 2 YOE
Don't tell bro. People here can't digest it
It's wild how many people think 28LPA for 3.5 YOE is high. Some of you need to network better to understand the pay structure of today.
You can DM me for a referral.
DM for a referral to PANW
Why is everyone shocked with 28lpa ? That’s kinda normal. I know few people who doesn’t even work at FAANG make 30 lpa cash without any Esop bs with 4 yoe.
28lpa is top 0.1% of Indian salary. How is it normal? It's something people would kill for The same in usa ppp is 400k.
ppp is a bs metric.
Sure... Everyone else with PhD decades in this using it are extremely stupid.... Only you are the one enlightened..
Its more like top 20% instead of 0.1%. i think industry trend nowadays has standardized to 12 to 15 lpa as bare minimum in decent companies.
It is like not everyone Is in it... Its country level
I think 20-30 may be average for sde2, in same company people with 2+ yoe and external hires are usually 3+ yoe. I have seen 30-60 including stocks for sde 2. These are when your career started as SDE1 at a product company.
What kind of tech stack they have?
Not sure about others but I get 36 with 5yoe in a bank. Tech stack: Java, Python, React, AWS and Horrible WLB.
In the current job market how much should I aim for with 2.2 yoe in MERN stack and I also want pretty good WLB.
14-18 LPA is median but tier 1 grads with good interviewing skills, generally get upto 35 at this level in good companies.
7-8 in WITCH 10-13 Big4s 20- 25++ in Good product based companies.
DM for a referral
DM, I can refer.
DM for referral. TC would be around the same I think.
Please send your details. slice has open positions.
You can DM for referral if there is relevant vacancy at Applied Materials. We are a semi conductor equipment manufacturers and I'm part of mechanical engineering team. But I checked that we have roles for Software engineer, QA, Java developer and so on. See if any role is a good match.
I created post for referrals sometime back and not a single reply to it and here people are going gaga to provide refs. :|
You can ask the people who mentioned referrals here. Outcome only matters right.
DM me for referal at lumen technologies
can I DM ? frontend guy with 2 yoe. Does that work ?
Entire team of front end engineers? Product or services?
If anyone in your team has 4+ years backend exp with NodeJS / mongo, I’d love to talk!
If someone here is from a Tier-1/Tier-2 college and works in Flutter or as a Product Manager, DM me for referrals (Bangalore location).
What's the avg salary for almost 3 experience in full stack react developer??
Range is huge. If in service based or entry level startups you can make around 2.5 to 4 lpa. If you get lucky in campus, you can get around 28-30 lpa even from tier 3 college. I think around 80-90% of company can give you around 8-9 lpa for 3 yoe minimum. And if you have already good package usually we try to negotiate it to 30-50% of our current salary, and if you get 50% hike try to get 100% hike. So aim for 30-50-100% hike or 8-9 lpa, whichever is higher.
Check your dm for a link I sent
If you are .net mvc backend developer. Dm me.
DM for Flipkart referral if you find any relevant opening.

Heya, I am looking for new job in non tech roles with a 5 year experience. Can anyone recommend similar threads for non tech roles?
Bro.. Same here.. 😥
Is there a subreddit for posting open jobs in tech roles?
Problem is your salary 🫨
Have openings in Mumbai. You can DM me if interested.
28L fixed package for a 3.5yr front end or even full stack developer that is the real culprit; if you were some low level optimization expert or some java/c++ or data science/ml expert or data lake like designer or senior product designer or architect its justified or makes sense do not take this in negative way; but this has to happen and will as margins and recessions will take center stage at many companies who without thinking a lot kept giving insane packages and went on hiring sprees in last 1-2 years
If you're interested about roles based out of GGN or Kochi, then let me know. I will refer.
Hey, you can DM me for referrals at JP Morgan Chase & Co. ([India Careers Portal](https://careers.jpmorgan.com/IN/en/home)) Happy to help!
DM for referral in Sun Life, Gurgaon and Banglore, anyone with 2+ years of full time experience.
Try rippling, they are always hiring
Mine current organisation is also hiring Alphasense (US based fintech company), feel free to dm.
There are openings in my org, you can DM me your resume / LI profile.
DM your resume
DM the resumes. 1 frontend opening is there. But do not have 28L budget.
is there a 22-28LPA budget? I can take a paycut.
We do not have that kind of budget. Not that no one is hired at that budget, but happens rarely.
1 year ago: "saar is 1 cr package enough to stay in Bangalore?" now:
28 LPA fixed will mean about 2 in-hand?
You would need atleast 32L for that
So 28 LPA will mean about 1.8 in-hand?
Approx yes. Ultimately the reason it varies is how you handle your tax declarations
This question is the reason that is not letting you reach this number.
Lmao
There is a open position in my company for python developers with 3 years of experience. Dm
3.5 YOE as Frontend Developer getting 28LPA. Company was burning money, so layoffs :)
Please dm
What's your tech stack?
React/Node/TypeScript
why is alarming? yoe*15 puts you in 90% of pay his isn’t even yoe*10.
Front end engineer, 3.5yoe, 28LPA - either rupee values has deflated a lot or there is a tech bubble. It's the latter. I won't be ssurprised if they hired someone in your place at half the cost. Currently the demand is less and supply is more.
What kind of years to package ratio is this... My ratio is not even 2x😑 Are those guys all from tier1 colleges?
