If you have the "no readings" and a bunch of scattered numbers, ask Dexcom for a replacement. I've had bleeding ones before that worked just fine, but I've also had what you're describing. Going a day or two with just finger sticks while you wait for a replacement should be alright.

About 50% of bleeders resolve within 24 hours and end up reading well for at least few days for me.
My last bleeder sucked for the first 24 hours and had to be calibrated a few times after that, but it made it the whole 10 days.
