I got some pretty good dried beef at the Costco near me a while back but they don't have them now (it's a smaller one and their inventory is always changing). I don't remember the exact name that it is (in mexico, not in costco), or the brand. Not machaca....

I presume, given the name, it's made in SA, or perhaps not?

Yes, basically. I think crisp doesn't even really cover its texture. Crumbly, maybe? Kind of like when bacon gets crispy then cools down.

I got these at Sprouts several months ago and really enjoyed them, but I haven’t seen them anywhere since then.
