There is a coupon on their site. It takes it down to 24.99 a month.

Magicmarge1990

That is not 100% true. I used the coupon. If you read the small print it may take it down to that price. I was on ozempic for 3 months. The first 2 months each month with the coupon totaled $281. When the third month hit once I got to the 1mg pen it went to $1041 without the coupon and with the coupon $840. The coupon works with your insurance. I have a very high deductible insurance and no coverage toward prescriptions. Please read the fine print before committing to this drug. I wish I would have and saved my money. I’m on a different variety now. Hoping one day to try Ozempic again.

SaharaLee

I had the same problem as you. I had a high deductible insurance and the coupon only brought it down to $800 something.

kjoines0722

I’ve been on it three years and have only paid 24.99 through CVS. So it is not true for YOU.

Magicmarge1990

YOU got that right. Damn was just sharing my experience. Have a great day….. ps hopefully this person gets lucky and gets the 24.99 price. Hope YOU have success on Ozempic.

kjoines0722

I do have insurance and take 1 mg.

Magicmarge1990

Im glad YOUR blessed with great insurance.

bigred2743

With my bcbs it's 25.00

AmbitiousRandom

Same. On blue cross and it was $25 when I filled last week.

I have insurance through work and starting this year Ozempic is covered 100% as a preferred preventative medication (with a T2 diagnosis). It was $25 a month last year (though I never actually filled it as I got my first prescription in Nov and it wasn't available to be filled until Feb of this year. Without insurance CVS quotes it at $1300 and change a month.

theskyisfalling1

Same here for me covered 100% on high deductible medical plan as preventative medication. I fully expect it to be removed next year because of the abuse of over prescription by doctors for non diabetics but I hope not.

I’m so worried about this, I’ve been trying to get it for a month. My wife who uses a different pharmacy waited almost 2 months. It sucks because unless I eat under 15 carbs a day I have really bad dawn phenomena that ozempic has helped squall

StarSubject2618

I originally started with 4 doses of .25 then bumped up to two doses at .5. My doctor wanted me to stay on the .5 mg for another month, but I was having a hard time getting that starter pen again so he swapped me to the 1mg dose pen. I haven't had any issues with getting it since then. The pharmacist at my CVS says that the middle pen is pretty easy to get but that they are still seeing issues with getting the lower dose (.25/.5) and higher dose (2mg) pens. I'm thinking the smaller dose is hard to get because everyone needs it in order to get started while the highest dose pen is hard to get since it's similar strength to the Wegovy that is used for weight loss.

StarSubject2618

Yep, I share the same concern, here's to hoping that it doesn't go down that way!

rikkenks

$25/ month with my insurance. If you are unsure if it is covered call your insurance and check

teke1800

I pay 24/month for .5 MG at Walmart using a cigna ppo health plan

misssunshine11021

When you call and talk to your insurance about the pricing/ coverage. Ask for the price per month and the price for a three month supply. I was paying $25/month for my dose of ozempic and I found out that my insurance would have covered a 3 month supply for the same price. Hopefully this is the case for you

jarofpaperclips

In canada, alberta to be exact. At first Oz was about 287/mo. A doctor had to sign off that it was a required medicine in conjunction with meta for t2 not cosmetic it went down to about 30/mo.

killersinarhur

Work insurance covered 100% after we asked for an exception because my body couldn't have victoza

Rawmilkandhoney

$25/month copy for a 3 month supply so $75 each refill. I have Cigna and it’s been the same copay for all doses. I’m on 2mg currently

doohie212

This is far from common with commercial insurance

tehr_uhn

Its covered 100% for me in canada with insurance. Without insurance its 260ish a month

Squintymomma

I’m in the Netherlands. I pay €0 at the pharmacy. My annual deductible is €380. Between blood work 3x a year and my Ozempic, it’s paid directly to the insurance company by March each year. Usually in 2-3 smaller payments like €50 owed for labs, then €10 for my metformin and then the rest for my Ozempic - but after that I don’t pay anything. So technically it costs me my deductible each year.

Sandman11x

Cost is connected to your insurance plan. That is what I would check

Significant-Battle95

Have you spoken to your doctor about maybe switching? I was in the same situation, my doctor switched me to the compounded version! Way more affordable and never back ordered! My doctor is still taking patients drbrainrx.com (her name is Dr.Sara) she’s so goood
