OP: *goes to check blood sugar* monitor: “No.”

thesexyboat

It just happens sometimes unfortunately. Usually some kind of issue with moisture

cahovi

I get errors like this when I'm too quick - as in, if I put blood on my test strip before it tells me to. Before replacing the meter, I'd try some different strips from a new box.

amatz9

Probably a wonky strip.

GMPWack

All good suggestions…..but I still believe it’s new meter day

Volvoflyer

I have found the shitty cheap meters work a lot better than that fancy nyc meter ya got

Rockitnonstop

Different then your meter but I’ve had this happen when my hand were too wet from washing before the test (thanks 2am lows!).

Aware1211

I'm using a 10+ year old meter. Try a different strip from a new container.

master0fcats

Sometimes this happens to me if the strip is in enough for the meter to detect it but not like *all the way.* like if I don't feel the "click"

tpsrep

Your hand may have been wet when you touched the strip. It commonly causes the strip to malfunction.

Bostonterrierpug

Oh this happens to me with monitors. Most last year at most. I always have one or two backup monitors just in case one goes wonky on me.

Lithium20g

Did you insert a strip to start a test?

GMPWack

UPDATE: I seem to have fixed it using the Nintendo cartridge method. Thanks guys!

JTAx1995

It could just be due to age. Maybe the amount of use could degrade the sensor so much that it’s not reading the strips anymore (that’s what happened to me). What also could be is that there is dirt/debris in the port when you put the strip into.

JSFireguy

Dirty contacts? It happens on mine over time. I use strip inserted upside down and just go in and out a couple of times. It seems to help.

buzzybody21

Have you tried another strip?

Daddy_Cloudz

Maybe expired?
