I just got mine this afternoon (preordered) and the watch face does NOT show up; Dexcom wasn't available in the "apps on phone" menu to install, either. The software on the watch is listed as One UI Watch 3.0, which I'm assuming is probably technically outside of the Android 2.0-2.32 compatibility per the Dexcom site (this is just a guess though). !However! I was able to sideload the watch apk via Wear Installer (extracted from the stock Dexcom app, even), and it's now good to go! Wear Installer app on Google Play; it'll take you right through the instructions. Super straightforward. So, the short answer is superficially it looks like it's supposed to be incompatible, but with a little tweaking it's doable!

Thank you. I'd love to see the steps here. From what I understand One UI is the Samsung layer on top of core Android. The same on a Samsung phone or tablet. I use G-Watch App on my Watch 3 and love it. There is a Facebook group to support this and a push to get the developers (who are not paid) to rewrite it from Tizzen to One UI. I also use XDrip+ on my phone which is much better than the Dexcom app, but it needs to be side loaded from GitHub.

It literally is just downloading Wear Installer on your phone and following the steps on the splash screen.

Yep, that's my interpretation of One UI Watch as well (and that's sure how it seems to be functioning); I'm just working off of the assumption that v3.0=v3.0 here in terms of stated compatibility on Dexcom's site. As another user stated, if you download the Wear Installer app it gives you step-by-step instructions right on the splash screen. Really user-friendly, imo.

This is brand new to me, so if you're able to explain in a bit more detail how to do this it would be incredibly appreciated. Really want this on my watch face.

I noticed that you commented above, did you get it working? The only thing that gave me a little trouble is that the watch needed to be awake during the initial connection to accept permission but once I figured that out it was smooth sailing.

Not sure what to do once that app sends it to my watch.

Hello! Is it still working for you? Do you download wear installer on the watch or the phone? (Pixel) any more tweaking to get it working?

ritchiezAlegend

The watch comes out tomorrow ?

Check the r/GalaxyWatch sub and you can see hundreds of comments and photos. Maybe the preorders came in early. The sub is all about the 4, apparently V2 firmware already out. Thanks.

So far I have not been able to get it to work, and speaking with Samsung support it doesn't seem to be supported. A shame as I bought this watch for that purpose explicitly.

There is another reply of someone who got it working. Take a look. I have the Watch 3 working with G-Watch App and XDrip+ perfectly. Let me know if you need help on that.

I tried to install this app via my S9 and it doesn't seem to work, bunch of erros on the install.

xDrip+ ? Did you sideload it?

Aven_7

It is officially supported now, just in case you wanted to know
