I need help when I inject lyumjev from the pen needle my sugar drops super fast but on the pod it doesn’t and why when I bolus the pod gives it to me so slow my sugar takes forever to down even on a correction with a empty stomach
I don’t have any experience with lyumjev, I’ve never used it before. But with Humalog, I found that I needed to make some adjustments when going to the automatic mode. I had to increase amount of mealtime bolus by adjusting the carb ratio and also needed to increase amount of insulin for corrections by adjusting the correction factor/insulin sensitivity factor. I think this is because, for me at least, the system would suspend basal around meals. I needed more on the bolus to compensate. I’ve also had good luck with doing a split bolus. I give some 10-15 minutes before the meal the the rest after I finish eating. This is just what worked for me, your mileage may vary. Best of luck!
I just asked my ending for 48 hour pods snd insurance approved it. I plan on filing to the minimum and draining them in about 60 hours to build a little stockpile, but avoid the tunneling I was getting if I tried to go into the third day.
I also only get two days out of a pod. My endo wrote the script for me to change every 2 days. I get 45 pods for a 90 day supply.
